well...the mx-5 LS from the b-license definately helped get me started. with the money i saved from that and the money i won with it, i bought a mustang which was a great step up. then i used the mustang to win an endurance race where i won the ZZII. those three cars have carried me through a good portion of GT3.

i am now saving up for the skyline vtechII ($57k one) - i am at $34 k right now, and maxing out my miata now @ 194mph (no real tuning) and so yeah, should have it by tommora - i just keep playing the $5k test track over a few more times and it will be mine!!!

:odd:
Old thread.

Anyway, in my current save after my Trueno I decided to buy a Lotus elise 190, which was mainly stock for begginer, then sparsely kitted out for the GT world champion race series. Then I think I bought a Lancer Evo 4.

Now I am quite far into the game and I am using the same Elise as a rally car.

Z28 Camaro run up to full engine tune. Pretty good little car, combined with the RX7 i won shortly after (still had my Trueno for the 80's race) that i modded for the turbo race i pretty much ran the crap out of those two cars, sold the rx7, bought an SS camaro, hopped it up to full engine tune, and then ran it into the ground to buy a viper which promply went to the full 1100hp+. Grabbed a supra (which i still have) about the same time and went full blast on the engine tune with it too. After that i started getting seriouse about playing all of the game (i hadn't even completed begginner at this point, not even half way.).

I started with a PT Cruiser, no, I don't like PT Cruisers at all but their a good start off car. I then bought a Mustang Cobra R, and then after winning alot of the Begginers league and few Amuters I then saved up about 120,000cr. and bought a Skyline, fully modded and I won about 20 cars with that and race about 1,000 miles in it. Then, I just kept winning cars with my Skyline until I got golds on all of the Rally's and got an Escudo. which I won the SS Enduro with and got the C5R, Tickford, Cliosport and..... the F090/S, which I did a crap load of races with until I did the Seatlle Enduro and got the F687, and I now have over 50 cars and I only use my F687.

There, that's my life story, whats yours?? :D :D

I started a new game maybe a week or two ago. All golds on the licence to get taht miata maxed it out, ran some amateur na races bought a Z06 and have that pretty much maxed out except for the na tune ups. I used a couple great setups for my main cars, thats helped alot.

I started with an MX5 and won a few races until I bought an Evo VII GSR. That car took me further and won me a bunch of rallies. Eventually I won the Altezza LM, The GT One Road Car, and the Vertigo. I have bought a Zonda and fully tuned it and find it disappointing. Oh I almost forgot my RUF RGT. That thing won me a lot of money and cars, too, and I still use it in arcade mode all the time.

I aslo started with an MX-5 and then moved on to the "cheap" Lancer Evo VI RS. After sepnding about 100,000 in upgrades, I used it to kick butt and take names throughout Beginner and part of Amateur. It was really overkill at 400 hp or so but I'm a better driver now (I hope).

The car that really lifted my gt carreer, was a Skyline GTS.
it was the second car I bought i think.
I actually don't know if I still have the car at the moment, damn I'll be pissed on myself if I don't have it anymore....

The second card I bought after the MX-5 to start with was the cheapo Lancer, mainly because it was cheapo and had high performance.

I started with the AE86, because well, it just kicks ass. Then I bought a Civic Type-R, to win the Type-R meeting and FF challenges, as well as the turbo race.

I started with the Vitz, then jumped from car to car until I got the Zonda Race Car. Which I used for almost all of the Professional series when legal (except for Formula series).

i won the poly 002 (from mx5 enduro) with the mx5 which i won from my first car another mx5 so i didnt buy a second car for ages.

I've started two times on the GT3, both with the MX-5.
First time my second car was the Camaro SS, and the second time it was the Mustang. Not very wise choices, but very fun. ;)

funny enough, my first car this time round was a tureno...its okay for the sunday cup and stuff, but thats it....i won the turbo sports cup with it and bought a Lancer Evo5...i love that car..

i dont think there is much need to buy another car for ages. you can win good enough cars along the way. eg win the RX7 savana (from 80's cup) with the 89 MX5 then use the rx7 (with modes ) to enter the championship at the end of beginner use the save trick and get the R32. do i need to go on

Second car was a Viper GTS, then I won the Spoon S2000 race car and won the Beginner GT word cup.
