As predicted, I watched the Sunday stream of last year’s Goodwood Revival. I love the St. Mary’s Trophy. It’s usually a runaway for the big American cars, but this year rain made it much more competitive.

Last night I watched two PWHL games.

If you’re a hockey fan, this is good stuff.

I discovered Widow's Bay on Apple TV and I'm loving the whole John Carpenter's "The Fog" + Stephen King vibes.

I also started Margo's got Money Troubles and got hooked.

Watched the Chernobyl 5 part minisries for the first time. Brilliantly made. Utterly harrowing subject matter.
I love that series. I've seen it about five times through. Brilliant acting.
It‘s definitely one of the best (mini) series in recent years. The script and acting were so good it almost seemed like a documentary.

To me the most harrowing thing was probably how a combination of pure incompetence, negligence and sucking up to superiors led to the events in the first place.

One of my favorite things about this movie is that Superman doesn’t deadname Alan Tudyk’s character, neither the character nor the movie.
Seems like the monkeys are still out there typing...

Between this movie and Fantastic Four superhero blockbuster fans were eating good last summer. My only major regret about this movie is that it didn't have a unique subtitle to differentiate it from other Superman movies. My personal preference would've been for Beyond The Snyder-Verse.

I got a poo emoji for pointing out a character was treated with respect.

Yeah, like J.J. Abram’s Star Trek movie, they both could have used a subtitle to set them apart. For myself, I refer to them as “James Gunn’s Superman” and “Star Trek 2009” to avoid confusion.

Taking account the fact that the story featured an updated costume for the lead character and also gave screentime to his cohorts in the Justice Gang, my next suggestion was Superman: Baggy Pants & The Nitwits to evoke a superhero cartoon of the past.

In seriousness, however, I'm probably sticking with SM2025 right now even if it sounds like the (sadly less successful) racing game reboot FM2023.
