Hummer
Ford Crown Victoria
Maserati Quattroporte
Delorean DMC-12
Daimler motor wagon from GT4
Premium Supra

There is allot that's not in GT that should be included in GT but they're not for some reason.
The DeLorean IS in GT6.

They are still iconic cars from their respective makes. There are plenty of crappy Suzukis or whatever other econoboxes that are in GT because they are iconic.

True, but it's a game created by a Japanese developer. Maybe if it was an American franchise we'd have every Impala from '58 to the present...

AMC. Why are there no AMCs in GT6?
Well to be fair they aren't usually included in other games. One exception is forza

I know, but why are they almost always left out? They had some really nice cars.

I would be a kid in a candy store.

De Tomaso, Vector, Jeep, GMC, Saturn, Buick, Lincoln, Mercury, Venturi, Matra, Ligier, Gumpert, Wiessman, Maybach, DKW, NSU, Heinkel, Datsun, Proton, Dacia, GAZ, Lada, Marussia, Ssangyong, Daewoo, Scania, Saab, Noble, Ascari, Austin, Sunbeam, Marcos, Ginetta, Jensen, Rolls Royce, Mosler, AMC, Rambler, Studebaker, Oldsmobile, Willys, Bristol, etc

More Ferrari race cars like the 333 SP and more cars from the P series would be pretty cool.

As far as blatantly ignored goes, RUF or Maserati would probably take top honors for that, one not having a new representative since GT3(?) and the other being a historic Italian racing marque whose only in-game representation is a milquetoast luxury car.

Of all you listed, the only manufacturer I would even be close to interested in is Datsun, maybe....maybe Nobel for a bit of a laugh.

On second thought, Rolls Royce could add some interesting additions. Fun cruising cars

And I agree on the RUFs. Talk about another waste if a license. If I were PD at this point, I'd tell Porsche to go 🤬 themselves, and I would milk that RUF license for all it's worth. Hell, I'd go after Techart and Gambella as well.

Maybe it's just me, but from both a gaming perspective and a driving perspective, I'd much rather have RUF, Techart, and Gambella cars available to me that just plain-jane Porsches.

They want their simulator to be used in the automotive industry. And this simulator would be great for truck development.
Any idea of the importance of trucks in general?
More important/less important then baja/trophy pickup trucks???
And baja trucks are a very bad example. They are used in the "lower" part of California (Baja = lower, Alta = upper).
So not very global AT ALL.
As Global as the World Series Baseball (not very global either, pretty local even)

And let's not forget NASCAR. It's the number one type of racing in...???? That's right. North America.
(I know it isn't b.t.w.) but it is considered the most boring driving/racing "sport" over here. (turning only one way???)

So, yes, we need truck racing (The first part of this post is of course the more important bit. The negative points I made about baja/trophy trucks, NASCAR and the World Series are just for the sake of argument)

The importance of trucks doesn't really reflect truck racing though. Yes, these trucks are used to haul stuff around the world, but that just doesn't have much of an impact when it comes to racing them. Baja trucks are not just used in California. Heard of Dakar? These trucks are raced on snow as well, so I don't think they are a bad example. They provide a very exciting style of racing!

Yes, NASCAR is the number one type of racing in North America, but I think you're acting a bit narrow minded on this one, because it's followed globally, even though it's not held outside of the US. I'm not vouching for NASCAR, I'm not a big fan of it, but I respect what the drivers do, and I can understand why it's in the game. Why aren't you making the same point for Super GT? All of it's races (except one) are in Japan, so on your basis, it shouldn't be there either? At the same time, yes, truck racing falls under the same sort of circumstances, but I just don't think the scope of it is big enough for GT.

Besides, this thread is about a CAR or MAKE that's ignored in GT.

It's a Japanese developer that sells these games worldwide. Europe is the number one market, and that market alone absolutely dwarfs what is sold in Japan.
Maserati, we only have 1 Maserati.
Of course it's the Maserati GranTurismo... *cough*

I'm about 100% sure the Hyundai Genesis is in the game

Anyways, this isn't a worthy thread because-
1. You have no idea what you're talking about...
2. There's already like 1936383 wishlists for GT6/GT7
I think he's talking about grocery Hyundais

What are these then? And let me ask you: Have you purchased GT6 yet?

And to answer your question. I think Saab has been forgotten by PD. Sure, it doesn't exist anymore, but there are a lot of worthy models in their lineup.

The only manufacturer youd be interested in erm hate to state the obvious here but Datsun = Nissan.

Also the guy mentions some truly under appreciated manufacturers, Marcos and Ginetta both have quite the racing heritage, Willy's built the original Jeep and Americar (Commonly seen these days as a hotrod), Austin created the Seven which is the first car ever built cheaply enough for a mass audience using conventional controls, They also gave us the original Mini not the bloated mess the Germans call a Mini, Saab used to be in what we would call the WRC using I believe the Saab 93, They also produced the 99turbo which is one of if not the first mass produced turbocharged car made, I could go on but I shall stop there.

No, it's not a wish list. If it was a wish list. I woulda thrown up a Callaway Sledgehammer Corvette on there. But that doesn't meet the requirement of something being "blatantly ignored". Hyundai fits because its a WHOLE CAR BRAND missing from the franchise. I'm just asking to see if anyone else has come across a similar situation where they tried to find a car that "should" be on the list, but isn't.

Well, what cars are even remotely sporty that Hyundai sell? Tiberon? Check. Genesis Coupe? Check. Hyundai don't do sports cars like other car brands, they just have one or two, and so far those two are the only real Hyundai sports cars to the extent of my knowledge.

But now that I think about it I wouldn't mind a few brands coming in:
1. Hennessey(Venom GT, GT-R 700, Camaro 500, etc.)
2. Saab (900 Turbo, etc.)
3. Obviously Porsche, but EA suck so that's probably not happening anytime soon.
4. Mitsuoka (Orochi, Ryoga, etc.)
5. MG( and I mean real MG, not those crappy Chinese wannabes)
6. Vector, we haven't had them since GT2.

The first manufacturer that popped into my head for this was Bentley. They are in the game, but there has only ever been one car in their dealership, and their road cars have been completely ignored. I do like the Speed 8, but where is the Continental GT? At least their sole car is fully premium now.

I also feel Caterham are vastly under-represented, with that one Fireblade that isn't even modelled correctly - it takes about 14 years to rev the thing to the redline without substantial tuning. Imagine an R500 Superlight around the Nurburgring without HUD... :D

It would make a great addition to the already enjoyable selection of track day-esque cars in GT6 (KTM X-bow, LCC Rocket, Suzuki GSX-R/4).
Yeah, where the hell are the Bentleys?

Pontiac Firebird! Ok ok, I know we finally got one from 1978 but I want the 3rd and 4th generation Firebirds/Trans Ams from 1982-2003 somehow represented in a GT game sooooooooooo bad. :(

What about SSangyong?

They are known to make some of the most beautiful cars in the world.

There is the classic Rodius,

the absolutely timeless Actyon,

and let's not to forget the magnificent Korando.

Well, seriously Polyphony, just give us Koenigseggs.

I don't want to sound like a mod, but this is just a wish list at this point.

If you feel that a car company doesn't have enough cars, go make a thread for those cars OR vote for their existing threads.

For instance, if I thought Lancia was under appreciated (which it is) then I would go and make a thread for the 037, Beta, Fulvia, etc. or if those cars already have threads, I would just go and like them.

Posting all these cars in this thread doesn't get us anywhere. This thread should really be locked, because the only discussion that can be had is basically wish-list discussion.

Most neglected? RUF, Ginetta, Lister, Bentley, Holden, Australian Ford, and Maserati come to my mind first

Honorable mentions: Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Dome

Given how quickly these wishlist threads are usually closed, I'm surprised it survived this long.

Lol, I corrected myself on the first page. And yes, it's a shame Saab has no representation. It's a dead brand, and it would be a shame to not have them in GT.
