Hello. This week we will be racing the Audi RS6. You can buy it new at your Audi dealer.

NOTE:

-All races are held at the Las Vegas drag strip
-Please save your replay AND YOUR SETTINGS
-No gamesharking is allowed to enhance the car
-Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated
-Winner must post settings at conclusion of race, otherwise the win goes to the next fastest person who can supply repeatable settings
-Post your time here in the thread before the time limit passes (do not PM it to me)

RACE CONDITIONS/LIMITATIONS:

-The only limits are that you must use S2 tires and the car must be under 550hp, measured at the screen where you buy parts for the car.
-That means that everything else is legal, including TCS this week if you so choose to use it.

As you can infer from the rules, it is a good idea to write down your settings and save the replay, as well as your time. I will not require you to post replays, so for those of you who don't have a maxdrive, don't worry. Unlike any other OLR event, you can bump and scrape the walls all you want. Kill some pedestrians, I don't care. BUT - if you don't post settings, or if your settings are questioned by another racer and no one can repeat your run within reasonable limits, either you will have to give away your strategy or the win will be taken away from you.

This will be a 10 point event, 1st place is awarded 10 point, 2nd nine, and so on. Anyone can race any week.

This race will conclude at noon (12pm) Friday March 23rd, EST. This time limit is designed to give you a few extra hours, for I get home from work around 5 or so. That said, if a racer sends me a PM and asks for an extra day due to unforeseen circumstance, I will almost always grant it as long as it doesn't become a habit.

Speaking of PMs.... I am not a Moderator and this is not an official GTP race. I cannot handle a mass influx of PMs. So, this is why you must post your time within this thread before the time limit passes.

Hopefully the refinement of German engineering will translate into good times :)

this looks like a good WDS and i'm definitely in for this one...
i see sub 10sec times coming for this one:crazy:

4 wheel Drive goodness. To bad the only audi I ever played were the TT quattro and le mans.

Oh hey, about the moon roof, anyone think it could really cause some drag. OK, that was corny... I'll return to my corner now

I don't know about sub 10 second times; but I do know that I just updated the leaderboard to reflect 32' Lover's actual result :)

I think 9.5s are possible. I haven't touched the transmission yet because I'm trying to find the best suspension setup with automatic transmission tests

out of fairness i dont think you should post up times after your 'COMPETITION CLOSED' post, i had a top time for the ginetta but coz you already posted i didn't put it up. and yes i am saying this coz he beat my time . but he could have just taken klr settings and said that...

PS: never underestimate audi's, i have driven an S3 and it was one of the fastest cars ive driven stock, even decimating an STI

The point is that 32' Lover's time was posted in the thread before I closed the competition. I just didn't see it because he edited an earlier post. Since it was indubitably present in the thread before I closed it, I had to make the adjustment because he didn't violate any rules.

What was your time for the Ginetta, just curious?

I've never driven an Audi yet - I might get to drive a 350Z within a couple hours though :)

Wow, I didn't even see this was going on!! :banghead: I need to get a time in..

Cheers,
Jetboy

i stand corrected, i apologise as i also didn't see the update of 32's time, i can't remember what my time was for the G4, i think it was around 9.8....

Yeah I need to get a time in as well. Tonight will be my only chance! Last night was too fun to be playing GT4 ;)

new time:10.340

Nice!

For whatever reason this car isn't liking manual. I haven't gotten any faster.

Ooh that's interesting.... and very odd that manual isn't faster.

No problem.

10.298 is my best after my first nights run at it...

just a question for the top timers here(feel free not to answer if you dont want to): do you guys prefer to start with a high 1st gear or go with a 2nd or 3rd gear take-off?
just interested in how you guys like it...
