Congratulations GTXDriver and Delfino - well done :cheers:

Wish I could have joined you on the podium.

Thanks Neil!
Sorry to hear that only two guys finished the race. :grumpy:
Maybe it was too long distance to race with a bad horsie like the Zonda.
I know that you had some kind of illness,Neil.
I hope you'll be O.K. for the next race. 👍

Congrats on the win Laz .. my time submitted ; basically a test run {couldn't find time to really get into it}

Love the format/venue and look forward to the next race here , whenever that might be , i think if the race had been run at a time other than the christmas period .. there would have been more participants .

In the meantime .. best wishes to the race director and his headaches . {Del goes for a swim to get rid of his .. works 100%}

Yeah, I think that was the real problem Marty, the timing was wrong. I thought that a long race with an even longer deadline would have worked, but I was obviously mistaken.
Maybe a short race, or a double race with either alternate directions OR two cars on the same course would have worked. ( A fast race car over 15 laps & a slower momentum needing car over a shorter distance but with the same time limit )
Hmmmmm? (rubs chin in contemplation)

As to the headache, A swim wouldn't really work for the one's I get. They are caused by sinuses injured over 27 years ago ( A school bully, 5 years older than me, kicked me in the face and smashed my cheek-bone. I nearly lost the sight in my right eye through the ensuing infection causing pressure on my optic nerve, and have suffered irritable sinuses ever since)
The severe air-pressure changes over the week have basically played havoc with my airways and therefore caused the migraine! Swimming, which I used to absolutely love is out of the question. So is scuba diving, parachuting, things I love doing, or anything that involves lots of pressure changes causes lots of pain.
Every holiday/vacation I take that involves flying, results in 2 days of recuperation in the hotel room with hot & cold packs draped over my head after each flight.

Sad but true!

Neil
