Mid '60's to mid '70's. Say 64 to 74. After that came the rest of the 70's and the 80's. And we all know what sorts of cars came crawling out of those two decades.
Seriously with the exception of very very few cars name me some 80's classics. And I don't want to hear Ferrari and Lamborgini ect. Those cars are exotics, very few were built and hardly anyone has the money to own and operate them.
I say the late 70's through the 80's will go down as the most forgetable decade and half for cars ever!
The 60's will probably be the most celebrated decade in car history. IMO
Edit:
Wow there are apparently far more 80's enthusiasts than I thought! How can this be??? The cars were so ugly and mechanically awkward in this era. Well I guess to be more specific at least the Amercian ones were. I don't see the Japanese stuff being much easier to work on and it's just as ugly! If not worse.
