I'm gonna watch, "Forrest Gump"

That scene where Jenny dies makes me so sad everytime I see it. Wonderful movie.
 
I have yet to watch that movie.

Just watched Nunes vs Goyat on the Netflix boxing stream. Goyat was all over the Brazilian despite looking in worse shape and won easily.
 
In a few minutes, I'm gonna watch Zoolander. That's a real good funny movie for any family to see.
 
In a little bit, I'm gonna watch Inside Out. It's a Disney movie which Riley is one of the main characters of the story. I've only seen it 10 times. Haven't seen it's sequel yet though. Have you guys seen it?
 
Yes, I took my ten year old niece to see it and it's quite exciting. I haven't seen the original though.

Billy Zabka seemed like a nice guy at London Comic Con a few years back. He was a very popular guest (I think they were between season 2 and season 3 of Cobra Kai then).
Got him to sign my booklet from The Equaliser (my favourite show) (he played the son of Edward Woodward 's character).

In a little bit, I'm gonna watch 21 Jump Street

Ice Cube starred in this film, and he's a funny broad actor.
 
I'm fixing to watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I love the ballroom and dance scene where there was a party for the students and teachers at Hogwarts. Incredible teamwork and film. Deserves a 10/10 rating from me.
 
Who watches the Watchmen? Well, me at the moment. Necessarily rushed but better than the last adaptation I saw so far.

I'm glad that movie is off of my list now. Talk about odd (and not in a good way) and boring.

I'm not sure what Akira Kurosawa sees in it but apparently it's one of his favorite films. :odd:

We watched a month or so ago. The first two thirds were excellent, however the last third is just dull.

It’s like they didn’t really have a clue on how to end it.


Both actresses were brill and you could tell Denis Quaid was enjoying his role.

Also I’m not sure why everyone said it was gory and insane. I’ve seen worse in films and I’ve seen films which just get so under your skin they don’t leave you for quite some time.

Although certain scenes were tough to watch, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved how it depicted a beautiful message wrapped in grotesque, dark comedy. It truly portrayed the "monster" that the concept of aging can be for women, which really resonated with me.

I completely agree with you about the third act, it was an absolute mess. Demi Moore was amazing, and the special effects were quite impressive. Body horror isn't exactly easy to stomach though, I had to cleanse my mind with 30 minutes of Tom & Jerry right after.

Watching this movie alone at 3 a.m right before sleeping probably wasn’t the best idea.

Yeh, 100% agree about the message of the film.

Gore like this doesn’t really resonate with me much. I mean, I grew up watching Bad Taste and it’s ilk as a young kid so I’ve been a little desensitised.

I’m not a fan of gore though, especially when it’s clear the film is just about that and nothing else. If the film is worth it in spite of the gore then I’m in.

I’ve seen some film which don’t really show anything and I’ve been more disturbed by them.

I can recommend two…

Slasher movies like Terrifier come to mind. I’ve heard terrible things about it, especially with the release of the third one recently. I don’t think I’ll ever watch them for the same reason you mentioned, gore just for shock value without much of a plot.

Terrifier wasn't that bad. Gory, to be sure, but when it's so over the top, it's almost comedic.

Either that or I'm just so far gone and not redeemable. :lol:

Part 3 is a bit different in that it leverages much more of David Howard Thornton's slapstick/Keaton/Chaplin skills. So there's comedic bits that offset the tension created by the gore/disgust.
Art being truly excited to see Santa was absolutely hilarious, and Art giving the podcast girl exactly what she wanted was just cheffs kiss. And other bits like him doing the dishes.
And it has a plot this time around, tying 1 and 2 together and setting things up for part 4 (likely the final one if Damien Leone manages to fit it into one movie). DHT really cemented Art The Clown right up there with the great slashers.

It's been a long time since I've seen a horror movie that actually made me flinch. My son wanted to watch it and I went in with the traditional view of a Slasher (Freddy, Jigsaw, etc.), but hot damn' was I in for a surprise. Had to digest it for a bit, but I now feel it's probably one of the best slasher movies of all time, and definitely the best Christmas themed one.

And isn't horror supposed to be horrifying? Like Saw shook things up 20 years ago, Terrifier is shaking things up right now. And I just love the fact that this budget movie (2 million) raked in 85 million at the box office, more than that other clown movie. ;) People do want to be scared. :)

GenX grew up watching slasher movies on shared VHS tapes when they were 8-12 years old, we're just built differently. :lol:

Watched it years ago & only just found it free on prime so I binged it.

Brilliant series.

I want to watch banshee at some point as well.
