Hey peoples,

Ive grown up with seeing it all the time so it's all too familiar to pass unbiased judgement, so it would be interesting to hear the opinion of non-Aussies about this car!

Sweet-ass ride? Ugly as hell? Apex-eating beast?

Let us know! 👍 :)

I'm jealous of you Australians for having Falcon's and Commodore's as everyday cars. Can you give some to us Brits? I know you've given us the Monaro and Commodore, but I want more. :D

I love Aussie Muscle. I think that sums up my feelings.

love it although it cant beat a clk dtm @ the same pp i do like a car with alittle weight
so braking and throttle control counts for somthing:)

I'm English and I love Fords. I have owned 6 cars now in real life, all Ford (I did try some others). Unfortunately, here we do not seem to like V8s. I do, but the rest of the country seem intent on saving fuel, saving the planet, making less noise, driving at half the speed limit etc.
Now I sound like a ricer (I'm not).
To answer the question, I love it, because it has a V8, it sounds great, drives great, and I have to disagree with you and say that it looks great too.

I'm not a fan of the AU Falcons looks but I would have a BA any day.

As for the car in GT5, I love the sound from the angry V8 and it drives pretty well too for a heavy car. It's sad that PD left out the Aussie Ford road cars.

I love it! In fact, I'd like to see more Australian cars in the game (yeah, I'm dreaming) :)

V8 Supercars FTW!!!! :)

Fun car, and PD should have put a Commodore race car in the game too so that we could have some epic online V8 Supercar action 👍

I basically see it as the love child of a European Touring car and an American NASCAR car. (Well, pretty much a touring car with an American-sourced V8).

Well seeing as I'm not technically Aussie I'll answer this... It's bloody fantastic! It's not as fast as a Mercedes CLK DTM race car but it's still one beautiful machine. Plus it's a Ford which means it is double awesome. Only problem is it isn't black...,
Love all Aussie V8's

I like the V8 Supercars a lot more than DTM. Brutal V8 power and great racing action.

I like the V8 Supercar in GT5 a lot. Too bad it is a really old model, the newer models look a lot better. But I think the physics can´t match the real ones. For its weight and power and from what you can see in TV, the ingame car handles way too easy.

And too bad it is just a Ford, the Holden is missing.

How about some historic V8 Supercars in the game?

V8 Supercars = one word: badass.

Very tempting to grab too for some reason.

Love V8 series, i know thanks to Toca Race Driver long time ago, today i watch em in TV, just love the sound, i not understand why PD put just the Ford and not the Holden (yes, licenses, but work for them!)

Sweet-ass ride!

Personally prefer the Holden.👍

Being half australian actually, this car is a blast.

I think PD missed the boat not having more of these noisy brutes in the game. Im rebuying the game tonight and thanks to this topic, I know what Im taking out first :)

I like them though never seen any in real life. Have driven them in GT5 and have enjoyed their feel and handling.

Off topic. An Australian babe is coming over mine tonight so will whip them out for her...the cars I mean.

It´s a very good Race Car. Stable and very "easy" on Throttle (due to it´s weight ??).
It is not as fast as other mentioned Touring Cars but it comes close.
I did the Supercar Seasonals Eifel:
DTM (the newer ones): 1:02.7-9
JGTC/SuperGT: 1:02.5-9 (excluding the Lambo: 1:01.6)
Ford Falcon: 1:03.5 (I think maybe better, will try it later :D)

The Lister Storm is a compareable counterpart I think. Almost same weight and allot of power.
And my Time output is equal (for me).

EDIT: Times done without super much efford in fine tuning the cars. Just did simple and fast changes (I could improve some tenth´s if I did)

Having seen the V8s at Phillip Island and Bathurst a couple of times, the engine noise is spot on, one of PD's best in the game I reckon.

A shame that they haven't included more modern V8 Supercars, bearing in mind that the platform, engine, gearbox and brakes havent changed all that much between 2000 and now.

Still, a 2005 Stone Brothers Racing #1 Marcos Ambrose Ford Falcon, would be great, with a corresponding model of his current NASCAR?

oooh, and (for all the Bathurst fans on here who know their recent Bathurst history) a 2005 Super Cheap Auto #51 Greg Murphy Holden Commodore.

And if both cars crash into each other, the drivers get out and start yelling at each other!

Brilliant idea for an Aussie DLC pack!

The first time I used the the Falcon was for the Nurb 4 hour endurance race the second time I did it. The car is an absolute blast to drive on the ring.

It would have been fun to see a few of its competitors in the game as well, but something is better than nothing.

Nice post! This is a great car to drive, decent acceleration and you have to love the roar of the V8. Brake hard and throw it into a corner, great acceleration out..sure it might not be the fastest, but it isn't to far behind. Ford built!!

Cool car & fun to drive! We get a car similar to the Holden over here - the Chev Lumina SSV. Awesome V8 sound & a monster! 👍👍👍

I absolutely adore this car beyond degree. Bloody great. 👍

I've always been impressed with how much you can throw it into corners and have it still stick and be stable, all the way back to GT3. There are only a handful of cars with similar PP that are as friendly as it is.
