I usually just go search for the songs you post and most of the time enjoy what I hear. Then if I like what I hear I make an attempt to buy the CD. Some of the stuff is pretty obscure though. Where do you discover all these bands?
I listen to the local college radio station ( www.wvud.org ), and I have friends (like you) with whom I trade tips. I also used to listen to the best commercial radio station on the East Coast, 99.1 FM WHFS out of the Annapolis area, before CCC bought them.

Junior Brown - You're Wanted By The Police, And My Wife Thinks You're Dead. Yep - it's country! There is great country music if you know where to look.

L'Angelo Misterioso - My Sweet Lord ;)

Remastered version from 'All Things Must Pass 30th Anniversary.' What an absolutely awesome album.

Duke, 99.1 is my local station. It really does trash now; it's the popular punk stuff and that's about it.

The Traveling Wilburys - Handle With Care

This song will kiss you to death then when you aren't expecting it, it will rip out your intestines and strangle you with them. I think.

Why am I listening to so much George Harrison lately? It's maddening.

I miss the Daily Feed, and all the old jocks, and a decent, varied playlist... In honor of the old HFS:

Plastique Bertrand - Jet Boy, Jet Girl

The Smiths - The Charming Man

Morrissey has one of the best voices ever.
...and one of the worst personalities ever. You'd figure, with all the sensitive, sycophantic fans he has, somebody would haul his ashes for him so he could cheer up. In honor of Morrissey, one of the best songs ever recorded:

The Smiths - How Soon Is Now?

Ray Charles - One Mint Julep. The best stage band music ever written. Only Hawaii Five-O even comes close.

You need a sense of taste first. :) ...

Come now, what's wrong with a little opera from time to time? :) I do agree that Pagliacci has been done to death if that's what you meant.

Bill Frisel - Coffaro's Theme

btw...KosmikFool, is that your social #?? If so, that is very stupid to have it as your status.

No, its a certain someone's phone number. Jimmy and Doug probably are some of the only ones who know who.
