No, they recorded an album called "Something Else" featuring acoustic versions of old songs. Listen to the original and you can tell the acoustic vocal track is a lot more natural, less produced and her tone sounds more mature.

This is one of the many reasons I love this thread. I recognize this song, but I never would have been able to tell you who recorded it. The band name rings no bells for me whatsoever. Looking it up, I was surprised to learn it was written in my hometown of Seattle. Considering when it was released, I’m sure I probably heard the radio edit version on KJR, Seattle’s AM rock station at the time, or the full length version on KZOK, Seattle’s preeminent FM rock station. And yes, this is an amazing song.

I used to listen to KISW quite a bit as well. Now it’s almost exclusively KEXP (formerly KUOW, the radio station of the University of Washington.) I’m from Auburn, but am currently living in Renton.

I used to live in Victoria Hills (up the hill from downtown Renton). A lot of good memories from that funny little town (that isn't so little anymore). I spent a lot of time at Gene Coulon Beach when I was in high school (Lindbergh High School), and picked up my first skateboard shop sponsor at Gravity Sports (oldest skate shop in Washington), downtown by the old Denny's. Such good times.

Also, KEXP sure turned into a global phenom. They put out some of the best live studio performances out there. You haven't made it until you're on KEXP.

Anyway, not trying to hijack the thread, so...
