“…But I have patience and experience. A man can do anything if he has those."

What I used, two new cars for me the RX7 and Renault are of course new for me, but I am not sure if I had won with the 911 or GTO before, I have now.
The RX7 has the 787B engine, I used RH and lowest fuel map and did a no stop race.
Silver was the best I could do in the fuel run.
The Renault the best with a 400pp was 2nd place.

And that's enough to get the event done! I wouldn't spend a second thought on this.

But the discussion here reminded me of something. I really think it would be great if PD would improve on AT in the next game. Currently it's very basic. A bit more realism, like shifting up depending on throttle position and a kickdown would definitely be nice.
AT in racing games is just manual where the game changes gears for you at the redline.
Having automatic act like an actual automatic, eg taking a corner at 25% throttle in the lowest gear so you get a good launch out, then all of a sudden, bam it upshifts 2 gears because less throttle input, then you floor it BAH BAHHHH as it down shifts.
That will actually make AT worse and this is also not taking the logic behind every autobox in the world as some have very delayed shifts, some suck and constantly gear hunt.
They should bring in that function from GT4 where you could "Hold" the gears in which allowed you to red line it or even go down below 4000rpm.

AT can never be made to short shift for fuel savings or shift after the torque falls off.

5.02 miles on the fuel challenge.

I think I fell asleep once or twice, but I cleared it so I'm not going back again.

that was 35 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

Pretty much a perfect way to do a daily marathon. We can probably conclude I'm pretty decent at the Nordschleife judging by recent showings.
