We could set up a tournament for head to head competition with seeding based on this weeks results. If you've ever seen the NCAA basketball tounament brackets, we could set it up like that with semi-finals and finals.

I’m getting there…
Found a better transmission setting for both cars.
Closing on iceman and finally broke into the 12s with the Civic,

I think we need some advertisement… I would like to see 16 or more drivers.

We can also try a double elimination tourney. (unlike the NCAA BB)

I could help you set it up kenny. I'd just need to know who all would want to participate. A head to head comp wouldn't be to hard to setup. The biggest difficulty would be deciding how to do elimination and still have other racers race while the comp goes on. Maybe a comp thread and the regular weekly drag race thread?

Thanks for volunteering - that is a good idea, I'll have to think about that one. PM me when you get a chance.

I'll make a separate thread about this soon.

anyone gonna post their settings on the cars that are running 12.9? preferably Iceman. Id like to se what settings of mine are off.

That's kind of funny LOL.

Anyways, when the closing time for this week?

My most recent time is 12.982...

I'd really like for the winner to post they're setup for this one, just cause it's gay FWD n all.

I had been running 3 gears until today, when I switched to 4 and inproved my time, on a ruff tune, so hopefully I can pull something much better once I get time to dial in the gears.

I believe this will be my last entry; I spent more time than I planned to anyway.

GL everyone (and in case iceman or anyone else won't pass me I promise to post the settings)

Heh. No winner has posted their setup yet. They keep forgetting to save. :irked:

Yeah, kind of disappointing. Better not happen again! lol

"I think we need some advertisement… I would like to see 16 or more drivers"

One way to advertise this series is to link to it in your sig or promote it in the thread ls2_297 created for it in the GT4 main forum area.

Wayne, the deadline is listed in the second sentence of the first post. CST.

Full Customize Tranny, Racing Suspension, All drivetrain upgrades(flywheel, clutch) and racing supersoft tires should help some. Make the front springs squishy, the rear springs stiff. Lower the front ride height about 20 and make front camber 0.0. Remember, you want as much weight as possible transfered to the front as fast as possible since this is a FWD car.

Yeah, done all that. I guess this weeks car just doesn't like me.

I've got one more idea to improve on my time, lets hope it works.

YES! It did....starting in 3rd gear (thanks nismo)

I'm using the Integra DC5 '03.

My settings are:

Racing exhaust, sports chip, NA stage 3. R5/R1. Triple plate clutch, racing flywheel.
Racing suspension with SR and RH all down in front and all up in rear. Camber 0/10. Everything else stock in the suspension.
Racing tranny at x,x,1.660/1.360/1.129/.960....final 6.000 and auto 3.
No driving aids or downforce.
LSD at 60/60/x
Weight balance at 0/-50

BTW yesterday I noticed something new:

The car is listed at 303 hp.
When I click on the graph (in tuning mode) it shows 299hp
But when I watched the replay at the beginning it says 284hp.

That's nothing new, that's why I was so specific in stating which way we will be measuring hp.

BTW check out my edited post above yours :)

Put TCS on 6 or 7 and add front downforce (anywhere between 15-30)
0.030 or so right there.

Really? Even with TCS on 1 it took away all the wheelspin but took much longer overall...I'l have to try this.

I have my TCS set to 4 or 5. Anything below or above those the car goes substantially slower(.1-.5 seconds).

Really? wow...I have the TCS at 7 after alot of experimenting and my most recent time is 12.978 (by the way :sly: ). I 'll have to re-experiment. But then again our current leader says 7 which is where I have mine.

K, well 5 am shift tomorrow, got her down to 12.969...

Let's get some real cars going...no Hunduh FWD BS....RX-7? EVO?...SKYLINE? CHEVELLE? six pack?

Nice competetive week thought, good stuff. 👍

Deuce, please post your full setup in this thread *prays that you wrote it down*

Honda INTEGRA TYPE R (DC5) '03
303HP (299)
12.923

I’m using a new DC5.

Buy any available non-power upgrade including: car wash, oil change, GT wing, stage 3 weight-reduction and R5 tires (front and back)
Power: Port Polish, Engine Balancing, NA stage 2, Racing Exhaust. (no chip) HP should be 303 (299)

How to tune the car:

Suspension
Spring Rate: 15.0 / 5.5
Ride Height: 86 / 156
Bound 10 / 10
Rebound 10 / 1
Camber 0.0 / 0.0
Toe 0 / 0
Stabilizers 7 / 7

Driving Aids
ASM 0 / 0
TCS 6 (I think 7 will give same result)

Downforce
Downforce 30 / 0 (I think that anything over 17 is the same)

Limited-Slip (not a factor at all)
Initial 55
Acceleration 20
Deceleration 60

Weight Balance
Ballast 0
Balance –50

Gear Ratio (you need to follow it step by step as listed, reset the gear before tuning)
Auto 5
1st NA
2nd 2.277 (max left)
3rd 1.824
4th 1.504
5th 1.282
6th 1.101 (max right)
Final 4.729

Launch the car in 2nd gear at 4750-5250 rpm, and immediately apply full-throttle. Upshift as late as you possibly can. And I mean late. Just before you hit the limiter, it is very important to wait till the last, last sec’. Since there are 4 gear changes lots of time can be gain / lose. (yes, you finish at 6th gear)
With the setting you should get a 12.940 easily.

Deuce
