Used a controller for this on the fuel economy challenge.
My tips would be to use 5th for 24mph and above, shift down to 4th if get to 18mph, shift down to 3rd when 14mph hits, shift up to 4th when at 18mph.

It’s a lot of shifting going on and coasting as soon as the road gets flat. Did not let the car go lower than 14mph.

**** that ****ing WTC700 with the ****ing AI ****ers with no ****ing clue about how to ****ing drive. I've now done two daily marathons without making it to the back straight even once before being brake checked at corner exit, sideswiped on a straight road, or rear ended while trying to not run into the snails doing 50 km/h in a corner that is a breeze at 100 km/h. I'm very quickly developing a not insignificant GT induced anger management issue with this one.

Tbh that's the reason why I usually not care about CRB. It's not about clean and fair racing, it's just about learning and memorizing all those strange behaviors of Reggie.

Restart, and just take it out on the A.I. that did that to you. Revenge is paramount in this game.

I do that all the time, and it calms me down. Best (and even free) therapy ever.

I Must admit that I also do it sometimes out of freaking frustration.
Back in the day with the Tomahawk glitch grind at Tokyo I use to ram the living crap
out of a dumb ass Viper that got in the way. Then I would spend hours of "therapy" time
drinking beer and watching some snake car get launched in to another galaxy in the replays.

You can't even imagine how much I'd like to have full damage modelling just for those cases. I'd happily pay for a new car for myself if it meant I could witness in all its glory the explosion of carbon shards when plowing through the rear quarter without even a hint of braking. Having to settle for the current glued to the road physics where the AI car barely budges just doesn't give the same satisfaction as causing a wreck that looks more like an aircraft crash would.

But, I finally got it done today and then it was the first attempt of the day. I wasn't even going to use this car, a swapped XJ220 was the original plan, but it was perhaps too fast for the traffic and caused more problems than it solved. The extra picture at the end shows pretty well the lap time change after getting out of traffic... and before getting back to it again. One single clear lap in the entire race.

I passed this week's challenges using a gamepad on hard mode and automatic transmission. Had no ability to use the steering wheel. I started with the most difficult race.
#5 WTC700, Mount Panorama
I used Nissan R33 GT-R V-spec '97 with a swapped engine. Fuel economy 5 and RH tyres allowed me to avoid pit stops. But I overtook the leader only when he was in the pits. The final margin was 35 seconds.

#4 Porsche Cup, Kyoto Driving Park
Carrera GT '04 seemed the best for me and it was true. I won this race by a margin of 8 seconds.

#3 Special Event Mission Challenge, Nurburgring Nordschleife
Don't want even taik about it. This event was very boring and I only used one attempt to get the silver prize.

#2 Historic Sporstcar Masters, Nurburgring Nordschleife
As for me Nurburgring two times is too much. However the race had to be won. I chose Mazda RX500 '70 for this event. The car wasn't stable enough, and I caught it at every turn. So finally I won.

#1 European Sunday Cup 400, Dragon Trail - Gardens
I honestly tried to win this race at 400PP without NOS. I used VW, Audi, Renault, Alfa Romeo with no result. Then I increased the PP to 450 for Renault Clio V6 34V '00 and won the race.

For the last month and a half now I've beaten the weekly challenges, but have not received any of the prizes? I see it's been discussed in the past. I have not changed any time zones have not moved any settings at all. They say three prizes were acquired, but I have not received them. I still get my daily workout prize. I can't find anywhere to write into the company. Any suggestions?
