Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by.

This week we will be running our Touring cars at Las Vegas.

Since they are racing cars do whatever you want, this includes NOS and R5 tires.

Any touring car is eligible as long as it says 'Touring Car' in the name of the car or it is eligible for the DTM Race..... so the 2 Audis, the 2 Mercedes, the 2 Opels, the BMW 320i, the Integra touring car, and even the Mazda touring car are definitely eligible. There may be more, so please state what car you are using when you submit a time - which you can do by posting it in this thread of pm'ing it to me. I prefer you post it here.

Verification is done by you posting your full setup at the conclusion of the week. Save your settings, write them down for your best time. If you win yet fail to produce settings, your win will be stripped away from you and given to me since I always get second :dopey:

This competition will end midnight of August 27th CST.

Don't forget to register for the official WDS Tournament! If you like the WDS but desire a more realistic approach to drag racing, than this is for you with the single elimination system. Click here if interested, you might want to hurry since there are only three spots left!

I can see a few more tenths in the gearing and then I'll start working on the weight balance and suspension fine tuning.

9.012, which will be 8's when I get the time to fine tune things, that time already took long enough for me to get cause my stubborn ass just couldn't stop till I hit 8's, but now I got **** to do so I have to stop LOL.

I'm keeping what car I'm using a secret till the end. ;)

Your definitly not using the Integra :lol: all 560 some HP and FF make it a whole 12 second 0-400m. I think this might be an automatic tranny week for me. Not much difference between auto and manual here.
 
8.928 with stock susp, and drivetrain.
 
Ok, so I had a brain fart and didn't remember that some of the Touring cars are AWD (obviously).

Anyways, my higher powered CLK isn't cutting it now that I've realized this, I'm now approaching 8.8's in a different car after 5 minutes, looks like I might have to try a bunch of cars for this one, and with my luck the one I have is the best and I'll just waste alot of money. LOL

Bugger that - I'm sticking with the CLK no matter how slow it goes. I still think I can get high 8's in it.

The Mazda6 and Opel Calibra touring cars are AWD. The Integra is FF, and the rest are FR.

So far, my obvious choice NOT to run is the Integra. It has the lowest HP and worst drivetrain to drag with.
 
Still in the CLK - changed the suspension a bit

Somebody, I wouldn't try with the CLK too much man, I tuned the bag off that car and I think in the end my best was a 9.010, then I seen German's time and said **** this. LOL



This is going to be a good week with these touring cars.
 
8.743....first run, didn't even adjust anything in the settings.....argh ****, this car can't enter the DTM race....it's a "super" touring car.
 
im keeping my car undisclosed till the end.

Also BCDSM i dunno what car you using but it doesnt break any rules.

Ok Kenny, you the boss so what's the deal, my car isn't eligible for the DTM race, but it's not German, which is why (I think). Anyways if it says super, is that ok? There's only 2 "super touring" cars in the game, and I don't know if their makers just decided to put "Super" in there to try and be cool, or if it's an actual different class of car.

GAH! THE FTO!!! hehehe. Now I just have to get my game up to 25% so I can run the Tokyo Endurance. *sigh* Joy, that's the last FTO I have to win before I finish my collection.

The FTO is my favorite FF car of the GT series and one of my favorite RL cars. Just to bad they never went into production in the USA.
 
Well Wayne you're going to have to tell me either through pm or through this thread just what the super touring cars are and which one you are using.
 
There's the FTO, and the Impreza Super touring cars, I love mitsu, so you know what car I'm running. :P

As long as you find 'Touring Car' in the title of the car and it is a race car, you're good to go.

Edit: 8.172. Still automatic.

EDIT edit: 8.060 with a manual. Thats my time for the week probably.

Make that 7.879 :nervous: ...this car is scary fast. :)

Now, 7.860.....how do you post video files on here, do I need someone to host it? I want to post this and my 1st place qualifying time for the tourney.


Nevermind, I figured it out, I'll zip them up, or make them really ****ty quality, probably zip them, I can't stand watchin things at ****ty quality.

My final time for the night is 7.859, I won't post the video till The weeks over, as well as my Buick run, just so that no one steals my skillz, LOL :dopey: :sly: ....or maybe I just won't post them at all. EVER!!!!! Muahahah.

The above paragraph was a complete joke by the way, just because sarcasm can be hard to catch over the internet, thought I'd make sure.

you and your tranny setting skills GRRR! You need to get rid of your internet access like that one week.....where i won.:)
 
Man! You guys keep making me have to work on the tranny... and you know how much I hate trannys! OK maybe you don't, so heres a good idea of how much I hate trannys... I never buy an tranny unless its a race around the Test Course.

I'm using the Subaru Impreza Super Touring Car, just because I've only got about 10% completion with my game. If I had more time, I'd get the FTO, but school and work are really cutting into my free time.
