Listenin' to some live stuff to start the day. I never really used to be a fan of just listening to live stuff, but I guess it grows on you. It's always neat to hear slight differences and charms in live versions compared to the studio versions.
Better than today's "rap" you say? Was listening to this today. Back in the early 90's a Toronto based duo called the Dream Warriors garnered a lot of airtime with some really inventive, entertaining and funny jazz rap. Solid music and lyrics and entertaining videos:
Bit of a funny story behind this bootleg. Apparently, it was released by Portishead themselves. Of course, the history is a bit shady... It's a bootleg after all. A damn fine one at that.
