I think it’s about time for a thread like this instead of me polluting the general discussion thread with updates on what I did in the game each day, plus I think we have one for GT7, FM23 (which I also started…), and FH5 already so it seems appropriate.

Please refrain from just saying that the game sucks for one reason or another or that you’re never going to play it again. Criticism is welcome as long as it has something to do with what you did in the game that day.

I usually squeeze in as many hourly Stunt Parties as I can while getting ready for work. Wake up, stunt party, floss and brush teeth, stunt party, take shower, stunt party, eat, stunt party, then leave for work. I checked the Auction House for deals and saw a 288 GTO for only 2 million buyout and jumped on it, so now I’m up to 3 of those and the perk for 150k credits was still there even.

Got my weekly points in for the Abarth yesterday, before I left for the airport. Chose the metallic grey with red lower chin and carbon mirrors to kinda ape the 595 I used to have.

Sounds superb with the Race exhaust.

Did the same, mostly working on rivals and starting work on a livery for the Lambo Revuelto. Didn't get too far though because the weather's too muggy again to game.

Today I did some spec racing with the Mustang Dark Horse for the weekly playlist. I try to race clean and the ghosting system works well enough until the field spreads. I enjoy spec racing and should do it more often. I tried to get into a stunt party, but I was booted out during the matchmaking process, so I'll try later.

We did some spec racing the other night, honestly very surprised by how good it was. More variety would be good though, no reason why it can't be any random car in the game.

Specced the Emira that was sitting in my garage. Color's the new-for-2026 EOS Green* with the Full Black package, gloss black 10-spoke Lightweight wheels, and yellow brake calipers. Unfortunately we can't change the interior color, otherwise I'd have probably gone with the red Nappa leather.

*
EOS Green: Metallic Low Flake, 0.36R / 0.82R / 0.48L base, 0.32L / 0.64L / 0.74L highlight
Black for the roof and mirrors: gloss, 0.00L / 0.00L / 0.04L
Black for the wheels: gloss, 0.00L / 0.00L / 0.12R
Yellow for the brake calipers: semigloss, 0.15R / 1.00R / 1.00R

...or you can steal my spec with SC 156 190 816

I got to 40 pts to get the Lamborghini EVO by winning a Touge race on the second try with the Noble M500. I also did the space center Rush event, and I improved my time there. No Trial and no Stunt Party.

Uninstalled it. I really, REALLY wanted to like it but I can't get into a game where you're thrown million dollar hypercars before getting your first wristband ;( I miss Horizon 1 Progression

After spending about 20 minutes wandering around Hokubu, I gave up and spoiled the Treasure Chest location... only to realize that I've already passed through there!

I’m guessing you tried as hard to like the game as you tried to read what this thread is about and it’s not rage quitting because the in game rewards are somehow too good. If you expect the devs to give everyone crappy rewards then I don’t have the slightest clue what you were expecting.

But you can't use the million dollar hypercars to get your first wristband...
Indeed, IMO nothing feels earned though; ie. starter car(s) aren't stock, and you receive three of them modified. DLC cars are (still) just added to the garage rather than having to purchase them, barn finds off the bat are rare cars, rather than just some random 'niche' cars etc. Not my jam and mayo unfortunately

I mentioned what I was expecting - FH1-style progression; Devs seemed to insinuate you were a 'nobody' entering into Horizon Festival, much like the legacy times. Great, I thought. Seems clear as mud to me; All I said was I missed Horizon 1's sense of progression and I don't dig games that hand you everything on a silver platter from the get-go, so I uninstalled it, unsure how that's 'rage quitting' but you do you boo :D. If you enjoy it, great ! keep playin'

DLC cars don’t feel earned? You freaking paid actual money for them! Why did you buy them if you didn’t want them?! Why not just delete them from your garage? Anyhow, this is not the appropriate thread for your continued moaning considering nothing you said involved actually playing the game that day.

You really need to consider laying down some ground rules in the OP. There's always someone who considers unfounded criticism of the game to be participation in threads like these. I personally feel like I've earned every car I own one way or another.

Winning 2 road sprint races with an A-class car was unexpectedly tougher than expected. I couldn't do it on Pro so I lowered the difficulty to Expert and still I needed 3 races to do it. With that, I got to 20 pts and the Lancia 037.

I also checked my messages section and to my surprise I found two Lego-themed gift cars: the Viper ACR, and the Ferrari Pista.

I spend way too much time building and tuning cars: a Trailcat for The Trial, an MR2 for the C-class race, a GT4 style 4C for the A-class road race and a rally TT-RS on some nice Rotiforms. I'm trying to stick to cars that are somewhat plausible or have a real-life counterpart. Haven't done a single race :-P

The irony seems lost on you - with that logic, every car should already be in your garage from day one because you paid for the game, right? Why even have credits? or XP bonuses?! FOMO events!? Auction house?!?! ;) S o r r y for preferring a sense of progression/achievement in games a different way to somebody else ha ha

I finished the street race championship and earned another Gallardo spyder. I painted it in arancio and changed the rear wing, which IMO is too small. I also downloaded a new garage for the Tokyo House.

I’m running a (single player) 32 car S2 knockout on rivals. Chose 32 S2 cars from my garage, did a random draw and then cycling through the street races in rivals and each knockout is first to 2 wins.

No seeding so the shock of the first round saw the Furai beat the Alfa 2-1. The FXX also knocked out the Sesto in another surprise. F40C is the first car through to the QF, with the remaining R16 matches to be completed.

Does remind me how irritating the Rivals menu is though. How hard is it to add options to (i) run the same rivals in another car or (ii) choose a different rival to race, rather than having to return to the main menu instead?

This tends to affect circuit races more sprints to me but it'd be nice to have the auto update of opponents that Forza Motorsport introduced.

If I had to make a choice, though, I'd be even happier if they introduced delta times on sections so it'd be easier to identify those sections on which I'm fudging up. We already get something akin to these on the time attacks so to include splits on Rivals courses would be great. This'd also potentially be a great help to tuners who don't have access to PC client-side mods.

I'd also like to see the leaderboard position of the opponent I'm facing so I know how far up the ladder I've climbed.

On topic: I did a lot of C-class Road Rivals today.

More Rivals. I did as much C-class road as I could handle and moved onto A dirt.

Taming the Shelby Daytona I was griping about on Wednesday required more lift-off than the Irokawa Space Shuttle, but at least I managed to start anticipating the corners two turns or so in advance so I wouldn't have to virtually yank the handbrake out of its socket at every hairpin.

Thanks @SDSmurf for laying down some times against which to pace myself when learning the trails. Not looking forward to taking his MG Metro 6R4 on at Kinkaku-ji tomorrow. It's kinky.

I wanted a second Apollo IE but I didn’t want to have to buy it for 20 million, so I sold the one I had, kept the money, and waited to get another from a wheel spin before I bought another from the AH. It took about 5 days to get another and now I have 2. At first I didn’t want to buy any cars just to get wheel spins, but once I won a duplicate legendary car that wasn’t the Apollo I decided to buy as many of the Fursty’s as I had spare skill points to unlock the wheel spin perks, which was 6, and I got the Apollo from one of those 6 super wheel spins. I actually had pretty good luck with those 6 spins and I ended up making money from the cars I bought. I might do the same thing with the Koenigsegg One:1 to get 2 of those but I haven’t decided just yet.
