What did you do in GT7 today?

Yesterday, I mostly did some laps at CGV for an online time trial, featuring the Mercedes-AMG C63 S, as well as buying all three cars required for the Seasonal Menu. I also bought myself a Hyundai N 2025 VGT - that is, the one that's not Gr.1-compliant - to complete the respective Extra Menu that requires it.

I had also bought a Mazda Demio in Smoky Rose Mica to swap the Lancer Evo X Rally Car's engine into, as I had one such engine laying around. Not only that, but I also really tinkered with the ballast to get the weight distribution quite a bit closer to 50:50, all while getting my build just under 600 PP on Sport Softs.

EDIT: As for today, perhaps I'll do the Circuit Experience for St. Croix A, as well as the newly-added WTC 800 round at Mt. Panorama which is also a part of the current weekly challenges.

As a result of purchasing the 2017 Ford GT, the despicable wheel coughed up something fun, the COPEN RJ VGT

I'm not wild about most Vision cars, but this felt like a real car on the Nurburgring 24h. Turned into a fun race

After a false start where I realized that all the Sophy drivers were as drunk as skunks, I restarted the race with a goal of achieving the Clean Race Bonus. In this race, the Sophys showed up in an anachronistic mix of ancient sports cars and modern safety cars. (You can see the list in the screen shot below).

By cautiously threading my way past the weaving drunks, I found myself behind the final two Safety Meganes. Just made it past one, then the last one had very slightly longer legs than my Copen down the straight. This was clearly going to be an exciting finish no matter which way the dice rolled. In an uncharacteristic act of bravery, I snatched the lead at the last moment and won by half a second with the CRB intact.

I really like close finishes. This was a great experience!

I did the WC
Put the V12-XJR-9 engine in the TVR Speed Six.

It is very good indeed, I won the new WTC 600pp and WTC 700pp races with ease, it can also get to 800pp, it is a very expensive swap at £1.6m but the car is in the shop at the moment so it would be worth picking up a spare one if you ever decide to make the swap.

The car has all the modifications and weight reductions.

Couple of things I love the livery. Did you create it? If so is it editable? Also that is probably my favorite swap. I need to dial it just a wee bit because it is a little oversteery out of the curves. I think I need to change the LSD settings and maybe adjust the toe. I would like to do a few more swaps but I have to buy more engines which I will do eventually

Went and did a race in the power pack that unlocked a five star roulette ticket that I clicked to collect. Decided to run one more power pack race I did before for fun because I was short of the daily marathon. When I went to collect my prizes the five star ticket from the power pack was gone or never appeared. Anyone else ever have this happen?

Can you take post some photos of this car in the garage please? I love the livery!

I found the livery, I changed the colour of the decals to purple to be closer to the Speed Twelve and also added one or two other decals.

There are a few very similar liveries, as I mentioned above I just looked for one like the Cerbra and edited it.

I managed to tame the SU7 (weight reduction up to stage 3 and power limiter to 70%) to win and even enjoy the weekly challenge and complete the set for the 500,000 cr. The daily roulette ticket (4-star) earned me the Maserati Gran Turismo, and I purchased the 959 from Hagerty to complete the Porsche Supercar menu, which is probably one of the best menus, animation-wise.

The 959 might be a Tokyo Expressway WTC 600 killer If I manage to correct its snappiness in some of the fast corners.

What did I do today?.... I have accomplished a goal I set late 2022. I had just gotten back into GT, (took a long break starting right before the release of GT5...divorce) I picked up a used PS4, and started racing again, and was amazed at the times that were in the leaderboards. I was struggling to get golds on TTs. So I set a goal to make it into the Top 100 one day. I have now done that twice!
So, today with the time I did CGV with the Mercedes-AMG C63 S, I placed 70th which should solidify another top 100! Super stoked that I have done this. It's kinda a big deal for me. :gtpflag:

Knocked out the remaining two races I had for the Weekly races

bought another Mercedes AMG GT3 - found an IMSA Woodward racing livery
bought another Ford Mustang GT3 - found a N24 HRT Livery

I made a start on finishing the Event Directory - I'm now on 95%, and the main ones I have left are the Clubman Cup Plus and, oddly, the Gr.3 Cup.

The Clubman Cup Plus seems insanely hard - I was struggling, even on Easy difficulty, and have found that I need to look up what other people are using to win in order to have any chance. It's good that there's a challenge though, but the rubber banding is quite frustrating at times.

-Bought a Tuscan, engine swapped it, gave it a widebody, added some aero bits, new brakes, new gearbox, new suspension and took it to Deep Forest. To my surprise, it wasn't a complete disaster to drive.
-Drove the 911 GT3 R around Bathurst. It feels properly dialed in for all the bumps and elevation changes.
-Bought the Citroen DS and drove it around Sardegna A. For a car with only 103 HP, it definitely didn't feel like it. Handles just like a modern car which did shock me.
-Bought the Aston DB5 and C2 Corvette then drove them around Tsukuba.
-Bought 2 BMW CSLs, tuned one, gave it a widebody and took it to Spa. My tuned one has all the upgrades bar a turbo because I want the car to be NA like the real race car. Sounds great.

Back in the day (I'm talking 1960s), a mate had the older DS19 (with even less power) yet it made fantastic time up and down the Hume Highway between Sydney and Canberra due to the superb handling. Back then, we couldn't believe just how good a car it was. And the comfort was out of this world. And those giant front disk brakes :D

Time trial at Daytona with the new Porsche 911 GT3 R (992). The car is quite fast compared to its counterpart in real life, the BoP was particularly harsh with it this year.

I've been testing my 600 PP stable at the 2-lap WTC 600 in Nordschleife to see how they measure against the SU7, and that's where I'm getting my daily mileage while waiting for the new weekly challenges.

A 6-star roulette ticket got me the regular Alpine VGT.

So, I tried to figure out where the design of the alternative 3500B nose came from and I found a likely suspect.

That's the Footwork FA13 Mugen Honda

The FA12 nose is unique, but the sidepods are close.

So I made the FA12 Porsche and the FA13

I went with a red rim stripe on the FA13 because I found a few photos that showed it as red rather than yellow (or dirty yellow)

Did my daily and got 10k from a 4 star ticket

Bought another XJ 220
Bought another TVR and found that original GT 4 livery.... now I just need to decide on whether to use the LS engine swap or the XJR swap.

I have 1 XJR and 2 LS engines in my tuning parts

-Drove my stock BMW CSL and 296 GT3 aound the High Speed Ring
-Drove my Radical SR3 SL around Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
-Drove the Nismo R34 GT-R Z-Tune and the Mine's R34 GT-R around the Nurburgring

did my usual - got 10 k from a 4 star

Picked up a Panda from the UCD and did the B18 swap. ( I was actually kind of shocked to see this was one of the swaps I DIDNT have )

I won the GT Cup Gr. 3 race at the Red Bull Ring

It was the only event that I haven't even tried before, and was expecting it to be very difficult - but it turned out to be much easier than I was expecting.

Started in 1st place on IM tyres and led from start to end - nice to have that out of the way, and only 3 more Gr.3 races for 100%...

Yesterday, I had completed January - Week 5 of the Weekly Challenges. Today, I had entered Monza time trial that originated last Thursday.

Knocked out the Weeklys. Got a Mercedes Benz AMG GT 3 from the reward ticket.

Bought another one of the new Porsche 911 GT 3s
Bought a Ford Escort RS Cosworth and did the Gr B engine swap.

I did a couple of the weekly challenges (drafting and WTC 600 at Nordschleife) and from the 4-star roulette ticket I got the Toyota Crown safety car.
