Zappa fans may be in for a treat next month as a 'musical trailer' for Zappa's "200 Motels" appeared on Spotify on Friday....
A 6-disc 50th Anniversary edition of "200 Motels" is due to arrive mid December, weighing in at around £120 - which is just a tad too much for me, but I am hoping that the original/remastered album may be released on Spotify, which would be awesome.
I still have the movie somewhere on VHS, and have vague recollections of watching it after sneaking in from my friends house when I was a teenager after having some clandestine poker and drinking sessions. I never understood it or even liked the movie, but 'Magic Fingers' and 'Mystery Roach' were stand-out performances for me, and the album is much, much better than the movie IMHO.
