On the GTP account, I did some preliminary testing on the WRS Week 10 time trial after buying 2 RCZ Gr.3 road cars and creating a WRS livery for the time-trial car (not as elaborate as
@Allibubba99's). I then did the (dry) Sarthe grind with the Gr.B Focus, and it is indeed faster than the Focus RS I had been using. On FM6, which is good for better than 4 laps, I had an assisted 4:25.0 lap, and figure a 4:27.0 unassisted lap is probable as that is what I was on track for on lap 4. On FM3, which is what I ran the last 3 laps at (after a full fuel), I turned a pair of unassisted 4:20.5 laps to close it out, and almost made Indianapolis on lap 7 before the clock ran out. In the RS, I would have needed to run FM4 on the second stint, and barely make it to the end of Mulsanne in 30 minutes.
The 1-star marathon roulette gave the usual low-cash 5,000 Cr. (I guess I should be happy it wasn't 2,000 Cr.). Even if I didn't burn 600,000 Cr. on the Peugeot, I wouldn't quite have had enough for the cheapest Hagerty's car I don't already own (the DB3S).
I'll work on the Plus account later.
@Marts - You're right; it could have been worse. I got a 10,000-Cr. 4-star yesterday.
@BloodRaven - You'll have plenty of time to save up for the 917; it only sold out 5 days ago, and it takes 6-7 weeks to work through the order in Hagerty's (assuming no "skips").
Edit - Later became now. I first went to Kyoto to redo the Japanese 4WD Challenge that I took 2nd in with the R32 earlier. As I changed the R32 to a 600PP monster, I sent the R34 to reclaim Godzilla's crown. I then went to High Speed Ring to do the 2 races I hadn't done previously. The Ford Mustang Gr.4 with
@Jump_Ace's tune did nicely in the GT Cup Gr.4 race, even though the competition used the high line as well. The Radical SR3 handled the Clubman Cup Plus despite being overpowered as the competition there didn't know about the high line. The 3-star marathon gave the usual low-cash 5,000 Cr.
I might have to give that tune a go at Sarthe. I almost feel dirty using overpowered cars there...almost.
Edit 2 - The Mustang Gr.4 is, at best, marginal at Sarthe, at least at stock power. I can't quite keep up with the Huracan for a 1-stop strategy, and it's too slow for a dry 2-stop one. I did, however, manage a 1st because the rain came in the middle of lap 2 and I was the first to pit at the end of the lap for IM tires. BTW, that was done on the GTP account, and I decided to get a third Huyara as long as I had the invite (1 to keep stock, 1 to tune with the standard body eventually, 1 to tune with the wide body eventually).
