Weird problem??

I've just purchased FIFA 13 installed etc.
Now my PS3 is constantly lagging/ freezing during game play and in the menus.
Felt a bit hot so cleaned and did a fan test to no avail.
Any ideas or fixes would be greatly appreciated.

Try deleting the installed data and installing again, how old is your PS3? Has it ever switched itself off or done anything unusual?

It's a slim.. Blue rays are working fine??

Do I have to move my installed data anywhere to back it up??

Is it only in this one game, or all of your games? Maybe they just need to update the game itself... you know how it is nowadays. Release half baked, maybe finish if people buy it and the supplemented DLC.

If whats above isnt the case:
Does it still do it once the data is totally removed from the PS3? Did you update the System using the disc, or from the internet?

Hooked up to Internet updates from there

Think the whole thing is fried
All games and XMB run super laggy

Try to back up as much as you can just in case something else happens, and then do a system restore. If that doesnt do it, it may be the HDD, stuff like this can happen if its near max capacity or just going bad. If that still doesn't help then you may have to send it in for repair or replacement.

Replacing a HDD is relatively easy, its just that the DRM on some game saves can be a pain in the 🤬. Which requires the use of the PSN+ Cloud to back up. If you end up trying to get a new HDD get a big one (500GB+). Even if it doesnt fix the problem, you will still have a nice big new HDD for your new PS3.

Yea I checked the free space 108/129 gb free soo it's not storage I think it may have fried because of confined space in appt. !!
Just started full restore 9hrs worth soo ill se what happens
