The Power Pack events really appeal. Love the Practice/Qualify/Race dynamic and the grid start.

Today saw a close-fought victory at Big Willow. Squeaked into pole position in Quali, lost the lead on lap 1, then lost 2nd place on the same lap. Later on came back to 2nd then to lead. Lost the lead again, and again regained it, finishing lap 5 with less then 2 seconds to spare. 😮‍💨

This was a fun experience from Practice to completion.

My strength is in handling the long sweeper and getting a great exit onto the final straight. That's my happy place on Big Willow and has been for years. The rest of the track I vary from "ordinary" to "a mess". And to be clear, I chose the easiest setting for these PP events.

A few days back, I set a ten+ minute lap time at the CGV Time Trial in the Mercedes and am ranking 103,902nd place out of 103,904. It's my way of getting an idea of how many people participate in TTs, without scrolling for hours through the results. I hope to make it to Bronze in the next 9 days. I take my hat off to the guy in last place who had the patience to set a 20+ minute lap time.

They probably drove as normal and made a cup of tea just before the finish line!

I got a clean race bonus and 3rd place in Deep Forest GR3 driving the Jaguar F-Type. I really like this course and I'm getting better with the Jag - any car suggestions to get the win?

Not sure if this counts but I bought a Playseat Challenge X!

-Drove the '11 Audi R18, Ferrari 296 GT3, Mercedes AMG GT3 and Porsche 917K around Daytona Road Course.
-Drove the SF23 around Catalunya
-Drove the '18 Aston Martin Vantage around Fuji

I did a couple of Power Pack races - good fun, esp. with the slower cars... though I can usually trounce the opposition in Qualifying, the race is often a different story with the slower cars; the AI tends to get a good start and it's not unusual to find myself in P3/P4 by Turn 1.

I also did a GT Sport mode Time Trial (Daytona, Gr.1) and got comfortably into Silver territory without too much effort, but Gold is a long way off. Still, 1M Cr. in a couple of days' time will be nice, and take me to my target (and highest ever Cr. total) of 33M, enough to buy the 20M Alfa Tourer and have enough left over for the Barker Tourer should it come up at the same time as well.

gr.3 race at the ring endurance using 800 pp tire and fuel rate
I had done similar running the WTC800 endurance 3 lap at the Nurburgring to test my patience to get a CRB.
Also I love that the detail on the graphics on the PS5 is so good that you can almost smell the cooking sausages from the spectators in the camps at trackside...

My newest purchase is the Mercedes W 196 R '55

Today I took on its first two drives, both at Le Sarthe in the WTC700. First stock, then with a turbo.

A nice VR experience, victorious both times, though not by much

Trying my hardest to catch the last car in the The Sun Also Rises 'The Pass' challenge. I always get stuck behind the yellow Mustang on the crest!

mine will be only a 2 lap race with the roulette races i get pulled each week some races are more laps, some less, some are the same.

Last night was league race night. After getting rid of the braking zone on my alt account which I only recently started, decided to get rid of it on my main account.

Managed better than I thought, whilst being a bit more careful when behind someone under braking.

Finished 5th which I was happy with, and also a very quick lap during practice before qualifying.

On my alt account today.

Circuit Experiences on Watkins Glen, CDV, Road Atlanta, Brands Hatch and Goodwood all with gold, and all pretty quikly.

Also breezed through the IB licence.

Made Pratt Miller‘s cars from last weekend‘s Daytona 24h. I really hope we‘ll eventually get the Z06 GT3.R from PD!

I cleared the remaining weekly races, the Sunday Cup and the Gr.1 at Saint Croix, where I came in second in the McLaren VGT in spite of mishaps and the AI being an ass, and for the life of me I can't figure the last section of that Le Mans wannabe track.

From the 6-star car roulette ticket I got the BVLGARI VGT, and that was enough to reach collector level 63.

I guessed that the Amuse S2000 might be a contender for the Le Sarthe WTC700 with a supply of RH and IM tyres.

I enjoyed driving it, however, it guzzled fuel and even at FM 6, required some short shifting and care to make 3 laps

On the final stint of 2 laps at FM=2, I ran out of fuel trying to chase down the 3 cars ahead of me, 8 seconds behind the leader.

I did notice that it's amazingly frugal on the RH tyres, I suspect they could do 7 laps easily, though I didn't try. I should have.

Maybe on a wet track, it'll get long life out of IM's. That's worth a try.

Here's a shot early in the race where I'm leaving two others behind...

Topped up the coffers at Le Sarthe WTC700.

Now that I have 20,004,303 in the bank, I'm thinking "do I spend 20 million on the W196R '55 or wait and see if a more attractive option comes into the rotation 🤔"

For now, the FOMO is not at desperation point

-Drove the SF23 around Monza and Suzuka
-Drove the Lamborghini Huracan around Sardegna A

A little "farewell" to one of my favorite Gr.3 cars with a WTC800 win at La Sarthe. I hope the new Porsche is as good or better in physics!
24 Heures du Mans race track_.webp

put the new engine into the Tuscan speed had a few of them laying around will be my now go to euro races and one of the backups for 700 pp

I did the Elantra N at Nordschleife time trial. I got bronze and I'm nowhere near a silver time, but I'll see later how much time I can shave.

And I purchased all the update cars, thus completing the seasonal menu.

I made another little rally car for my project, this time a Mazda Demio. It didn't quite reach the 300 bhp of the other cars, but to keep it competitive I let it be a little lighter instead.

Got six custom rally cars now, next up is the Suzuki Swift.

What did I do in GT7 today?

Logged in.
Claimed the prizes from the Viewers Campaign.
Cleared all of the notification icons for "new" things in the update.
Bought a Panda and a Dino in colors I didn't have yet.
Logged out.

Most I've played the game in a month, I think.

It took 2 tries, but I built a ZR-1 Corvette (C6) that beat the SU7 at Nordschleife by 6 seconds.

And I sold the SU7 at a considerable loss, but whatever. Who needs a 1,600 hp, 2-ton condo on wheels?

Bought the new cars

The SU7 on the 'Ring was a severe disappointment (and I like EVs)

The new Porsche is a well-mannered delight in the Le Sarthe WTC700. Just so nicely behaved and predictable, especially for a Porsche.

(Back in the day my 993 gave me a nasty 360 degree surprise at Calder Park Raceway on a slightly wet day which has forever sensitized me)

today was kind of a weird day... I've been really lazy and havent played all week

got the update and bought all three cars and then used the new Porsche to knock out the Sunday Cup race - but here's where it gets weird

daily marathon 3 star ticket - AMG A45 wagon
Ticket from the Hyundai menu - Honda NSX ( 17 )
Ticket from the Seasonal Menu - Polestar
Ticket from the Weekly Challenge car ticket - Citroen GT road car

and then of course getting the two bonus cars from the World Series was pretty nice as well.
