Set a new personal best at Tokyo, 14:28

Consistency is the key to success, keep passing them on the straight as long as possible.

Other than that, collected 10K daily ticket, saw no new cars in the LCD, looked at the sport mode selection, went back to Tokyo.

Nice, i did a PB today of 14:39.881, but i'm only hitting a lil over 520 top speed ,care to share your set-up?

I bought the McLaren F1 GTR BMW '95, searched for a nice livery and took it to the 1 hour Spa race. Lots and lots of fun to drive. More photos from the race here.

Also did some Tokyo grinding as I'm back to 60 million credits now, and a week ago i was still at 100...

Repeated the GT World Series with my new Ford GT with med RPM turbo. Car was a handful, but got 5 out of 5 race wins. The Nurb race netted me Cr.150,000 for the win, but didn’t say it was a CRB - have they updated the payout for this? I thought 1.11 updated them all to Cr.100,000 each??

2 races on the HSR and one on Tokyo to do my daily, won a 4 star and guess what,10 bloody grand...again ,then went and bought the 1969 Corvette and a Honda Beat.

I won the 30 min WTC 700 race at Le Mans for the first time today, again probably because it didn't rain this time...

7 laps, one stop strategy and kept one set of RH on for the whole race, pitted end lap 4 after running Lean for the whole first stint, and saved my gas for a hot final lap and won the race by 6 s in my trusty old Denso SARD Supra GT500. It did start to rain briefly on Lap 4 and I had to decide whether to change to Inters, but it was already passing (radar came in very handy here!) and so I stayed on RHs.

CRB made it a cool 825,000 Cr. for 32 mins work.

It also works with power restrictor at 100%, faster on the straight but then you need fm6 to make it and run out of DRS faster.
This 2146 HP version works with FM5 all the way and using DRS on the long straight.

My FL is 1:05 in another setup with RM tires, yet that's not faster over all. Sticking to 1:10 laps for as long as possible keeps the AI mostly on the straight when you need to pass them again. Go faster and you run into the tail end too soon and have to slow down or crash into a wall in the S before the hairpin. Go slower and they already get in the twisty bit ahead of you.

2 laps of the ring with a stock NSXR '02 and zero assists... not easy (for me). Only got a 1 star with 5k for my pain. (Got a 6 star yesterday for the same task).

Also bought the LM Porsche from LCD yesterday (with the 500k I won with the 6 star) and a Clio V6 today to pursue my french collection.

Yesterday, all I did was race tune the AMG A45 and Fairlady Z Z33 S (350Z) to my GT5 spec I'm working out. This is more my speed, about 1:45 around Deep Forest. I don't get the jitters with other racing sims, thank you Kazunori-sensei. I look forward to the day GT7 feels close to real life so I'm not as afraid of all these wonderful machines.

Edit: woops, I completely forgot I spent a couple of hours trying to do SergioRZ's NSX Nurburgring challenge, and managed an 8:10 lap. Gah, what a frustrating trial.

Working on custom JGTC cars tuned to 730PP with the stock GT500 R34 and Supra as my baseline target times

R33 - wonderfully stable, tuned once and could immediately/consistently hit the target times
F40 - great straight line speed but a bit sketchy on high speed cornering
NSX - still an absolute death trap after an hour of tinkering

I came up with two strategies for two events I struggled a bit with today.

The first one was the mission where you need to do 24 minutes of Le Mans. Contrary to what I may've said in a previous post, I ended up starting on Racing Mediums, as there's less grip lost by the time I need to pit for both fuel and tires that are better for rain. On that note, I also changed to Intermediates versus Heavy Wets, as the former compound does seem to last notably longer than the latter one. This is especially important since it only seems possible to get gold if you pit once, and once only. In the rain, it did get pretty nasty, but I felt a lot more confident by going much slower; the AI was even slower, likely trying to be similarly cautious. So I finally got gold on the mission, then proceeded to get golds for the last two missions, upon which I won the D1GP-spec BRZ and 2J.

Next, I did the GT Cup Gr.4 race at the Brands Hatch Grand Prix Circuit. It took a couple attempts, but it wasn't too hard to get gold.

But then there was the GT Cup Gr.4 race at High Speed Ring. I was set on using the Mustang Gr.4 that I won from the missions, and while I could get third or even second, I just couldn't catch first. I tried playing with the gear ratios, but that didn't really help at all. It turned out that trying to use Racing Softs was ironically holding me back for this one, as switching to Racing Hards allowed me to use notably more power while keeping the PP under 630, leading me to get better lap times during the race. Plus, using Racing Softs led to the tires being quite worn-down by the last lap or so.

Now that I had completed the GT Cup Gr.4 races - at least, the ones we have for now - I put the high-RPM supercharger back into my Mustang Gr.4 and re-equipped the Racing Softs, just as I had for the WTC 700 championship, as I plan to use this car for the other WTC 700 races. Off we go!

I won race 2& 3 in the GT World Series to take the lead of Fraga I still have to do Mt. Panorama and the Ring. I dont do well on those tracks so I am hoping to finish the series in at least 3rd so I don't have to do it again and I can start grinding to get some cars I want.

I find winning that race at Mt. Panorama very difficult because it is pitch dark by the end.

I've also noticed that following a car too closely in the dark is very difficult too, as if the car infront has no lights on - one's own headlights appear to create a void of black beyond the car in front which makes it very difficult to see.

That last chicane at Mt. Panorama in a close race has scuppered me a few times... which, appropriately enough, leads to some very Australian language being uttered loudly.

I did buy the Veyron before the invite window closes. I also grinded Tokyo a little bit and now I have enough money to buy the last 2 cars for my last trophy. 16.6M cr for the ford mk IV and the Jag XJ13. And I moved up from B to A driver rating. Quite a nice day.

Did the 86/BRZ Sport Race, then did my workout for a 3 star ticket.

And my prize... BAC Mono! Finally a good spin :)

The other option was the SRT-10, which would've been cool too.

Took a red 2017 Nissan GT-R to the Tokyo WTC600 race and managed to set some quick laps (at least for my skill level). Got a pair of 2:09s in the final stages of the race and won by over 40 seconds. Made sure hard difficulty was selected.

I also tried it with a 2003 Audi TT 3.2 and didn’t do as well, but still managed to win despite a stupid five-second barrier penalty. It is quite difficult to be at the limit in Tokyo since these tracks are narrow and have little margin for error. Doesn’t help that the track is damp in this event

I also did the WTC 700 race at Laguna Seca. I felt a lot better doing a no-stop, by picking Racing Hards and setting to FM all the way to 6. I would've gotten the CRB, too, if I didn't spin out at the corkscrew in the latter half of the race. I'm still looking forward to trying the other WTC 700 races!

Daily workout got me another 3-star ticket and the wheel of misfortune gave me another 5K. I must be doing something wrong.
Took my first drive of the Ferrari 330 P4. Love that car. Sounds so awsome. Seems a bit more edgy than in GTS but then so are most others.
Did a couple of attempts at the Sardegna race with the 911. Couldn't quite get to first place so detuned the 787B and that did the trick. Love that car.
Went to the Redbull ring. Win or lose always an entertaining race. I do okay until the rain comes. I just seem to be too nervous of wet driving in GT7 which is annoying as I always excelled in the wet in previous GTs. Another challenge to overcome.
Update tomorrow which is fine by me as I need to take my bike for a shakedown before my trip to the seaside next weekend.
I thought it was just me that only ever got the 5k on every roulette ticket.

Tried 3 times to gold the Tsukuba Mazda Roadster TC mission to no avail, still silver at best. If anyone has any ideas I should try, please let me know. Got disillusioned with that, so tried a PP set up for the Dodge Tomahawk which finally worked, the 1st since the update. Spent 2 hours grinding credits at Tokyo.

Gold at Human Comedy #4 - Kyoto

For anyone interested, here's the tune and strategy:

Who says you need an OP car? :D - I managed a 2:48:650 - the AIs fastest lap was 2:48:201.

Strategy is simple - keep going until around the 38th minute which is around the 14th lap; pit for Fresh tyres and only take enough fuel for around 7.5 laps.

The EK9 is a corner monster and Kyoto is full of corners - prioritise acceleration as there is barely a straight long enough for the EK9 to hit top speed. The Civic is excellent because its low power means tyre wear and fuel consumption are less of a consideration. The Limited Edition Turbo Civic Type-R '20 (315BHP) starts needing tyres by lap 5 for comparison. The EK9 did 14 comfortably.

Thanks alot man!
I had to get used to running in 7th gear and i made a couple tweaks to the gearing but long story short i just ran a new PB, 14:26.353, no DRS,was a fun afternoon.

Rolling Stones Golded! I already have a C7, so I'll probably sell the dupe once that update happens. Although, I don't know if you'll be able to sell prize cars...

Finally won Daytona..
Had 3 close attempts with stock cars..
Finally i went with a custom setup, low rpm turbo and racing gearbox so that I could overtake on the straights.

The car was the Supra GR3

Wheel of misfortune blessed me with the lowest reward from a s

I tuned up my Mazda RX500 and it was a fun challenge, I too like the lemans race, and the randomness of the weather
I find the Tomahawk at Tokyo is great for a quick credit grind, but Le Mans 30 minutes is a blast. I always try a different car, I've even tuned stock cars for this. The randomness of the weather is great

I didn’t have much time to play GT7 today since I went to Chicago to see the Cubs play at Wrigley Field.

I got on very early this morning and did an MR2 Gr.4 build, as well as slapped on a Team Oreca livery from the Showcase on the Mk2 Viper GTS I got in the daily roulette ticket today. Yes, something other than the lowest credit reward for once!

That was all
I found the showcase a few days ago. There are some absolutely amazing liveries on there.
I got the Lambo VGT yesterday on the roulette ticket😉
