At last we have had our 1st race
and what a race it was
Qualifying was close and in the race drivers were split up a bit but there were battles all the way through and close up front.

EXTRA REGULATION

After race 1 the stewards are unanimous on the decision to add a post race spec check, to avoid anyone gaining an advantage by using a new car for each race and running it in during the race and gaining power throughout the race.

This will be done as soon as everyone is returned to the lobby.
Anyone who either enters their settings or leaves the lounge will be assumed as avoiding the extra spec check and may be disqualified from the race result.
If you disconnect before the spec check has been done we will require a picture of the disconnection message
"you have been disconnected from the server"
On this screen you are asked to press X to continue, so before you do this you need to either get a screen shot or find a camera to take the picture of your TV.
If this is done and the picture sent to the head steward then penalty will be avoided.
This is because you could just quit the game or turn your PS3 system off to avoid the spec check

I've had a little think, and just to add a little something extra to the series, I'm going to be awarding trophies to drivers who do well in certain categories for the race. It doesn't mean anything, just a little fun! So lets get started!

-The Hard Charger Award: my mistake missing whole qualification so not really real thing
-The What Fuel Load? Award:I was little hurry at start to get good space going and after positions settled i started to save my tires because i planned to do only 3 pitstop.

A thought on weather changes;
If the cars aren't balanced for the wet we could have the weather set to 50% with no chance of changing so that its at least overcast but we shouldn't ever have to use wets...

There are only 4 tracks with weather change feature and if it is guaranteed to be pouring with rain at the track on the day then I will be setting the weather to rain, if however there is a 50% chance of rain at the track on the day then I am going to try to manipulate the in game setting to replicate this.

No problems mate next week will be hard for win racing with the pp handicap I will need to drive my butt off and you likewise to get a good result as we will d be down on hp cause of the pp handicap

I think it would be silly to use a new car anyway. Until it's run in properly they always punch well below their weight, or hp in this case. And when you do reach full break in the power drops like a brick. I think you would actually be worse off doing that?

Maybe make sure everyone knows once you're spec checked into the pit lane for qually you are not allowed to leave again. I saw someone, who shall remain nameless, going back out into the tuning menu during qually. I'm sure it was only for gearing or wing but it's not the point.

This is because all the stewards had a suspicion of someone (also remaining nameless) doing exactly that so an extra spec check will just ensure that no one has cheated as over the 2 hours they will be gaining power while everyone else loses power giving a clear advantage. Even if they were to lose some power they will still be above regulation PP at the end of the race.
