On the Plus account, I took just under 26 miles of driving to sweat my way to gold in The Sun Also Rises drift mission. As I didn't quite have the marathon completed, I first tried the 2019 Red Bull at the Gone with the Wind drag race after fitting RS tires to it, and found it way too tail happy. Then I remembered I had the Mazda LM55 VGT (Gr.1), slapped some RS tires and nitrous to it (forgetting I had the medium turbo kit), and wiped the floor with the competition both there and The Sun Also Rises. I could have done without the nitrous had I remembered to fit the turbo kit (welp, wasted 100,000 Cr.). The 3-star marathon Wheel of Despair gave me the low-cash 10,000 Cr.

On the GTP account, with the jubilee declared successful, I decided to try the Autopolis CE. Nearly 200 miles later, and with the help of the electronic aids, I managed a gold. The 6-star roulette gave me the mid-cash 500,000-Cr. prize.

I did three runs of the Japanese Clubman Cup 550 at Autopolis in my Mazda RX-7 Spirit R - first two runs pretty much stock (lowered the ride height, but that was pretty much it) to test my speed and to see what effect a decent tuning set up would have. Both races I finished 2nd, with a lap record of around 2.18 in Race 2. I then tuned it using Praiano's tune modified back to roughly the same PP as I had before, and won the race comfortably with a lap record of 2.14. In total I've done 28 miles, and got a 6-star ticket for it

And, in some ways making up for the crushing disappointment of a Honda Civic engine from the Cafe 6-star ticket a couple of days ago, it gave me 1,000,000 Cr.

Not posted for a few days, not done too much. Dropped the power of the Suzuki Pike's Peak to just under 800 and took it around Sardegna. Won, but not by as big a margin as the CLK-LM or any of the other Gr.2 cars.

Tried the CLK-LM on FM6 to achieve 1 stop - pitted end lap 9 and had 0.8 laps remaining - no worries took it out on the last 6 laps on FM-1 and comfortable win - might be a bit quicker than a 2-stop race, but not much as pit stops here fairly quick.

Finished 2 of the Cafe extras, one to go - oh where is that last Mazda rotary engine???!!!

4 star ticket gave Cr 30,000. The one I had yesterday (4 star) gave me a carbon drive shaft for a Lambo - no value. Lucky or not? No idea.

Actually have a few followers on Scapes now..... about 4 I think. 🤣

Bought the Escudo. Took a lot of convincing myself to do it, as now that I have it I don't know what to use it in. But, I could see PD releasing the Pikes Peak layout and the Escudo not being available anymore.
Put RH tyres on, drop the ECU level to 75 (or 76, forgot) and that will get it to just under PP800. You can then enter the WTC800 races.

I spent the better part of the afternoon hunting forums trying to figure out an annoying bug. Road car callipers only go day glo yellow when changing the paint. Tried mucking about with different cars, resetting to original livery, changing calliper colour before and after changing paint colour but no dice. I currently have bright yellow brakes on a 964 and all I can think is EV.... help! 😳

Today, after weeks of trying and much screaming, I finally slayed my personal dragon. Just. Initially thought the red sod has got me on the line, then that beautiful “1st” popped up on screen and I may jumped around like a loon. Now I never have to do that evil race again.

Well today was eventful! I did some racing at the High Speed Ring. Came in 2nd in the 800pp event. Just need to work on my lines and shifting. Really makes me want a wheel and pedals... Hahahaha!!

Looked at my trophies and figured I'd work through a few. So I purchased a Tomahawk and got a couple with that. Then picked up a Tesla for another and a safety car for another. Oh and I ran a race with no assists to pick that one up too!

Overall, another pretty fun day!

I managed to get silver on the one hour Alsace mission. Almost had the win, but that damn samba bus overtook me on the last lap, it was unbelievable. I was so p'd off! Also did some online racing with the Alfa at Maggiore, I think, got some good results for a change. I actually really enjoyed those races.

Jumped on the second account and golded the Nord again. Basically only use that account for Sport races, but now I should have enough money to buy whatever Gr2/3/4 car I need for a while.

Was a lot easier than I remember it last time on the main account, but that was pre 1.1Whatever that updated the physics of the cars.

Literally spent all day tuning my Engine swapped RX-7.

Started with the stock car, got used to it, then put the engine in, and tried to get used to that. Too wild so I bought all tuning parts for suspension, diff, aero (engine is stock 787B).and one by one applied, tested, altered, applied, tested, altered on rinse-repeat.

Finally have a swap that I'm pleased with the handling for. I didn't want to just dump the lump in, extract as much power as possible, and run around with an unusably wild drive.

Running around 490HP on SH (wanted to do it on Sports) at 600PP.

It is a second slower than my 530BHP R34 around Watkins Glen (my new test track) which is really something as the R34 is on rails (4WD) with 40HP more and an easy Tokyo win for me without fail. I want to hone the RX a bit more to squeeze a little more power out at 600PP but favour handling over power - so happy to have developed some tuning knowledge/experience during 500 miles of testing. Going to take it to Tokyo tomorrow to see how she fairs and hopefully earn back the invested credits!

Can't wait to do it all again when deciding on which swap to work on next. Integrale Nismo, K20 EK/DC2 or the Porsche Bug?? Hmmmmm.

Spent a couple of hours working on my engine swapped Beetle. Have most of the reversable engine mods and hovering at 600PP. Starting to reign it but still some serious snap oversteer if not gentle coming off throttle. Trying to find a good balance that doesnt introduce too much understeer. All in all, the the engine exploit has rekindled my interest in the game.

Passed 4 of s license tests before work, just last 3 remaining.

Did a few laps of Watkins Glen's in praiano tuned 700pp 89 Chevy... what a track, and car.

Couple of manual visits to the cafe, before outsourcing the task..

Crazy man, actually driving in a driving game.
Don’t you know this is now engine pokemon?
Gotta collect them all.
Yeah, crazy how People act, once they’ve discovered this Exploit.
I don’t care nor have I tried or done it.
Engine Swaps. I don’t care about Engine swaps.
I‘m quite sure most People doing the Exploit don’t even bother doing the Engine Swap.
They just do it for the sake of it.
Pokémon Vibes without even knowing which Engine to throw into which Car and if so, not even being able to appreciate its new Behavioars 😂
They are just Gamers and don’t get the Point.
No offence to them.
Each to his own but to me this whole Exploit Thing is just ridiculous.
I NEVER did a single Grind nor any other Exploit or Glitch to get me Money.
I‘m quite sure most People don’t even bother driving their 20Million+ Babies around the Track.
They just want to HAVE them.
What a Joke. Ridiculous 😅

@PirovacBoy It's all about creating the ultimate race line up for endurance races. 19 engine swapped monsters to race against, gonna be epic  It's a long game, getting all the puzzle pieces in place.

I guess I should do a test first, does the AI use the engine swapped performance? :nervous: Otherwise, indeed not much point to getting all these engines and credits to tune cars.

What 800pp event?

I tend to do a bit of everything. Couple licence tests, couple races. Got the Rolling Stone drafting mission and the 'go as far as you can on hardly any fuel' mission.
Also got full gold on Dragons Trail circuit experience for a massive payout. No TCS and brake bias set to -1. Took about 5 attempts

Sven, I highly appreciate your Comments and Experiences so please tell me your honest opinion.
What do you think about Custom Racing in GT7.
Have you found some Settings which provide you a good Experience.
Have you tried my Settings and if so what do you think about them.
I honestly can’t understand how some People spit on GT7s' AI Performance.
I assure you that I’ve yet to find a Lobby or Online Race which provides me with such a clean and fair Racing Experience.
I‘m by far no Measure or Standard but the AI, once set up correctly, provides an incredible Challenge.
They drive so clean and fair that for me I can only say that no Multiplayer Online Race so far provided me with that sort of Competitive and Clean Racing.
What is your Experience?

So this afternoon, instead of a trip into culture and history to the museum, went to hot lapping Watkins Glen in my GT4 (I refuse to call them Gr.4, sue me lol) american race cars; the Camaro ZL1, the Mustang GT, the Charger Hellcat and my latest one the C7 Corvette. My Camaro is the one truly dialed in the way I want, with the 'Vette a very closely copy of it (must be a GM thing). They are both very stable, quick, and sharp on curves like on rails. The Charger I'm still struggling with it's 8-speed but handles surprisingly well; and the Mustang, true to it's name likes to kick out it's rear once in a while but it rewards you when you tame it.

They are so far I'd say evenly matched, and this was not a serious run, but a test one. I think the Mustang will get just a tiny little bit of adjustment and they will be done. After that, then I'll make another GT4 from the Shelby GT350R and then hopefully I'll be satisfied. Long term, I'll make another batch of GT4 race cars from euro cars.

Finally did the Glen Watkins CE, I really struggled with it I don't know why. Maybe the approach to some turns wasn't the best, and it isn't that difficult. Also did another WTC 800 in Sardegna for the usual grind, and did some gold missions in Rolling Stone.

I am also trying to tweak a Nissan Skyline GTR '02 to be a GR3 car, but I'm struggling with it. Being 4WD certainly doesn't help, the car really struggles to be usable in higher gears.

Quite a productive day on GT7

Quite the opposite, tbh they're a bunch of cheating a-holes. I like endurance races with lots of rain and the AI simply ignores the track getting wet, then slows down to a crawl, to then have much more grip than you on rain tires. Get out of the way or they simply drive you out of the way. It is the worst AI I have ever seen.

In the dry, in a road car vs GR.4 AI I did get some good races. They still do their silly slow down to let you win, or speed up at first to stay ahead of you until its time to get passed. Same thing.

They don't drive clean at all in my experience. Most of the time they simply drive like I don't exist. When they do notice me they like to speed up and cut me off. But they can follow / hang on your bumper without hitting you as long as you don't make any mistakes, as in as long as you stay on the driving line. That's their only mode of operation. If driving line is clear, speed ahead, otherwise follow behind.

I don't know what settings you use. I always used pro AI. Against GR.4 in a slower car was the best. GR.1 races were a farce with the hybrids making a mess of it. Against garage cars was just comedy, but they were spread out a lot in speed.

Also damage and penalties don't apply to the AI. Their pitting 'strategy' is non existent. Their tire choice always softs as if the tire wear multiplier doesn't apply to them.

I hope PD improves the AI a bit soon but not expecting it to happen. So my endurance races will just be about dodging the AI again. Maybe a couple half lap races with back markers since those seem to be the only ones interested in racing :/

Anyway, I haven't found the magic settings to get anything resembling a race. (I've only raced them extensively on N24, maybe they just suck at that track)

Gee, the Nordschleife, one of the most technical - and dangerous - courses in racing history? I'd consider something saner for custom races myself, like Deep Forest, Trial Mountain, Dragon Trail, Watkins Glen... something.

They are so far I'd say evenly matched
In my own GT5 Class homegrown "racing league" builds, I believe I didn't consider them close unless they were within half a second or so, and I hand tuned about 20 cars. You might try that, and don't be afraid to use some power restrictor like the real leagues do to match lap times.

I put these engines into the following cars:
-2JZ in a Nissan Silvia S15
-2JZ in a Toyota GR Yaris
-LS7-BRZ in a Nissan Silvia Q's
-K20C in a Mini Cooper
-K20C in a Honda Civic Type R 98
-K20C in a Honda Integra Type R 98
-3UZ in a Toyota Crown Athlete
-P65B44-Z4 in a BMW M3 E46
-BYH-R8 in a Toyota MR-2 GTS
-LT5 in a Chevrolet Corvette C3
-Hellcat-Charger in a Dodge Challenger 70
-Coyote-5.0 in a Ford Mustang Mach 1
-13B-REW in a Mazda MX-5 NA
-VR38DETT in a Lancia Delta Integrale
-M64/03-911 in a VW Beetle

I drove the Silvia Q's, the Mini, the Crown, the M3 E46, the Toyota MR-2, the C3 Corvette, the Challenger and the Delta Integrale. I kept all the engines as standard, except for the Delta Integrale which I fully tuned to 946HP. I put the best brakes on it but I still struggled to stop when I took it to Monza.
