My computer is so mediocre. It is an eMachines T1600 with an Athlon 1600+ processor, nVidia GeForce Ti4200 graphics card, Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card, and Envision 19" CRT monitor. I want to get a better computer like one of them from Falcon Northwest. That is a cool exotic computer brand

The Turtle Beach Santa Cruz is alright to me :)

I've got a new Dell XPS Gen-3 on the way right now, and I can't wait! P4 3.2 Ghz, 2 GB of RAM, 74 GB 10,000 RPM hard drive, 19'' Ultrasharp LCD, complete with Windows XP Media Center Edition. :D

Why don't you build your own, Jordan? It's not hard. I'm sure you can build one that is better than that Dell for less. Plus, you won't get Dell special offers on your computer

Alienware... I'm going to get it when I can afford it. It's going to be teh game computer. OR it can be the game centre of my house.

I don't think I'll ever go back to retail. I will always build (I wont even go with Alienware)

My computer with the cover open to see the useful 9-in-1 Card Reader floppy drive and USB 2.0 Port:

Then the printer i've had forever, still works good though.👍:

Well, I don't know, I've just never really taken a big interest in building my own computer. Every computer I've owned (except for one tiny Fujitsu laptop for traveling) has been a Dell, and they've all been great machines. I've also been impressed with their service and support. Even though you do pay extra for it, when you're not a uber-geek it is hard to put a value on it when you run into major problems. I just like the feeling of getting the new system out of the box and being able to have the confidence that everything will work great, without having to worry if I've got the right drivers for my chipset or anything. :p

HPs are great machines too Jordan.;) I don't see why no one likes HP.:( At least i'll be unique for owning one.:p

Wow, you've really got some money flowing in Jordan.

Is this thanks to the ads on GTPlanet? Nice choice by the way. 👍

Ha, I wish! The ads barely provide enough to pay for the site each month. :(

I also have a 4600 with a 2.66 P4 and 512 mb of ram, nvidia graphics card and 40gb hard drive.

My computer is a custom computer. It has a Intel 2.8 ghz extreme processor, slightly overclocked, 1gb ram. Microstar 875p Neo FIS2R motherboard. Nvidia AGP Graphics card, 5.1 digital dolby surround sound. Wireless Keyboard and Mouse. I have a DVD-RW, CD-ROM, and CD-RW Drive. I am getting a 21 in. display. I have two 80 GB Hard Drives, a 3 1/2 Floppy Drive, and XP Professional.

Fantastic machine, but I'd suggest buying an identical harddrive aftermarket, and run them in RAID 0. There are plenty of people on these forums who could advise you on how to do that. What is basically does is write half of the data to one drive, and half of it to the other, at the same time. So it's theoretically twice as fast, as long as the drives are on different controllers. Honestly, it's quite a bit more than twice as fast. I have a friend who installed Windows XP in about ten minutes. And he only had 7200 RPM drives. We had a race, installing Halo. He started thirty seconds after me, when I was at 24%. The program was installed before I reached 30%. Pretty serious stuff.

I'll post some kind of picture, some time.

I've got...

Athlon XP Thoroughbred 1600+ Overclocked to above 2800+ (2.1GHz, 175x12)
896MB RAM (350MHz)
Gigabyte 9600XT(OCed @ 560/330[660 effective])
EPoX Motherboard(Don't know the model, don't feel like looking for it)
20.4GB HD, which is my next upgrade
40x CD drive and 32x CDRW
Antec SLK3700AMB w/custom side panel
Onboard sound 6 channel sound
15" CRT hp monitor, which will be the upgrade after the HD

By the way, SS2, my mom and dad, and my brother have an hp. My sister also has a compaq, which is practically the same thing, all not bad machines.
