I was in doubt whether to grind some races to make 3.6 million for the FXX Ferrari. I have an invitation to buying the car that ends tomorrow.

But I don't think it's worth it. I would be somewhat broke afterwards.

I have seen the Pagani Zonda R. It's half the cost. And almost as good.

I dunno. But I did some offroad racing to get some more credits. It does seem like the game forces you to spend them well, sort of speak. Like I can really experience a lack of credits lol.

I've seen that it's possible to buy them. But that's something I'm probably never going to do.

I am actually waiting for a Sierra Cosworth to make an appearance. I have the Escort one. Didn't know the Sierra was in GT7 as well.

For the daily mileage I unlocked and finished the Hypercar parade menu, which I dominated with the AM Vulcan/Porsche 918 (stage 3 weight reduction and other modifications).

These races are odd because they include cars that are decidedly NOT hypercars, like the Mercedes SLS, the McLaren 650S, the Lexus LFA, the Lamborghini Murcielago and others.

Anyways, crummy 3-star ticket and even crummier 5,000 cr. award. I also completed the inline-6 BMW menu, and again, these would be better done by racing instead of just purchasing the cars.
 
I did 10 laps gr1 race on suzuka to finish weekly challenges.. with RB because I'm lazy.. than I saw only Suzuka race I have to finish is 10 laps 800pp so I did that too with 962C because I'm lazy.. Got Bugatti Chiron from weekly roulette spin
 
I'm currently doing what I just enjoy most - driving all kind of different cars around Nordschleife.

Today I was looking at cars I haven't driven for quite some time and I found the Mustang Boss 429, so I took it to the track. Stock, except for body modifications, wheels and silencer. I couldn't remember the last time I drove it and tbh I didn't expect much....and then the car blew me away! So nice to drive and such a powerful engine! I had a really good time out there!

But one thing baffles me. They build this great car, put a incredible powerful 7 liter engine in it (as mentioned in the description of the car the engine may even put out quite a bit more power than rated) and then limit the top speed on the transmission to less than 200kmh/124mph. Why? Why no fifth gear? Or at least different ratios for a top speed around 240/150? There's easily enough power for this.

It's not just this car, other muscle cars from this era also have a rather low top speed while having sufficient power. But for some I understand it - when it feels more like a boat than a car you probably won't go above 200/124. But the Boss isn't like that. The suspension is good!

Anyway, as I said, it was a very enjoyable lap. Because of the car and also because I got really lucky with the weather. It somehow doesn't look that good on the screenshot but in game it was beautiful!

As someone decently versed in American Automotive history, the reason for such low gears is because muscle cars were generally rated on their performance in a 1/4 mile heads up drag race. Top speeds as such were not a big priority, nor was handling, as all most muscle car buyers cared about was outrunning their buddy to the next stop sign. As such when looked through that lens, it makes sense why most American cars even in their glory days typically couldn't hold a candle on a road course to the best from Europe, as the priority was 1. light weight, and 2. the biggest engine they could stuff underneath, with stuff like "stopping" and "cornering" being relegated to an afterthought, since the target demographic couldn't care less.

I continued to play through offline races.. managed to get to 61% .. I finished Ferrari races today using 330 P4 for all of them (easy wins), and I finished Clubman Club Plus... Ik I'm late to the party, this races are not that easy, or maybe my car choices were not great.. First time I used AT on 2 races ever because my button configuration is not good for nitro and I needed it for Glen and Goodwood races, I finished them with Civiv Touring Car with Nos and obviously Mini with Nos, Fuji I used 330 p4 on RH again and Tokyo is easy win with TVR on SH.. For Route X I used Bugatti Chiron with power restrictor.
 
Finished the weekly, got a corvette VGT from 6 star ticket , sold it, own all brand central and used cars. I also bought the Mercedes GTR LM, I just had to what a machine. Still have 6 million for spec 3 update and time to earn more.

Checked my rating in the GTWS manus cup, doing well so far, but I cant seem to the Uk listngs on the offical GT website rankings page? It only shows US, Canada and New Mexico??? Is there a Uk dedicated site?

I did my daily marathon mileage, for the customary crummy 3-star ticket and 10,000 cr. But I also did the third weekly event that brought 200,000 cr. plus the earnings of that race. I then completed the NSX menu book and raised my collector's level to 37.

did the same yesterday and today ,yesterday got a 6 star ticket which is very rare for daily and got 1 mil credit. Today was back to 3 star ticket and useless price :D
 
I'm in GT2 manufacturer cup with Mitsubishi and did good race at Interlagos with gr 4 lancer finished 6th.. I wasn't going to play more but than I hopped back into Lancer just gr 3 this time and on my surprise manage to win bop chilli races on Suzuka, Spa and also Deep Forest with it.. Spa and Forest were easy, Spa especially because AI is very slow on La Rouge and one other corner I don't know name.. Than I hopped into 5 chilli race on Daytona Tri Oval which I tried before and was very frustrating, Lancer is really stable and teached me how I don't get spinned out by AI but just didn't have enough speed to overtake Viper even with draft.. I finished 2nd so I took Viper and used all I learned on 1st race and managed to block all AI and win the race.. As Italian car fan, I need to say that Lancer is really my favorite car in game (not for driving reasons) .. I hope to finish Manufacturer cup with it and I'll "retire" than from Sport mode because it's little bit too much for me with no time and ds4.. Got 10.000 Crs from roulette too 😅

And suddenly I could remember why I didn't touch this thing for ages😄 What a strange car! It's somehow funny, two days ago I drove the Mustang Boss 429 and remarked that it drives surprisingly well for a US car from this era. And now here's this Italian sports car, that feels exactly like the cliche version of a 60s/70s muscle car. Powerful V8, a awfully soft suspension, bad brakes, imprecise steering and so on. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, it is as it is and it was still a fun lap! The whole front of the car coming up every time you floor it is hilarious😂


Later I set a new personal record of credits spent on a single day by buying those two cars which I still didn't have:

I did few laps on that new sports TT, got to 50 kms and got Audi TT gr4 from 4 star ticket. After 2 and half months of playing I'm really enjoying GT7 but even tho I'm not doing bad, I decided to stop playing Sport mode and just do races from Events Directory and collect cars since I enjoy that more and it's relaxing for me..
 
Well, after a very frustrating morning, the only thing I finished was the daily mileage and... the offensive (at this point) 10,000 cr. prize. Oh, and I rage sold the Mazda LM55 VGT.
 
I'm hoping to make some time to do some qualifying for Daily Race A, it looks like a lot of fun! It also seems that the Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) Nismo is a popular pick for this one, so I'll likely qualify using that one. Of course, there's also that fourth round of the GTWS Manufacturers Cup Exhibition Series this Saturday, too, featuring Gr.3 @ Red Bull Ring. They say it could be a very wet round, too!
