What did you do in GT7 today?

I tried to build an Autobianchi to match the car in Race A.

It can't be done. The only way to get the HP to 197 is to add a turbo, but the Race A versions are N/A. Also, the PP value is for the stock car, so I don't know what I am shooting for outside of weight and power.

It bugs me that we keep seeing hints at a "race car" conversion, but we (players) don't have full access to it.
 
I'm trying to figure a strategy for the World Touring 700 race at the Dragon Tail (reverse). It will probably be crush them within four laps, gas be damned, refuel (no tire change) and do it again for the last four laps, because fuel saving didn't work the first time, as the leaders never stopped.

What car are you using? I think I used the Mazda 787B

ye, it's all about the car.. I used detuned XJ13 Jaguar... @Nacho Libre find some Le Mans car and detune it

Thank you all for your suggestions. As I theorized, I had to catch the leaders within a reasonable number of laps, fuel be damned, so I used one of my rally cars, the Ford Focus Gr.B with hard racing tires. I did pit right after the leader on the 6th lap and exited in 3rd place, so it was just a matter of catching the 2nd place and wait for the new leader to pit, upon which I coasted to a comfortable win with a 16 second margin. I used fuel map 2 throughout.

So, I got 115,000 credits (If I had been more patient I could have got the clean race bonus), I covered the daily mileage for a 4-star roulette ticket, which got me a crummy 10,000 cr, and the 6-star roulette prize ticket which earned me the Porsche 918 Spyder (!) which raised my collector level to 33 (!!).

Smashed my head against the one and only S-10 trying to get gold today, for over 200 miles, and I only cut my record time by 1/10th of a second. Which is still 1.5 seconds over gold time. I might have to turn ghosts off just so I can concentrate on smoothly executing corners and learning when to coast. I still haven't figured out how to get through Eau Rouge/Radillion without coasting through most of it. I've been using TCS 5, maybe I can bump it down to 4 for some extra corner speed.

Does it help to learn manual transmission for this one? I'm using AT.

It is kind of a process but yes, I would definitely say that you will get faster with manual transmission. Try starting with a slow and old car with 4 gears on a ”easy” track with relatively few gear changes. After a while it will feel natural to shift gears by yourself, and you will get faster eventually.

And try to lower TCS to 2 (or lower) if you can, that will also help!

I'll lower TCS at least. Gonna watch the throttle...
 
Update: I got gold in S-10 after less than 29 miles! Turns out lowering TCS was the key after all, along with plenty of practice. Yesterday and today I also got 5-star roulette tickets, which was probably sheer luck but I imagine the game saw me doing S-10 and decided to take pity.

I also won the WTC 700 at Dragon Trail Gardens in the Audi Sporty Quattro group B car. Even as I misjudged the weather and ended up doing the last couple laps on destroyed rain tires, I still won on account of only taking one pitstop.
 
I'm getting good at WTC 700 races; I won the Red Bull Ring with my XJ220 with racing parts, detuned to 95% to get under the 700-pp limit and used fuel map 4 because it's a fuel hog. With that I only do a 1-stop at the end of the 5th lap. The rain that fell afterward wasn't strong enough to make me change to wet tires, so I endured in my hard compound.

I also got my first gold track experience at Moon Bay.

the engine swap for the xj220 turns it into a rocket and more fuel efficient

I made a new Super GT livery since I haven‘t done them in a while. Super GT cars were actually some of the first designs I did when I started making replica liveries in GT7 three years ago and they are some of my favorite race cars IRL.

You can either visit my profile here or find me via the overview at the game‘s showcase. It‘s easier than searching for my cars via the livery editor since I use different tags for different cars (e.g. for the Supra posted above I used the tags greenbrave, gt300 & saitama).

I won the Le Mans WTC 800 with the Beetle Gr.3, fuel map at 4 to get me three laps at a good pace and refuel just for 2 (finished with 0.5 laps of fuel to spare). I will try WTC 700 for a bigger payout with a detuned Suzuki VGT.
 
Finished the weekly off, still playing most days just been grinding credits for spec3 update. I bought the ford mark IV race car for 6 million and I’m back upto 10 million. Ive done the WTC 800 event a lot 🙈

I did the WTC 700 at Le Mans (30-minute race) with my detuned Suzuki Vision GT, fuel map at 5 and I won with two-stops. I earned the full money purse with clean race bonus (825,000 cr. I think) and covered the daily marathon mileage by twice the distance.

Then the earned 6-star roulette ticket won me the AM Vulcan :eek: which raised my colector level to 35 and opened new extra menus, so with the new money I went on a shopping spree: All the Dodge Vipers to complete that menu, the new Nissan Z, and the new Alpine, which again rose my collector level, now at 36.
 
I got to bop gr3 races, those are going to be difficult... I one first one (5 laps Suzuka) which is kinda easy with Final Evo Gr3 from my Manufacturer races and than went to Daytona Oval and just rage quited for today after few attempts
