is the new mustang gas efficient?

1. Depends on your idea of "efficient."
2. The new mustang is not a concept, if that's what you're asking.
3. Sports.

Personally, I wish the Ford designers had been a little more creative, rather than just using recycled design features.
 
The new mustang is freakin sweet. Ford impresses me more and more with what they are building.
 
I think the new Mustang looks good, and sounds like it runs well, too. I doubt that it'll be fuel efficient, at least in the higher trim levels. They'll probably still keep the V6 version, though. That one will probably still get around 20 mpg, which isn't that bad. As far as sport/luxury goes....you can have a luxurious sports car, and I'm sure that Ford will be trying hard to make the interior nice. I doubt they'll come close to something like Lexus, but they won't be leaving the interior with plastic floor mats. And the best part about it is....it's a Ford. So, you don't have to pay the import duties that jack up the prices of all the foreign cars.

Overall, Ford's new look is going pretty well. I liked the looks of the new Thunderbird (but I heard it handles like crap), but they made it too expensive, and no one bought it. Lots of people buy the Mustang (even if they're all the V6 version :irked: ) so it should do well.

btw...last new mustang thread got shut down (I think), so your cousin better be lucky.
 
The new Mustang looks like a hit - but the current one is probably the best vehicle on the market. I hope they can equal it.
 
I very much dislike Mustangs because every non-asian wants one and think they are so super cool when they get one. (Talking about most, not all 17+ teenagers, I'm 18)
Maybe I just hang out around asians too much or something. Most of my friends are Euro fans like me. I do think that the look of the new mustang is much better than the crap excuse for a car the current one is.
 
Wow your an idiot, you hate the car cause non asian drive it? And because every teen ager in the world wants one. Well first off it doesn't matter what race you are, a cars a car. Second not every teenager wants one. I know plenty that just don't care what they drive.

I'm guessing you've never driven a Mustang nor rode in one. There is no way in hell the car is crap. But your just a racist or sterotypical bastard. There is no use talking any sense into you.
 
I think he's saying that they're too popular. I'm guessing that he himself is white and has a desire to be different from the stereotype.

Back on topic, I'm not at all what you could call a fan of domestic cars. I love Japanese cars above all else. So it might come as a major surprise that I really like the new 'Stang. I think it captures a lot of the spirit of that made the original great, and it a huge leap above the current generation model. I honestly find it the most attractive car of its model year. I would buy one above any other car in production for 2005, at least out of all the cars available in the US.

You do know that if you purposely do the opposite of "what's popular", you're just letting society dictate your actions just as much as if you actually did what's popular?
 
When I first saw that Ford would be doing this style Mustang again, I thought it looked god awful. Maybe they changed the design a bit or maybe I'm nutty, but I like the way it looks.

The GTR Mustang sounds interesting as well.
 
I agree with you 240Z. I really hate the colour and the carbon fiber hood. Its fast as hell though.

20 mpg a V6? no way. it should be WAY more efficient than that AND the V8 should be making at least 20 mpg. modern V8s are really efficient, even when tuned. they dont have carbs anymore.

as for the Mustang, it is a nice remembrance, but I think that Ford deviated too much from the impressively good looks of the concept and really ruined the production version with some details that could have gone unchanged. but hey, im not complaining, id really buy one.

Mustang is crazy, it got speeds looks and its as cheap as hell well i wish they would makeRHD versions so ill see em around Harrow down England
 
I love it...I saw it up close at the auto show this year and it was gorgeous. My beef with it is that the SVT Mustang for this year is using last year's body :(. Well, that and a few of the changes from the concept that shouldn't have been made. How long do you think until they release an SVT using the new body?
 
I really don't like the boxy figure it has at all....

I would rather take a Mustang Cobra...

And I think the Fastback looks way better than the New Mustang...

The new one just gives me the creeps... Ugly....
 
It's a Mustang, they always look bad until you actually see them in real life. I saw the Concept Mustang at the Pacific Auto Show, and boy did it blow me away or what. What a beast. I can't wait till the new one hits the showroom's.
 
Here let me add to what I said.

I think that it is ugly. I'm sick of seeing it. I don't like it at all one bit. Like I said the new one is much better. But I will still say that I like more of the Euro cars style. Also calling someone an idiot because they are influenced by there peers and have different views about something isn't the most brilliant comment either.
 
But your just a moron. Think about your previous statement. You hate it because non-asian drive them. By that logic I could say I hate the Escalade since a mojority of the owners are African American.

*Just a note I like the Escalade and have nothing against African Americans.

Plus your one of those people who would drugs cause your friends do it. Learn to put forth a senseable comment.
