Good. I honestly think these potential wet races are a really bad idea anyway. The cars are all spec'd for dry running. All the weeks of testing and setup work were done in the dry. It seems completely pointless to make it wet just for the sake of it. The spray and reduced surface grip will only act to ruin what would otherwise have been a competitive dry race.
It's not me being a pussy, scared it's too difficult. I'm actually very good in the wet; my highest ever UK ranking in the seasonal TTs was on a 100% surface water combo. I just think it adds absolutely nothing to the game. And especially not in races when half the field effectively have 'traction control'.
Would a simple publicly viewable poll would be out of the question?
'Would you prefer all the races to be dry? Y/N.
Either that or I'm gonna have to message round and try to form some sort of 'dry drivers union' so we can threaten with strike action for the wet races![]()
Just finishing my dinner, I'll get on soon. What time do you reckon we'll finish?
Is quali starting about 40 min from now?
I had to retire from this one. I was racing terribly (I know I'm not as good as most of the other drivers here, but this was horrendous) so I don't want to cause problems for others.
I also accidentally cut up Mike up on lap 13, I take responsibility for that.
Meh. Next week I won't be so busy and maybe I'll get more than 15 minutes of practice done before the race!
just had a quick look at the weather for Daytona next week.... patchy rain possible, with sunday being moderate / heavy rain.. lets hope the weather is slow....
Sorry for missing tonight, ended up working later than expected then got caught up sorting tea out - I should be on for next week though
Sounds like fun, does Daytona have change weather?
*pinches himself* no of course not.... was one of those im tired so im going to do something stupid moments![]()
I didn't think so, I'm still going to chech just incase you are trying to confuse me into running a dry race when it should be wet![]()
well that guarantee's at least half the races will be dry:
Suzuka -- dry
Daytona -- no weather change
Laguna -- no weather change
Monaco -- no weather change
