Finally gave these albums a proper listen and yes, they're great. I like how he varies the musical feel from track to track and uses the clavinet to provide a fingerpicking guitar sound for an acoustic feel on songs like "Big Brother". Innervisions is the Revolver to Key Of Life's Sgt. Pepper's for me as it's probably the most cohesive of the four.
For a band I've heard described as "acoustic grunge" or "psychedelic folk" this is pretty proggy. I'm-a go check out Your Perfect Real Life and their other two albums.
Improvement Movement's "Too Far" and "Better" from their sophomore and thankfully misnamed album Slump (2024). So far I'm finding it difficult, if not impossible, to dislike this band.
