What car are you saving up for?

What would saving up for an e30 318 or 325 make me seem younger?

I'm 17, and saving up for a 3-grand car, with extra maintenance, doesn't seem out there. I'm not saying I'm saving up for a Lotus here, now am I.

I guess I'm a bit attracted to 80's Euro cars. I had a thing for Saab 900s and Volvo 240 wagons a while ago as well.

No no no...I wasn't saying that you were aiming too high. After all, I'm 19 and I've been enjoying my self-purchased E30 for a year now. -- I was saying that if you were older, you would most likely have a larger savings account, and purchasing an E30, as cheap as they are, would be a matter of deciding to buy one, rather than saving up to do so.

Also, you should be able to find an E30 for less than 3-grand, especially if that's british pounds you're talking about. I bought my '85 318i for $1750USD, and there are plenty of BMW guys who would deem me insane for paying so much.

Oh, and 80's Euro cars are teh shiznit.

I realized what you meant by the age on my way home on the bus today.

The ones I've been looking at were around 2000$USD (however, I live in Canada).

Right now my savings account reads out 9.04$, and I'm not planning on working 'til the snow melts. Just bought a season's pass for a bunch of hills and I bought a new guitar. I guess I'm enjoying myself while I can.
