I don't get bored with GT5 because I only play 3 hours a week.

I buy a car, give it an oil change, maybe a transmission and suspension upgrade, paint it a color I like, take it for a lap and... buy another car. You can see how this is a nearly never ending cycle. However, it keeps me in practice.

...what do you do?

My favorite is to put dirt tires on my Fiat 500 and take it for an offline race on Eiger Nordwand (The G trail I think). The cars get stuck on this hill and sometimes flip over XD

- Go on GTPlanet and look for racing events that are starting soon.

- Go karting

- Invent mini-games I can play with my friends that involve drifting.

I thought this would be the same for me but after a year or so it gets a little wearing.

Hä how can you geht Bored ??:// a skilled player never gets bored ;) if you love Motorsport, are good , can setup your cars , drive with a steering wheel on the highest simulations grade you can't get bored!!!
Sorry but players who are getting bored should sell Gran Turismo because they don't know what it really is ! They should buy NFS and basta ;)
Is out there anybody else thinking like me ??

I've had the game since release.

I applaud that you can keep it going that long.👍 I still love it but generally as a collector now,and doing the new seasonal's,also had it since release but only started playing hardcore in June 2011.

I think this whole forum is bored of GT5.. Nothing but stupid heal/hurt,memes,fantasy GT6 talk, and Forza vs. GT threads!!! We need some DLC or GT6 soon!! It's ridiculous.

I agree. The seasonals keep me interested and making money. I had slacked off in A-spec/B-spec (36A/39B). I collect too. My recent endeavor has been time trials*(free run/practice) while attempting to beat times posted on various tracks. It's fun seeing if my skill can take an unusual car to the top of my personal leaderboard.

Thank you for contributing to the topic!
I'll pretend that it wasn't sarcastic.

So, when you're bored on GT5, you go on GTPlanet and fix peoples grammar mistakes.

Very interesting.

=P
It IS interesting since it's related to AUP.
I am really glad that someone did this. When I see these errors I wonder how they made it out of high school LOL.
Don't get me started on "there/they're/their".

Sometimes I didn't know the MEME "This is why we can't have nice things".
I don't have English as my native language and yet I have to correct people that actually have it as their native language and STILL can't use somewhat proper grammar.

What I do when I'm bored of GT5:
*Play other games

Huh, the list was shorter than I thought it'd be...

Basically, you won't make the game less boring by continue playing it.

Another one would be too look at Photo Mode pictures on GTP or the Photo Stream http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/gt5/photo/.

I have the Photo Stream bookmarked.

Yeah, it passes at least five minute at a time and you can see such things as the damage model in action.

That can be fun, still deciding on which car to tackle this new 4WD seasonal in.

I don't remember what car it was, but it was some pathetic little Honda kei car which I installed a bunch of parts on, notably the full suspension package and max weight reduction. I set the toe in at max in the front, and toe out at max in the rear, then applied max camber to all four wheels.

I entered the autumn ring kei car race. I pressed the green flag button, and by the time the screen faded out of black, the car was already in the process of tipping over.

Honda Life Step Van?
Z Act? XD

Z Act sounds like it.

It was also fun to race a vehicle that would flip before you experienced any understeer/oversteer.

When I get bored with GT5, I quit playing....sometimes for months on end. Or I build a cockpit thinking that will spark my interest all over again.

*GASP* A Super Moderator made a spelling mistake :p

Probably, I'm fricken exhausted right now and can barely think straight, but thanks for caring. :)

I don't mean much by it really, your team never makes such mistakes, but it's good know you're all human. :p

I guess I'm getting an infraction now :(
