O_o Thanks? xD

It definitely feels like it's part of the bone. It's about...dime size? I can only feel it when I bend my head.

One of the things that concerns me is that sometimes, my head makes a cracking noise when I bend over :ouch::irked:

So it's right on the middle of your neck and you only feel it when you bend your head? That would be a vertebrate's spinal processes if so. C1 through C3 vertebrae are only really "touchable" when you bend your head (and a lot of the time not even C1) and C4 vertebrae is the one that sticks out the farthest at the base of your neck.

Edit: The cracking noise is generally caused by slight misalignment and when you move your head the air rushes out and the bones touch causing that cracking sound.

I'm not a doctor though so if anything changes go see one please. Or a chiropractor.

I think I might have the same thing but in my wrist.

Probably a cyste but I'll get it removed when it starts to annoy me, now it just looks cool (freaky) since it only shows when i turn my wrist outwards.

It started with a cyst

THANK YOU. 👍 I guess this was nothing to worry about eh? Thanks!

Post of the year.

You can close if your problem's solved, I'll just move to the funny thread :)

Okay, so I know that there's supposed to be a bump on the back of your neck. But above that one, on the bone, there's another smaller bump.

Is this normal? :nervous:

Don't freak out about it, just go get it checked out. It's probably nothing abnormal.

But I'm too scared to got to the doctor :nervous: And being 13, I can't just drive there and I don't really want to tell my parents....

Like I said being nervous about it will only make it worse and I don't see why you don't want to tell your parents man, if anything they should be worried about you and want to take you to the doctor. It's more than likely nothing serious, you're not going to die!

I'm just afraid it's a tumor or something :scared:

Well the doctor will obviously take a look at it for himself first and then if he can't come up with a conclusion then he'll more than likely order an MRI, X-Rays, or something of that nature to get a better understanding of what it might be which is a piece of cake. It could be something very minor but then again it could be something more serious, so the best thing to do IMO it just have a doctor take a quick look at it. 👍

You wouldn't believe how many times I've had something so minor or nothing at all wrong with me that I've complete freaked out about man.

As you said the bump feels like part of the bone, my thought is too much calcium on your organism. As you should know lack of calcium makes the bones more fragile but too much calcium can create small "bumps" on bones. My science teacher had one on her leg, only noticeble with touch.
So STOP DRINKING MILK

Question is: how do you know that your science teacher had a small bump on her leg?

The things some people will do to get good grades!

I think there is an Alien camping on the back of your neck.. Try ignoring it and maybe it will go away.

Don't come here and ask, go see your doctor just to be sure! It could be anything.. Or if you really think it is a tumour, sitting around doing nothing about it isn't going to fix it and it will only get worse.. Go see your doctor!

Doctors are weird people, it's why I rarely go to one, same with the dentist.

Well that's not applied to all the doctors engaged in treatment of the patients laid up in the hospital, some doctors are indeed trustworthy for their sincere diagnosis and credibility, giving us a clue to have better conditions back following their technical advices. Some are unreliable with their label of incompetence - so it's not certain to superficially consider them to be reliable as a way of solving our health problems.

Ok, now I'll be serious, I know a women who had a thumb-sized bump on her neck and in the hospital it turned out to be cancer. This not a made-up story.
If you have problems with your health please for the love of god go visit a doctor, they're here to deal with your health issues.
Waiting till it gets better (or worse) is a stupid idea.
