What car or make is the most blatantly ignored thing in GT6/Franchise?

Hummer
Ford Crown Victoria
Maserati Quattroporte
Delorean DMC-12
Daimler motor wagon from GT4
Premium Supra
The game misses out on a lot of SUVs, but Crown Vic and Thunderbird are two iconic fords that are missing. Also, a non-rally Escort.

You mention Crown Vic, that reminds me. Chevy Caprice. Any generation really. Those 70's caprice's were classics. The 4th gen ones from the 90's were renowned as Police Cruisers. Shame neither of those are in.

Yes, GT6 has a SUV selection of barely nothing (like about 3 lol).

The first manufacturer that popped into my head for this was Bentley. They are in the game, but there has only ever been one car in their dealership, and their road cars have been completely ignored. I do like the Speed 8, but where is the Continental GT? At least their sole car is fully premium now.

I also feel Caterham are vastly under-represented, with that one Fireblade that isn't even modelled correctly - it takes about 14 years to rev the thing to the redline without substantial tuning. Imagine an R500 Superlight around the Nurburgring without HUD... :D

It would make a great addition to the already enjoyable selection of track day-esque cars in GT6 (KTM X-bow, LCC Rocket, Suzuki GSX-R/4).

Most blatently ignored thing in GT6 is truck racing.
Sorry, it's in German....

Truck racing isn't very popular on a global level though. The baja/trophy truck style of truck racing is more popular, and it's not even in DiRT anymore, and it was actually fun. I would think that from a game developer standpoint, there are many other styles of racing that would make it to GT before this style of truck racing would.

They want their simulator to be used in the automotive industry. And this simulator would be great for truck development.
Any idea of the importance of trucks in general?
More important/less important then baja/trophy pickup trucks???
And baja trucks are a very bad example. They are used in the "lower" part of California (Baja = lower, Alta = upper).
So not very global AT ALL.
As Global as the World Series Baseball (not very global either, pretty local even)

And let's not forget NASCAR. It's the number one type of racing in...???? That's right. North America.
(I know it isn't b.t.w.) but it is considered the most boring driving/racing "sport" over here. (turning only one way???)

So, yes, we need truck racing (The first part of this post is of course the more important bit. The negative points I made about baja/trophy trucks, NASCAR and the World Series are just for the sake of argument)

If I had to choose a single brand... I dont know... Aside from the obvious Porsche... maybe it would be Koenigsegg? Although they dont really have so much history or models.

Aside from that...

New Audis, New BMW's, New Mercedes, New Ferraris, New Volkswagens, New Peugeots, New Citroens, New Renaults, New (insert brand here)

This is the problem with recycling all the cars from GT4. There's a reasonable number of cars from the late '90s to early '00s, and then literally nothing until ~'08, and a smattering of cars from after then.

I don't think "ignored" is the best word to use because we don't really know what PD tries to accomplish behind the scenes with makes such as Porsche.

This is not a personal wish but I think Opel deserves way more presence. As for a specific model, Ferrari 355.

I think one way a car could be classed as ignored is if it is in quite a few other games, but not in gt. The mclaren p1 is an example of this (forza 5, NSF rivals, forza horizon 2, project cars, driveclub)

Agreed.

Yep. I just don't understand how such a large make can go unnoticed. It's a GM brand FFS!

arrghh...must resist urge to type in a wishlist of cars!
Yeah, I think some posts have already treaded into that territory. (I tried not to reply to them for that reason. =P )

Very good point. I've noticed that as well. It's like for about a decade no cars were made or something. :boggled:

With respect, and with the exception of the T-Bird, all of those cars are dreadful (cop version or not).

Kaz would disagree.

So your saying that since a brand has 12% of the cars doesn't mean it's favoured in anyway shape or form. Not to mention GT Academy is sponsored by Nissan/Nismo. Yup, completely unbiased.

I didn't say what I think but I agree with you. It's obvious that Kaz can't have too many Nissans though.

NOTE! THIS IS NOT A SUGGESTION THREAD.

....

I'm absolutely boggled as to why there is no Hyundai car in GT. I know it sounds silly, but Korean cars are seriously under represented. These aren't new companies. Sure they've only become popular recently, but it's just crazy to me.

...

Not that I'm especially happy with current selection of HYUNDAI models in GT (no street Accent, sonata, i10,i20,i30 ...;)) , but then how about next time you first take a 5 minutes or less and check dealership (under HYUNDAI brand) before spending 5 minutes posting how HYUNDAI is totally absent from game ? :banghead:

Well let's be fair this thread is aimed to stretch further than Hyundai, let's just forgive him eh? ;)

They are still iconic cars from their respective makes. There are plenty of crappy Suzukis or whatever other econoboxes that are in GT because they are iconic.
