that is the 405 t16. it is kind of in the game. well not really but the 405 t16 and 205 t16 (evo 2) share pretty much everything except for the shell.

if i was to buy a 4 cyl, i would want it sounding like that 👍

Wasn't the 405 T16 more powerful? Also I think the chassis was different, it's a different sized car, wider and longer than the 205 t16 was so the chassis and sub frame wouldn't be the same, I don't know about everything else.

I´ve been trying to find specs and info about this car, but it seems scarce. What I do have found is that the engine used in 405 T16 GR that won Paris - Dakar in -88, was the same as the 205 T16 rallycar. Other than that the chassis are different from the 205, and pretty much everything on the 405 is different from the 205.
The Pikes Peak version of the 405 I have found just about nothing about, but it seems as it has another engine than the P-D one (not sure though).

Okay, so the 405 T16 was made right after Group B was shut down. Same difference.

Anyway, crazy cars, and even crazier drivers. The 405 T16 sounds insane, yes, but I'm more partial to the scream of a turbocharged inline-5, if only because it's unique.

(*Note: I'm using that term loosely 'cause I'm only 19 myself, and just happen to be "enlightened" to the existence of these marvelous cars. )
