Yesterday I took my brand new Mustang Gr.4 to Le Sarthe and it rained cats and dogs. Should I have it washed?

I came across an old photo of the Lotus 102 and I remembered that I used to have these two Tamiya kits below (I also has the Ferrari 640 (no snorkel), MP4/5, and a Jordan 191). I had forgotten all about them. They're long gone now, lost in some moving box somewhere over the years.

Anyway, I felt compelled to recreate them, almost like pulling something out of the past.

I made some changes to Cerbera LM livery to make more like a Speed 12 themed livery. Then I took it to LeMans. I was at FM6 but that was 8 laps so I dropped it FM4 which gave 7 laps. In an ideal race I would be able to do a nostop race. But it is not so I got the downpour at the end of lap 1 so I siwthced to IM and finished the race as it rained the whole time. I think I can probably do FM2 or 3 with car and still get at least 5 laps. I adjusted the LSD and slight increased anti-roll to get it to a sweet spot for me. It was blast

I took my inspiration from @A1an's livery. I think I tweak it some more. Also I want to do the livery PD used for the race modified Speed 12 edit: I forgot to in GT2 Got to look it up

I'm 100% a PSVR2 driver, and while VR is REALLY great, it's tricky operating the MFD on my G29 wheel because I can't see it and it's hard to turn the knob while changing gears.

Today I exploited GT7's ability to replace an automatic transmission with a manual one while actually driving the car.

So I started the Le Sarthe WTC700 with an automatic box instead of the normal 8-speed in the GR Supra RZ '20. This freed up the fingers on both hands.

I messed around setting the zoom level in the weather map, made the fuel mapping leaner, and then, while traveling down Mulsanne at about 100 mph, I ripped out the auto and popped in the 8-speed for the rest of the race. Easy!!

Went on to win by 3.9 seconds 😮‍💨

PS I mapped the ↩ button inside the twist knob so it advances through the MFD options. That allows either hand to switch MFD functions.

I am a controller driver, will try...
I thin you hit the "Options" button and that pauses the game and brings up the ability to change Assists. That said, I suspect that it's easier to find the MFD controls by feel on a controller than on a wheel, but I'm guessing

Last night, I made the McLaren MP4/8B livery, which is technically a fantasy livery. This car might have saved Senna's life.

In 1992 Honda left F1 and took their V12 with them (the Mugen Honda was the previous generation v10 that McLaren used in 1990). In 1993, McLaren used the Ford engine and Senna was on a race to race contract because the Ford was underpowered for running at the front. In their search for more power, McLaren tried the Lamborghini V12, which was being used by Larrousse in the LH93. They modified MP4/8 which they dubbed the 8B (because the Lambo is a longer engine). They took it to Silverstone where Mika Hakkinen lapped 1.5 seconds faster than the Ford powered car.

Unfortunately, McLaren was in the midst of a deal with Peugeot, which they finalized, and that's what they used to 1994. That's the year Senna left for Williams, and the rest is history.

IF (ya I know, big IF) McLaren had gone with Lamborghini instead of Ford for 1993, EVERYTHING would have changed. They could have worked on reliability, and Senna might have stayed for 1994. The Williams FW16 started the year with issues, and was never "right" all year (which is why it came down to the wire between Hill and Schumacher in 1994). Senna would have raced a fast McLaren against a problematic Williams and, quite likely, he would have survived 1994 AND have become a 4 time world champion.

For the livery, I reproduced the MP4/9 livery on the 3500B with sloped nose. I swapped the Peugeot stuff with Lamborghini/Chrysler decals. I even added a little raging bull on the cowl above the head rest. I completed the car with a V12 swap, full race exhaust for the roar, and the full race transmission, then I detuned to the reported 750HP.

Finally got around to completing the 2 lap GR3 Nurb Power Pack race. I loathe the new Ferrari and how it can very easily get sketchy in the lower gears, combined with a mandatory 8 minute out-lap, I found this race tedious and stressful. But it's done.

Is that the Asian LeMans series ? I was watching that this morning on Youtube.

re ran the WTC 600 event at the Ring from the Weeklys. ( I had finished P3 the other day ) ... This time used the Aston Martin DP 100 VGT. It didn't have the straight line speed of the Xiaomi but I still took the victory by 7 seconds

Noticed I still had a WTC 700 event at Spa I haven't done yet. Used one of my de-tuned Toyota GT Ones. Easy win.

Back up to 100 percent completion.

Post Race Incident Realization #2,491
  • When suddenly/unwillingly/infuriatingly stopped and facing the proper direction, yet still in 6th, it is quicker to hit reverse and then first versus fever-smashing down through the gears 👍

Enjoyed the Alfa 4C Gr.3 at Le Sarthe WTC700. What it lacks in speed, it compensates with outstanding braking and handling, and sweet steering. Easy win in heavy rain during laps 3 to 5.

I bought the Porsche 962, detuned it for the WTC700 and won all three tracks :)

Grinded a bit and bought the new 911 GT3 R - I think I prefer the Jag though.

Raced the Sunday Cup at Watkins Glen International 400PP. Tried with the Abarth 500 and came 7th. Tried with the Lancia Stratos and came 3rd. Third attempt was with the 911 Turbo (930) and won it. 400PP is an absolute joke. The lead cars are all pushing 450-480 minimum.

I freaking love you guys...

Bought another SF 23 / Toyota and lo and behold, people have already created the new Cadillac F1 livery.

Took it to Spa for a WTC 900 event for a quick 300k. Fast lap of 2:05.9xx.. im pretty proud of myself.

Ran the Sunday Cup Weekly Challenge race @ Road Atlanta short w/the swapped A110 (1000-ish ponies) just so I could listen to it scream. Also wanted to see if it could clear 200mph on the short course. It can...while huffin' on the bottle and smokin' tires in 6th.😁
