I spent a little time with another unconventional off road vehicle. This old timer has a 3.6L up it's bottom, and a suspension that I can't for the life of me find a good balance for, which you'll no doubt witness in the video. It's about as close as I can get it to smooth without adding a bunch of weight (which I still might do). Still, it makes for a pretty nutty replay. Enjoy.

I love that that race allows any car that you can put dirt tires on and is not limited to Gr.B cars. Seen some great videos this week.

I wish you could install dirt/snow tires on the race cars, but eh... I'll take what I can get. My next foray into rally builds is going to focus on small FWD cars, starting with the mk1 VW Golf, likely.

Looking for a good combo as a go-to for visitors new to VR, so I was experimenting...

Top of the short list is:-

High Speed Ring
Dawn
Porsche Speedster

The above seems to be a good combination of speed, ribbon simplicity, attractive lighting, general three-dimensionality in the scenery, open cockpit and not too much nausea opportunity (vertigo-inducing vertical changes).

A pleasant day of just driving with a somewhat different goal.

PS The Reprehensible Wheel ™ reward was 5,000.

Sunday gaming time, I completed the remaining 3 weekly races and the final ticket gave me a Toyota Supra VGT. Or whatever is called. Meh.

I also set a laptime in the AMG/Monza time trial and sold a bunch of cars, which brought my collection down to 189 cars. My garage is basically made up of UCD and LCD cars, next I'll start revisiting brand central in order to test and select those.

But that's a task for next weekend.

I got my birthday car. Mazda Vision GR.3. I'll keep as I want to put a 787B livery on it. I bought bought BMW's in the UCD with turquoise color. I bought like 4 Speed Sixes to get to 20. So I will probably create a spec series using 10 swapped and 10 non swapped. Did the WC got 100 from 5 ⭐ 🎟️

I spent some time with a couple different FWD cars (mk1 VW Golf GTI, and Peugeot 205 GTI). The last few days I've been focusing on FWD rally builds (primarily SMALL vehicles) in rally stages. First off the 1983 VW Golf GTI (mk1), which turned out to be an absolute joy to drive on the rough stuff. The suspension could use a few tweaks (softening the spring rate a touch wouldn't hurt), but overall I highly recommend it. Great car!

Next the 1988 Peugeot 205 GTI, which turned out even better. Very balanced chassis. Super quick for what it is. I'm looking forward to trying it out in the snow next. Stay tuned for that.

Next will be the little Autobianchi A112. My initial testing with it was quite promising, so hopefully it handles the loose stuff well. We shall certainly see.
