Blew just over 3 million...

  • 180SX
  • R5 Turbo
  • Civic EK 97
  • Impreza VI '99
  • DB5
  • Fairlady Z '69
  • Alfa 155
  • Huayra (the only invitation I think I'll accept from the 'giveaway' from the last patch)

Car collection at 26% now, coming along nicely.

3x Sport Mode Race As, after picking a nice, subtle livery (nobody wants to see a rental!)

Acquired my second Diablo GT and turned it into a great race machine for the WTC700 events. Found a good Nomad livery from its time in the JGTC, fiddled with some things, and sent it to Le Mans.

Used fuel map 6 for the first four laps, then used a midway mix (3-4) for the final two laps, but only because a sudden rainstorm forced me to switch to inters for lap six. Switched back to slicks for the final lap so I wouldn’t burn out the inters and lose speed and grip. Won the race despite those two straight stops.

Got Cr. 100k on a ONE STAR ticket!!!
Put another Scapes picture up - either nobody looks or they're really bad, still no likes, comments, repost, lost all "followers" and those following from GTS, back to square one, but it doesn't really seem to be kicking off on the website.
Great fun taking the GTR Nismo out again - really is a car and a half!

Yesterday;

Cars bought:
  • Toyota Supra GT500 ‘97
  • Aston Martin DB5 ‘64
  • Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI ‘93
  • Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 ‘65
Events raced:

  • Le Mans 30 minutes with the Toyota Supra GT500. Finished first with almost a 2 minute lead on Portilla. The Supra is really nice to drive! I you have the credits I really recommend you buying this car. I forgot to save the replay so i don't have any pictures. Wil probably do this event today to take some pictures.

  • WTC 700 (Trial Mountain, Catalunya and the Nurburgring.) Did it with the Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI. Few adjustments to the car and it runs great! More photos from all three tracks in the GT7 Race Photo Thread
20970730412852063.jpg

  • And some usual Tokyo Expressway a couple of times with the Tomahawk.

Yesterday I bought
  • Alfa Romeo Giulia Zagato '65
  • Second Supra GT500 '97
  • Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI '93
  • Fairlady Z 432 '69
  • 2x additional RX-7 Spirit R '02 because of course, race car!
I was going to do something creative yesterday, but my life insists on being all Bill Murray. After my drug casualty brother harassed me for money - done with that, I took out my frustrations on Blofeld - I mean, V. Gallo and S'willo at Tokyo for almost 5 million credits. Did some car maintenance and called it a day, relaxing with some time in Vilous before bed, a very strange but fascinating Japanese science fantasy world.

Back to 70 million credits after spending some hours on Tokyo Expressway. Nothing much else today.

^ I did not do the Le Mans event again with the Supra, probably tomorrow.

The entire time I played GT7 today, I was working on getting gold on the WTC 700 race at Brands Hatch. I did finally get it, complete with the CRB, but it's true what they said - no two races are alike. Sometimes I'd get stuck going slow under a yellow flag because another racer had spun out, and on another attempt, I was just a second or so behind the leader near the last corner of the last lap - and it always seems to be Portilla in a Viper Gr.4 - when I spun out and decided to restart. On the attempt that I did win, the leading cars pitted not once, but twice, which was unusual when compared to my other attempts.

FWIW, I'm still using that Mustang Gr.4 that I won from the missions. On one hand, it's quite frustrating to see such inconsistency in your results, seemingly having your win dependent on how the AI decides to roll that day. (This seemed especially egregious on the mission where you're in an SLR McLaren and need to pass some A45s on a section of the Nordschleife.) On the other hand, this inconsistency at least makes it fun to make some extra credits for a clean P4 or something similar. Perhaps it could be good practice for Sport Mode?

EDIT: Also, for this race, there's no way to avoid pitting, as far as I'm aware - even with short-shifting and putting the FM to 6. So I decided to use FM3 and some short-shifting, plus Racing Medium tires, so that I'd need to pit just as I'm finishing my 5th lap. This worked really well, too.

I did one race at Tokyo, got a 6 star ticket which gave me the Toyota FT-1 VGT. No my cup of tea, but at least it's not 10K credits!

And now waiting for Forza 7 to complete downloading. I thought it would do it with the console turned off, but I guess you need to watch it download :banghead: I'm a bit lost in the XBox UI, been a while, can't find anything lol. Yesterday nothing happened after I put in the disc, couldn't find the game in the UI nor the disc or disc drive and eventually used the eject button to get it back out. Turning the disc the other way around helped lol. Wtf is up when the slot is vertical, apparently the other way around as on ps5

As for GT7, no changes in the LCD today, still waiting on cars to re-appear, no desire for entering the cut down sport mode. I got the funds together to complete the grids I want to race against, however the LCD is slow to update. Great design!

Do you have the Series console? I think you can download games through the mobile app without having it on.

Also, GG on the FT-1! It's probably my second favorite VGT, first being the LM55 :P

I bought another Mazda RX-7 from the used car dealer and took it to Interlagos. I intend to keep it stock as I already have a modified version with a 4-rotor. I then bought an '02 Viper from Brand Central, modified it into a GTS-R replica and took it to Le Mans. After that I went back to the used car dealer and bought another '02 Viper. I then gave my '16 Camaro, '15 AMG GT and '13 Huayra some power upgrades to hear how their engine note changed with a racing crankshaft, racing exhuast, racing manifold and increased displacement. It enhanced the sounds of all three cars, namely the Huayra which had a deeper tone.

I know I'm on the Late Show with Dave Letterman, buuuut, I grinded out a few more on the Trial Mountain Cup with my totally built 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat, which btw is one nasty mf'er at 514hp/657pp, it's not even fair.. omw to another mil, for what i'm not sure yet, as all my Deutsch rides are already maxed.. we'll see what happens.. in the meantime i'm dig'n TM.. excellent practice outside of "The Ring"(Germany) & a nice way to earn some good bucks.. be back soon with more goodies!

I bought the Gr.4 Alfa from the LCD last night, so today I changed its number to 34, and ran it in the WTC 700. I then bought a ‘23 Z Performance that I plan to tune later. Then, I bought the Silvia S15 Touring Car and ran it in the WTC 700. Then I took this picture to commemorate what was a relaxing and easy evening of GT7.

That pic ain't from GT7 is it ? 😉
The flags on the outside barrier at the Carousel are missing in GT7 and that sponsor sign is different.
More grass on the inside brick curb too.

Edit: Apologies, I thought it was a race photo....just noticed it's a real life image from Scapes.

Golded the Autopolis Circuit Experience.

I've really grown to love Autopolis after absolutely hating it thanks to A-10 Final Test in the Supra.

That said, and despite my love for the '16 NISMO Motul GT500, I felt like this was a demanding Lap Attack as the consecutive corners are not only tight but demand high pace (thanks to the car's grip levels) which only really feels achievable with perfect entry exit lines. Fluff entry/exit and the consecutive corners lose flow, pace and precision. Which is true of any corner but because of the cars quality there is the expectation of delivering at pace

Not sure how the demo cheats to a 1:36:XX with TC, because I found 1:38:500 on controller with no Assists pretty white knuckle (and seemingly so have my friends list as I have the highest Gold time atm :D).

I managed a 1:38:1XX

Love that car.

I've been struggling with the full lap of Autopolis for a while. Think I'm about 0.5 off, can gold any sector, just can't put the whole lap together.

I love Autopolis, but the Circuit Experience time is very challenging. I'm close to Gold but it is extremely difficult with a controller.

I did both the WTC 700 and WTC 800 races at Le Mans yesterday, hoping for just over 1 million Cr. to put towards the Ferrari in the Legendary Car section, but was disappointed. I came second in the WTC 800 race (quite a rare event), as it rained heavily and although I got onto Inters at the right time, the AI stayed ahead and won by 1.5 s. I did get the CRB, but the prize money was still less than 0.5 million Cr. I then won the WTC 700 race, but didn't get the CRB for some reason. I'm pretty sure it was due to exceeding track limits, as I was using the Subaru BRZ SuperGT tuned to 800PP and it's a bit too much at times. So, another day gone and I'm still about 4 million Cr. shy of my target.

Got lost in the Legendary Dealer thread, discussing the ALFA 155 sound, or lack of.. noticed there was a Legndary car i never heard about, that seemed... interesting, i burned my millions from SPA on .. other stuff, like the 155.. so as people say when they do stuff they don't really feel for (Tokyo Hawking)

"I needed the money"

Got my first sub 17 at Tokyo, nothing special, but then i didn't change a thing on the car.. i guess driving many races in the same car on the same track.. makes you faster? :)

Thanks to Hawking credits.. i got this..

A very cool looking car, it's on Comfort Softs (huuh?) but it's predictable, powerful and drives like a legend...

Yesterday I popped a couple of lottery tickets to get them overwith before they expired on me, a three and four star and won the usual 10K, wee.

I did the usual Blofeld - I mean, V. Gallo harassment at Tokyo for not-quite five million, then switched to boring old sports cars to make Rose happy. She was delighted when I chose the RE Amemiya RX-7, but for some reason I was just too slow in it, even in chase cam, so I quit and used my Murcielago, which has a beautiful engine sound. But I placed second to Rose, and just to see if I was car dependent, and maybe I am, I chose the Audi R8 and won handily. I think I got spoiled by that Tomahawk "death machine." Bond is getting his racing rig going today, and I encouraged Felix over lunch to join in and see if we could give our friend across the Pond a dose of friendly Yank competition.

Then to cap off the evening, I went shopping at the dealerships and bought
  • Aston Martin One-77
  • Aston Martin Vulcan
  • 2x Bugatti Veyron '13
  • 2x GT by Citroen Road Car
  • Ferrari LaFerrari '13
  • Ferrari Enzo '02
  • Ferrari FXX K '14
  • Lamborghini Veneno '14
  • Second Pagani Huayra '13
  • Second Porsche Carrera GT '04
My invites save for one were set to expire today, so better safe than sorry. There went about 25 million in winnings!

Got screwed over on the Le Mans grind. Tuned a BMW M3 to within an inch of its life and straight away discovered it was really down on power so was praying for rain to give me a fighting chance. Typically, this was the first LM race in ages I've had without even a hint of rain on the weather radar! 🤦‍♂️

Started the last lap 9th as a few people came out of the pits in front of me, but managed to fight my way back to a fifth place finish for 300k (less than I spent on tuning), but almost a minute down on McEwen's Corvette.

My 1-star, 5k, daily kick-while-i'm-down ticket didn't help either!

Edit: Redeemed myself by giving the old BB a run. This time the storm came early and hard. Pitted after lap 2 for IM and pulled away from there. Even the slightly wayward handling didn't offset my power on the straights!

I don't have a mobile phone though, hence I can afford multiple consoles :P

It's getting harder every year, everything wants you to use an app and instead of human readable instructions everything is turning into those QR codes. For example, I accidentally hit the share button, it said it uploaded a screenshot, but I can't figure out where to lol.

Ah, windows has a XBox console companion app, which has captures. So that's where it goes! You can press download, it quickly shows a bar then nothing. Still just a small preview. It's dumped into some folder on my laptop apparently. Just so much faster to use a USB stick than chasing stuff around like this

I'm actually grinding to get the cars together to make VGT free grids  I don't want no LM55 VGT mixed in with GR.C! It's a nice car to drive but I'm more into the older cars. My outstanding list is down to 10

1961 Jaguar E-Type Coupe 162,500 LCD May 15
1956 Porsche 356 A/1500 GS Carrera 615,000 LCD May 16

1960 Plymouth XNR Ghia Roadster 1,600,000 LCD May 21
1966 Jaguar XJ13 12,000,000 LCD May 25
1997 Porsche 911 996 GT1 Strassenversion 3,000,000 LCD May 26
1954 Ferrari Mondial Pinin Farina Coupe 4,000,000 LCD May 30
1994 McLaren F1 18,500,000 LCD June 2
1970 Porsche 917K 18,000,000 LCD June 3
1966 Ford GT40 Mk1 5,600,000 LCD June 4

The jeep is limited stock atm, so maybe one change tonight or tomorrow. The Jaguar might be a day early.
