I was curious if any of you guys or gals own any Sports or Super cars from the GT series in real life. And if so how accurate are the physics and sound in comparison.

I definatly dont own a sports car lol. My pride and joy is my 91 Honda Accord Coupe. I have smoked my fair share of more recent hondas and toyotas though. :)

I own an Abarth Punto evo, which is the newer model of the Abarth Grande Punto, can't say I can particularly notice similarities in performance or sound. But then my car has a different engine from the Grande Punto I guess.

Not that a little car like the Abarth Punto is going to be worked on thoroughly like a sports or super car anyway.

No but I did see a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta on the way back from shopping earlier today

A very nice charcoal kind of very dark grey it was

There is a 2012 Masurati,2000 Dodge Viper and a I dont know what year Diablo parked in a 6 car garage across the bayou(stream, small river) from my job.

There was a guy who has a GT-R, can't remember if it was on here or somewhere else who said the GT5 version was pretty accurate.

To be fair though i think PD put more work into some cars than others and i'd imagine the GT-R would be probably the car most worked on by PD so i wouldn't think many others are as close to reality.

I drive a Mazda 3 SP 2.3 now but I have owned a few cooler cars. (yes I'm old)

1973 Nova (1st car)
1967 Cougar xr-7, exactly the one in the game but mine had a hood scoop added.
1965 Tempest with a GTO front clip.
1969 Rambler AMC
1978 Mustang II, .. yeah i know... :P
1977 280z
1982 280zx turbo, Blew it up kicking a Camaro's ars
1982 280zx na
1989 Firebird
1989 Town Car, hey! it had a Mustang 5.0 under the hood. It was a fun car.

Gone through 30 some cars already in my life. I blame Dukes of Hazard and Knight Rider!

I got a Z4 M coupe and in GT6 the car feels closer to the real life counterpart than the one in GT5. I also have an M3 2006 that unfortunately is only a standard model in GT series. As far as the handling I must say that GT6 did a good (given that it is a console game) job for both of my cars.

Well living in Los Angeles California I see quite a bit of them. I myself do not own anything exotic except the families 2009 Camry Hybrid and 2010 Buick Enclave. The person next door to me owns a Fisker Karama. I will get a picture as soon as he is back from trip with his younger kids. Guy next to him owns an Audi A7. Guy two streets away owns 2 Deloreans and then we have two Nissan GTR owners. And quite a few Ferrari and Lambo owners. If you all want pics just ask. Heading to church now I will surely be able to see something.

'04 Mercedes AMG S55
'78 Trans Am Gold SE (also a '74 and a 1980 Indy Pace Car)
we have the '00 Mercedes SLK too, but not a supercar, lol.

I own a MR2 Spyder hardtop with a 2ZZ-GE swap and a six speed transmission. It is nowhere near as squirrely as the MR-S is in GT6. It took me a ton of tuning to get the game MR-S to where it could be driven fast. I use a G27 wheel and inverted pedals in a cockpit.

1998 Honda Prelude. Affectionately referred as a sports compact. :P

My dad has the Nissan GT-R Concept Race Car and I'd say that it lost the accurate handling and speed since GT4.

I spotted and Enzo blowing a yellow light here in Austin the other day. He hit the down paddle and gunned it to make the light and it sent shivers down my spine. The sound was glorious! My light changed and I followed it for a couple miles. I was breaking early at every stop I was so scared to hit it. I kept running over that call to my insurance company in my mind telling them that I had just rear ended an ultra rare Ferrari.

Those were real cars, not aluminum and fiberglass toys of today.

So far apart from a784speed with his AMG and nik0s with his Z4M and M3 no one here has what can be classed as a sports or supercar! Regular hatchbacks and saloons certainly cannot be counted in there. And posting 'my neighbour or someone 2 blocks away has x,y and z' is just a waste of time!

I personally own a 13' BMW 335i tuned to around 360hp....but again, not really a sports car (do sport sedans count?). No....the sound in GT6 does not sound anything like the real life n55 in my car. I have driven a Ferrari 458 Italia and a Lamborghini Gallardo V10....and again, the sounds in GT6 sound nothing like the real life F1 inspired shrieks of those beasts. Regarding the real life physics....I did get a chance to "floor" both the Ferrari and Lamborghini on some wide open roads up to around 120mph....but didn't have a chance to push the handling characteristics if either car.

2 of these.
<---

I've had 4 in total. My current daily has no PAS, no central locking, and the heater's broken in the middle of winter . The other one isn't running but, only cost me £200 👍.

Old timers are the best. Not a big fan of newer cars.

VW Scirocco 2.0 GT TSi, Stage 1 Remapped to 265BHP and 330 lb/ft. Neuspeed Engine Mount Insert, Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit, Neuspeed P-Flo Engine Mount Insert and Stage 2 Intake pipe.

Next on the cards, Tarox Big Brake Kit, APR Full Exhaust System, K&W DCC Compatible Coilovers, APR Intercooler then Stage 2 and if I can ever get the spare cash, one nice Recaro. My front seats weigh about 50Kg each!

Very sound on Comfort Medium Tires. Understeers pretty much exactly the same speed as mine does on similar bends, wheel spins in correct gears in both wet and dry. Only thing I would say is the brakes just don't feel right. Can't put my finger on it but it's not normal!

One of my cousins has a Ferrari 430 and we did a track day at Lime Rock. It has wonderful balance braking hard and trail braking into corners, some mid corner power-on understeer and slight oversteer if you floor it too early on corner exit. The main thing I was impressed with is how solid the brake pedal is (very stiff and almost no movement), just responding to how much pressure you put on it. The steering is so good its like it responds to your thoughts of direction versus movement of the wheel. Bottom line, in the game it has more understeer and suspension feels stiffer than the real thing.

Backing up what @RampageRacing said, I have an '89 MR2 and have driven my dads '93 MR2 and both in-game are way to squirrely. I have given up on tuning the cars and just keep them for looks.
