After a very long while, I once again had a week of five straight one-shot CRBs on Hard difficulty. The only noteworthy ones were the Porsches, done as the fourth race of the first day:

And the F3500s done today. I gambled hard and went in with a non-swapped car on RHs relying on the rubberbanding to give me a chance and it surely did. Not the fastest run out there by any means but probably a hard to beat PP to victory margin ratio.

Feel like we've had this Jimny race several times, so I blasted through it, with a swapped Jimny. The speed was hilarious, and pretty dang fun.

Recently bought this car, and was surprised at the engine sound. Like an old muscle car, which I guess it technically is. Either way, fun to drive, with just race suspension, and SS tires, if I remember correct.

I've never really been into exotics, or hyper cars, but since GT5, I've been a fan of the F430. Always been a nice car to drive.

Finally got a chance to use the offroad Porsche. Was worried it would have been too slow stock, so put med turbo, and RH tires. That was way too much, so will probably try it again stock, just to see what it does.

The F3500 race on easy, was...very easy. Even pitted once for tires, and still won by a lot.

Is that the Porsche rally car from the Power Pack? I tried it stock and it wasn't quick enough.

For the Porsche Cup races I first always attempt them with one of my favourite stock cars in the game, the Porsche 911 Carrera RS CS (993) '95. After losing to P1 by 3-5 seconds each time I moved on to the next stock Porsche in the PP scale, and then the one after that.

Then an idea dropped in my head - what if I changed the tires in the '95 from SH to SM? My first attempt put me within 2 seconds of the leader across the finish line. This told me it might be possible.

Multiple attempts later I got in front clean on the third last corner. He didn't like that and rammed me on the last corner which ended up slowing him down too much to catch up to me crossing the finish line. Your fault buddy. Got the win and the CRB. 🎉

The Nations Cup season is done, so I have time again to do the Weekly Challenges (all hard difficulty).

My picks this week:

My races:

Sardegna Windmills - Suzuki Jimny Sierra JC '18 - Not sure what modifications were made to this car. I found it ready to go in my garage. Easy win for the first ticket.

Sardegna - Renault Clio R.S. 220 Trophy '16 - No modifications to the car. I didn't remember where all the braking points were on this track, so I made a few mistakes on the first lap. By then, I was too far behind the lead car to catch up. Finished P2. Whatever. Good enough for the check mark.

Deep Forest - Ferrari F40 '92 - I upgraded the tires to SS, and it's a good thing I did. The car still needed miles to brake at the end of the straights. Another easy win for the second ticket.

Lago Maggiore - Porsche 911 Carrera RS CS (993) '95 - I threw all the sports-level upgrades at this thing, along with SS tires. That was just enough for a good race. I only managed to finally get by Carrazza on the final lap, with that yellow rocket of his. Fourth box checked.

Red Bull Ring - Gran Turismo F3500-B - I wasn't sure what to expect for tire wear with such a high multiplier, so I threw on some RMs to see how long they'd last. To the very end, it turns out. I took the lead around lap 15 when the leader went into the pit. The tires were noticeably losing their grip to the end, but by then I had a big enough gap that it didn't matter. Another easy win. Final ticket obtained. It gave me 1M credits. Nice!

Cars for this week
all on hard difficulty

Jimny Cup: K24-swapped Jimny Sierra JC, 500+bhp LeMans car and didn't bother for a setup  No CRB🚩

Euro Sunday Cup 500: Renault Sport Clio V6 24V. Stock with sport hard tires. Easy win. CRB✅

Ferrari Circuit Challenge: Ferrari 330 P4 '67 - Stock on racing hard. I really love this car. The sound, the handling, the speed. This was an easy win once more... CRB✅

Porsche Cup: Porsche 911 GT1 'Strassenversion' - sport hard, think I put on racing brakes and added a little restriction to get it on 647PP. The sport tires makes it a little wiggly on some corners, specially T5 (long right hander) and T12-13 (fast chicane prior to last sector). All in all a decent win. CRB✅

F3500 Special Event: F3500-B, no swap. Mansell FW14 livery. Went for the RM to see how it would do. As mentioned above: they last the entire race. No-stop it is. Times drop (or go up, depending how you look at it) a bit in the last 3-4 laps but by then you should be in the lead for an easy win.
And I do mean easy, I am no expert on high downforce/F1 cars, made some mistakes L1-2 and only got to P9 in lap 3... Lap times were between 1:14.low and 1:12.high... If I see people here doing 1:11, 1:10, even 1:09.xxx that leaves A LOT on the table...
No CRB because of previously mentioned mistakes on L1 and L2. 🚩
