What did you do in FH6 today?

She lives in Sembawang.
My goodness! What an unexpected coincidence to find out someone here has a relation living in Singapore! Now I understand why you're well versed in our local slang.

Also coincidentally, I was looking to tune the Subaru 22B and was testing it on Legend Island Trail and decided to challenge your rival time! Managed to just beat it by a sliver! :)

It's now the 2nd fastest Subaru 22B time on this track but fastest on auto, the fastest time for this car is currently 1:55.030 on manual.

Found a "meta grip" tune for those tricky corners on C-class Street Racing River Descent Rivals.

I tried this tune, and could not get within nine seconds of you. In rivals circuit races, I stand a 50/50 chance of bettering your times. However, on these point-to-point rival races, you get a great launch, but once I’m up to speed, I keep pace with you. So it’s just my weak launches that do me in. You’re right, though. It’s a great tune.

Do you have Launch Control enabled?

I did the Raku Raku express job, and I even did 2 shifts, but it wasn't marked as finished (?). I also went to Ito to find out the treasure chest, of which I leave you a photo of its location and a hint:

It's south of the airport and near a railroad crossing.

I just double-checked my settings, and I do, but I feel like I’m doing something wrong. Unless I’m mistaken, for an automatic user like myself, all I need to do is hold full throttle at the start line, and launch control happens automatically, correct?

Don't you have to accelerate and pull the handbrake at the same time, and then release the handbrake?

In races, it auto applies LC for me using manual, no clutch.

That's the only thing I do.

I don't know why I got a 🤔 reaction for this comment. If I'm reading this right, you don't need the handbrake for race events (presumably including Rivals) and only need to use it in Freeroam.

That’s just me wondering what I’m doing differently that’s giving me slower starts. Your input is appreciated, believe me.

LC is on. I can do LC starts in free roam. I hold the throttle pinned at the start of rivals races. But everyone still leaps ahead of me.

Maybe it’s how I tune my transmission. I always tune it so the final drive touches the top right corner of the slider in the bottom right of the screen. Maybe I should start experimenting with full gear tuning.

I can't tune and use other people's setups but favour fast acceleration, low 0-60mph times and higher lateral g scores over overall top speed unless it's a really straight course.

Today's challenge is to beat a rival and I put on my serious racing gloves.
Thankfully none of the faster players have tried to beat me at my own game yet, so I now have the fastest A class Subaru 22B time on Legend Island Trail!

The tune (Auto): 855 659 366

Have you tried a different controller or if you're on pedals adjust the deadzone? Try testing if your throttle gets the full range of motion.

I'm no expert at tuning especially gearing, but I think auto definitely benefits from full gear tuning especially with an engine with a upwards torque curve near the end.

Unfortunately, I don’t have any extra controllers. It looks like it’s time for me to finally buckle down and figure out gearing.

If you're on Windows, you can type joy.cpl into the search bar to test your controller.

Nope. Sorry. Just an iPad. I appreciate the suggestions, though.

I guess the previous Subaru 22B leader caught wind of what I was doing and set a new time, so I had to at least make another effort to try and beat him again.

Which track is that?
Still Legend Island Trail, I assume.
Yup, still Legend Island Trail. I dropped down to stock suspension so I could lose the flood lights for a closer to stock look, but the turning is less consistent and feels less grippy, sometimes it turns great, sometimes it doesn't turn. Had to rely more on timing the braking to roll it.

Ayohhh!!, as you guys say. You destroyed his time.

Looks like that full racing line helps a lot. I use corners only because I was spending more time staring at the ground than appreciating the lovely scenery, but this is a wartime scenario lol.

This is not to take anything away from your superb timing, by the way. If only the leaderboards had filters for make and model so your no doubt by now aching hands from repeated attempts didn't have to scroll so much.

There you go again! You're a funny guy Mikey.

Full racing line helps when driving on unfamiliar tracks, also online racing since you can predict when others follow the line and take a different line for overtaking.

@ConstinOddity when I saw your name in the Rivals updates I was "sian" (reluctant) to race you.

But after a couple of laps I "die die" (determinedly) wanted to beat you, because that is unfortunately the nature of Rivals.

I forgot to use full racing line so it took more than a few attempts.

I did the Weekly Playlist, and filled out the mastery trees for the new cars.

Nice going! Sorry for 'notifying' you! I was testing the R8for the trial. I've also heard good things about the Ginetta, I should get around to driving it soon!
