I want to know, if you HAD to name your kids a car/truck, what would it be? I'll name my son Pescarolo and my daughter Pagani. :sly: I feel bad for them when they go to school with those names... So what would cars you name your kids?

Camaro. . . Because it is a good name for a stripper and anytime I would get mad at them, my wife would say stop b*tch*n at Camaro

how about Lincoln Ford Mercury? Nah, that was used in a lackluster movie. It would never work.

Porsche for a girl, and Beat for a boy...since thats what he'll be getting in school with a name like that.

I'd probably name a girl Elise or Lexus, although Lexus might sound a bit to stripperish. I like Elise though. I also could name her Mustang as long as her middle name was Sally.

Not sure what I'd name a boy, maybe WRX but say it Rex. I also know a guy named Blaze so I guess I could just add an R to that .

Well, my sister's name is Shelby...

---

Anyway, its an interesting question. There are a lot of car names that would work well as middle names, but not too many that work well for first names.

Elise actually sounds like a nice name. Perhaps Celica?

Guys names, no idea. Perhaps Ford, as in Ford Prefect from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Universe. Although he only took that name because he mistook cars for the dominate species.

Lots of women are actually called Elise, I believe it's a French or latin-oriented name.

Aston sounds pretty cool for a boy... or Malibu, but that has a male stripper ring to it. I think Guilia would be pretty interesting for a girl, too.

If you cut off the Mercedes part, Benz would be a decent boy's name. For girls names there are quite a few I think:Aspen,Dakota,Miranda,Reatta,LeSabre,Electra,Catalina,Corsica,Agila.
Ya, quite a few there.

Boy: CCXR
Girl: Gloria

Twin boys: Hachi Roku & Hachi Go
Twin girls: Silvia sisters

.........:p j/k

I wouldn't use any real car names I don't think.

No, no, no, if your going to make a quote of a quote then . . .

Ford picked up the a gear knob shaped like a 'Q' and hurled it into a distant privet bush where it hit a young rabbit. The rabbit hurtled off in terror and didn't stop till it was set upon and eaten by a fox which choked on one of its bones and died on the bank of a stream which subsequently washed it away.

During the following weeks Ford swallowed his pride and struck up a relationship with a girl who had been a personnel officer on Golgafrincham, and he was terribly upset when she suddenly passed away as a result of drinking water from a pool that had been polluted by the body of a dead fox. The only moral it is possible to draw from this story is that one should never throw a gear knob shaped like a 'Q' into a privet bush.

Camaro. . . Because it is a good name for a stripper

Interesting future you have planned for your kids there.

Sadly, in the UK, you cannot have numerals in your name. So my desire for a child called Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 will have to remain unfulfilled. Unless I call her Mercedes-Benz One Ninety E Two Point Five Dash Sixteen.

For a boy: Prairie Joy

For a girl: Bongo Friendee

Nothing like giving your kids a good start in life.

Why don't you name her after the Evolution Two version?

If its a girl then Vamos Hobio Travel Dog, if it's a boy then 530i M Sport.

Theres loads or real names in car and badge branding, from Austin, to Tasmin to Cedric and Cecil to Martin and Enzo.

I'd consider Vamos Hobio Travel Dog for a girl's middle name - never a first name!

But say, if I used Pantry Boy as the girls first name (which would have been my second choice) it would be

Pantry Boy Vamos Hobio Travel Dog Graham

And that's just silly.

For a son: Morgan or Carver
daughter: Ultima, although Shelby sound good too.

That reminds me a while back there was a girl on tv called Savanna-Mazda.
I think Miura for a girl, Diablo for a boy.:)

Porsche for my daughter.

Porsche is interesting because pronounced properly it's a homonym with Portia, which is well-established as a girl's name. It featured in (I believe) The Merchant of Venice by Shakespeare. In current(ish) use, Portia di Rossi was a major character in Ally McBeal. My parents' friends - he a builder of historic 911 rally cars, her a literary nut - named their dog Portia/Porsche on my suggestion.

Mercedes is a good girl's name. You could also go for Ariel (tell people you named her after the Little Mermaid rather than the little-bodywork though).

Boy's names are harder. You go for any D and then B (e.g. Douglas Brian, like my grandfather) to give you a DB. Ford is a fairly good one, as are Austin, Jenson (Jensen) and others. I think you'd have to go with Aston Martin though, with the child using Martin as their name.
