I think Black had a better single player game, but it lacked the multiplayer. TS2 was almost as fun as Goldeneye to just sit around and play deathmatches with friends.
To me and my friends it was even better than Goldeneye, played 4 player link long after TS3 came out..:) No game has got my puls up as much as TS2:tup:

I really like playing Madden, but maybe that's just me.
I just like how much you can do in the game that isn't included in other games.

Anyone..?

hmm, it appears you haven't noticed my post from way back.., \/ \/

Armored Core: Last Raven would be the best option.., it's the last Armored Core for the PS2, hence the title. All the parts are there from AC3 - AC: Ninebreaker, plus some additional parts.., i'm currently playing that one right now.., if you do buy Last Raven, give me a PM.., ;)

added Armored Core there somewhere.., :D

if you are totally worried about Armored Core, start from the beginning, as the series was designed in arcs rather than individual world varients. if you can somehow find the original Armored core (it took me forever to find one, and it's SCRATCHED!) play that as well.

if you need a challenge, and didn't grow up in the third/fourth gen arena, grab some of the retro-gaming collections form the 8 and 16 bit eras. a "nintendo Hard" type should suit newer gamers. and even if it gets boring or something, play for a speed run or all secrets.

If you liked Shadow of Colossus, you should try to find a copy of Ico. It's a prequel of sorts. Graphics are showing their age these days but the gameplay and atmosphere are still unique.

I just re-played through DRIV3R and enjoyed every minute of it, Star Wars Battlefront 1 & II get a lot of mileage in my house with my Son playing them and you would be missing out if you haven't played any of the Lego Star Wars games IMO they're some of the best games ever to grace any console

Zone of the Enders 2 is a really good game, I highly recommend it! plus Resident Evil 4 , grand theft auto series, shadow of rome (salvo combos are mad fun!! :D and Prince of Persia series (especially the first one!) ..

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Devil May Cry games, 3 is the best and 1 was also pretty good, never played 2 since I've heard so many bad comments about it so I decided not to spend my money on that.

Also I loved the Megaman anniversary collections, another great game from capcom is Okami which is great and the graphics to this day impress me, Metal Slug anthologies for some old school shooter, and Odin Sphere as a weird action side scroller.

Devil May Cry is somewhat repetitive...though the original is always at best. It was pure at the time.

My alltime favourite game... Beatmania!

GTA 3 and 4
GTA: San Andreas, Vice City
Metal Gear Solid
Winning Eleven 9
Bishi Bashi Special

Yeah, I love the original just the same has the Dynasty Warrior Series. But to me, DMC has not change.

Well, DMC3 had the style changes which added a little more depth.

Rue
Winning Eleven 9

I liked WE7 more, I think 9's learning curve was a lot steeper, that or I had just lost my magic because I had a hard time winning games.

I played 4 but who knows..its an opinionated response. I will get it if I can.

The bad thing about DMC3 nowadays is that if you're getting it new you will only find the special edition with the dumbed down difficulty, either way if you have 4 you're probably familiar with the style gameplay the thing is that in DMC3 you cannot change during a fight, you need to get to a statue to change.

Anyone ever play Shadow of Rome or Spartan Total warrior?

Or any of the Onimusha or Devil May Cry games?

Oh, also what about Project Snowblind and Darkwatch?

I find it a little expected from a hack&slash game.

:ouch:

I've heard good things about Darkwatch and I think it's a little underrated even though it won't change how you view games it's a good shooter.

I'm looking for suggestions too, even thought I need to finish several games on PSone, along with GT4 (still stuck on the last Driving Mission) and just now starting in earnest Pro mode in ToCA 3 (5 out of 177 Cups).

Kinda want another racing game. Haven't really played a NFS game since the first Hot Pursuit I rented way back and the first Underground I bought for an ex-girlfriend's son. Not impressed with the "lets see who can create the best looking accident" Burnout series, not sure how it is as a racer.

I wouldn't mind any of the EA NASCAR games, but being the lover of Road Racing that I am, seems I would skip all the races and run Sears Point and The Glen all the time, especially the Glen since its not in many games.

I like the idea of Armored Core (love Mecca, big Gundam and Macross/Robotech fan), but the control, I never found that easy, maybe its worth another try?

Gamestop has 2 for 1 this weekend, I'm taking Midway Arcade Treasures 3 back it was HORRIBLE, I should have listen to reviews!

I love football and basketball, but I don't like buying previous season sports games, so I'll wait for the 2010 NBA and NFL seasons...

TDU. The PS2 one is massively downgraded from the other versions ( if you're computer runs it, get it for that! ) but it's still a solid title if you ask me.

unfortunately, outside of Gran Turismos themselves, most of the racing games left in PS2 format are all street mod types or some version of NASCAR. the only Road format games I have left are OLD, and a little primitive in comparison.

if you're into Ford Products, Ford Racing 3 is a good way to kill some time, and can be picked up for peanuts (and is the only other place in the gaming world where you can drive a Model T...of a newer vintage than the one in Gran Turismo)

flag wavers should check out Ford versus Chevy (make one save file for each side). it has an actuall PLOT tied to it, and some adventure elements.

for a laugh, pick up a copy of Super Trucks Racing, hot rodded "lorries" on Gran turismo/Tourist Trophy style tracks.

btw, there are something like half a dozen Armored Core's right now, but they're nearly impossible to find (I believe Game Stores are starting to PHYSICALLY destroy old game stock, due to a precieved lack of interest from anyone but collectors, and the fact that 32 bit games are now DLC)

NFS Hot Pursuit 2 is good, classic fun, and Most Wanted has great police chases. Enthusia is also recommended for its physics (only licensed tracks are Tsukuba and the Ring).

Others:
- ATV Offroad Fury 2
- Suzuki TT Superbikes (if you're into bikes; it's [only] got the full Isle of Man TT course)
- SSX 3
- NBA/NFL Street (seasons don't matter; these never get old)
- Twisted Metal Black (especially fun with friends)
- Bully (fun storyline, GTA-like gameplay, set in a kids private school)

There are plenty of good racers for PS2 apart from streetracers. I'll mention four in my collection that I love.

WRC4 the official FIA rally game. Fantastic rally game.
F1 2006. Don't get hung up on the year. After all, rFactor people love backtracking to previous seasons. Great physics in this game, tweak suspension and downforce among many other settings and cut some more tenths out of your laptime. Competitive AI. Check out the fanmade youtube tribute.
F1 2005. Somewhat easy. But way fun and glossy graphics.
MotoGP 07. Absolutely awsome. Better than the 08 for the PS3 and the 07 for Xbox. Graphics is not everything for sure. 👍
