I completed the game many months ago, did some RedBull grinding to buy and tune the cars I wanted and collect paint chips, and then got bored. But I'm committed to winning gold every seasonal, which takes an hour or two each week.

Yeah, so you did grind. And the seasonal events thing is a cheap way to make money with not much effort. But then again, I guess that's what they're for.

I find this impossible to accept I have been on the Senna events for day after day and the second trial where gold is 43.140 is impossible it can not be done I have tried and tried and the best I can get is 43.540 to get less is not possible I have tried every trick apart from cheating which I believe is the only way it can be done and the car will not go around the trial any faster.
When you start the trial the mileage on the car clocks is 000000 I have played it constantly the other day it was reading 12580 and still half a second or more behind gold, And it zeros again if you exit and start again.
I know I am not the best driver in the world but when you have spent the hours on this trial as I have Gold should be achieved unless it is not possible. I firmly believe it is not possible and PS PD if you go online and check Sennas race times at different circuits it is difficult to find the times you list anywhere. mmmmmm I really am tempted to trade this game again as it is just not fun it is stupidly hard or impossible in some cases. PD never listen to what the players want and to be honest it is boring the pants of me when it is just not possible to do some of it with joke times and cars in trials which handle like boats no matter what you do with them.
 
You know I asked about what aids you drive with..........finished the game myself bout 3 months ago now. And plat trophy, far easier than 5.

I have every aid off on this trial steering in options is on 2. I have tried it with TC on 1 makes no difference to be honest. I just cannot get it around any faster I have got to a point where I can master the bends so well I don't brake on some and just a dab on the brake on others and still I cannot gold the event. When you have done the first two bends you get a time up I was on 17.1?? but now I have it on 16.4 to 16.7 and still I can't do it. The last bend I have down to a tee I don't brake on the bend leading up to the final one and dab the brake on the last one I don't seem to lose any speed yet that 43.140 when I cross the line is just a dream. I can't see how to go any quicker.
 
Senna karts? I'll have a look back at it. Wait for the 97T!
 
Saving up for the 250GT and the XJ13, going to have do a fair bit of grinding methinks :P

Not Karts I did that and golded it. it is the next race number 2 in the senna challenge I was struggling with.
It don't matter anymore I have got to the point where I just want to kick the console and the game down the street so I have give up and given the disc to my son to exchange for a game he wants.
it is for the best if it gets my goat like it is/was doing.

Ahh yes the little F3 car. I've got my record as 42.856 just looked. I can have a bash on it again and come back with tips if you like. No TC for starters. And get the wheel back out.

I got 43.129 in my first or second attempt and moved on. I haven't bothered trying to improve my lap time. The only challenging Senna event is the final one (Lotus at Brands Hatch). There, I got 1'06.701 after about 30 minutes of learning how to keep the car on the track.

Based on this forum, it seems most people complain that GT6 is too easy to complete and platinum compared to GT5 and other games. I don't know because I played very little GT5.

Your over-simplified comment about the X and square is nonsense. I use a wheel and pedals, and the technique is far more refined than you suggest.

As for age, there are plenty of people in their 60's and 70's who are much faster than I, and some of them use the DS3.
 
sitting on 30Mil Cr, with the anniversary edition. I have yet to purchase my first 20mil car, but I refuse to. I will wait for either a half price sale of sorts, Project Cars, or GT7 on the PS4, which ever comes first.

I am leaning toward the Ferrari P4 330 classic, I may eventually splurge on that.

I brought all the 20 million $ cars and did it the legit way as well. Mostly by grinding the red bull events. The XJ is a really good car, i think its well worth it.

I would never call anyone a liar if they say they have done it then they have done it. I just cannot see how it is possible when I drove the ass of it for days and still only got silver it is a game after all.
To do it in your first or second attempt is genius huge respect. Like I said in another post I think my game after updates is a bit strange as the drifting in the seasonal events I get gold points never hit anything but as soon as I cross the finish line it reads zero points? go figure. I was at a friends house last night did the drifting on his game and smashed gold time again and he was awarded with the points and gold. I swear as I did the senna one at his house and after about ten mins I did gold and the time showing after the second bend was 16.9--- I do 16 .5 at home sometimes and when I cross the line I have 44.245 sometimes it is crazy. I used a pad at home and the pad at his house. I do have a wheel and pedals but don't use it now. I never noticed any difference in time or driving ability when I used it to be honest.
As for the other Senna events I did try the third one a couple of times and fell off the track so went back to the second. The fourth one was still locked.

My comments on X and square is fact all pads are the same it is a game not a real car so anyone should be able to do it after practice. Especially when the same game player can do it on another system yet can't on his own. crazy like I said.

To the people who suggest gt6 is to easy, this brings me to suggest again PD should have difficulty levels at the beginning of the game everyone would be happy even the folk who do levels after 1 or 2 attempts they could play on very difficult level and leave us inferior game players on a lower level.
I will find out if gt7 has these difficulty levels or if you cannot do a level be able to move on without it being locked if these options are not available I won't be buying. The game could be so much better if it was addressing everyone's gaming ability.

And I find this impossible to believe. The Red Bull Standard event at Trial Mountain is my 'go to' grind for quick money. 240k credits in 3 minutes. I really don't see the problem. :odd:

A thought: Are you selecting racing softs? It allows you to.

I have soft yes. I get to 5th place and I just cannot overtake the other cars. I get level with the 4th car after out braking it in a bend then on the straight it just leaves me like I have 100bhp less and that's with me a cars length in front of it when we start going up the straight. I don't know why to be honest I don't care anymore I just can't do it, I cannot get better than 5th in any of the races. Most of them I finish last because I try to go around bends like the AI do and I slide off.
I jacked in doing that Red Bull challenge ages ago it is boring to me I am not to fussed about credits as it is pointless me buying expensive cars when I can't do the races in any car, even near 1000bhp Zonda.
The one I was trying to do is on the Senna Challenge but I cannot do it so I gave that up as a bad job too, wasn't much left on the game which appealed to me, I have deleted the game data and restarted twice and get to the S-class get bored give it up sell it then rebuy it and try again a few months later. Thanks for your advice though.

OK, try ABS1, TC1, active steering on mild & SRF on, then... Just give it a go, it's worth it! 👍

Since my last post in here, nothing's really changed. I'm still after the Mazda 787B, but before I can acquire that car, I'm going to tune or buy a car to get me through the latest seasonal held at Tokyo R246.
 
I've yet to purchase a Ford GT in Mark IV Red so that I can determine whether [or not] the paint chip provided by the Mark IV is a match for it. So the Ford Mark IV Race Car.

I don't think I received a chip when I bought the Mark IV, and the "Mark IV Red" chip from the Ford GT is a little darker and more metallic than the Mark IV race car.

Well I'll know for sure, as I don't currently possess a Mark IV Red paint chip and won't until I buy the Mark IV (or discover that it fails to provide one and I revert the save file and buy the GT of that color).

I'll go ahead and tag you then. My suspicion is that it'll be like the newest Mustangs (and a few others--McLaren, etc) and not offer a chip despite having a name for its color. But I will be sure to not have lost anything by backing up my save prior to purchase. Mind you I'm sitting at 6 million credits and refuse to repeat the Red Bull Standard Championship, so it could be a while. :lol:

I grind the first race on the Redbull Junior Championship for the 250 GTO and didn't took me 60 hours to get enough money to buy the car.
 
I've got the Ferrari 250 GTO and the 330 P4. I have enough for the Alpha Romeo TZ2. I'm thinking about buying it after watching some youtube videos, it has a cool engine sound.
