For me, it's electronics. I can't resist the electronics. I bought an HD TV and I have like 4 computers.

What's your weakness? What do you treat yourself to?

I splurged on the fancy toy in the garage with the blue and white roundel on it. (see sig) If it weren't for the additional expenses associated with a child, I'd be spending even more $ on it. Mostly to make it competative in autocross and for track day entry fees and lodging.

 Some people have nice boats. Some people have monster entertainment centers. I have a car.

I also like to eat and drink. And I like to travel.

Like the rest of you guys, I like electronics too. But my wife is pretty good at keeping me in line about that kind of stuff. I only have 2 computers and I only upgrade once every 16-18 months.

I splurge on computer parts and food...

Well, let's see. In the last year I have bought a stereo, a PC, a digital camera, a camcorder...

Getting the picture?

I'm a prandial buyer - I won't buy anything for ages, and then I'll suddenly buy a new amplifier. My PC is on a 4-year renewal schedule, but then I generally buy a very high-spec machine.

And I like nice whisky and nice wine.

For me, it's electronics/computer stuff and good food
within the next 2 months I'm going to buy the following:
$400 for an ultralight 6 hour battery extention for my laptop
$300-500 on a digital camera and accessories
$200 on better headphones
$175 on a dvd burner and a spindle of dvdr's

Later on, i'm considering a digital SLR camera, and a better speaker system for my computer

- most of these costs are including the discount I get for working at a store that sells these things

If i'm not broke by this coming spring, I'm going to try and get a motorcycle 👍

Over the past 4 months, I've gone out to eat like 15 to 20 times - most of these times, it was alone for lunch at school or work

Most recently, $400 of paint and fiberglass on
///M-Spec
the fancy toy in the garage with the blue and white roundel on it.

An Infiniti Reference system comes later.
Then american ellipsoids, so I can blind old farts with 9005s!

I love gadgets and electricals :D MP3 Player, Digital Camera, Computer , another steering wheel ...in last couple of months.

Want a TV card for my PC next and a bigger monitor, optical mouse, DVD burner, and a new desk chair ... not much really, oh and maybe a new desk 👍

And I never resist decent booze on special offer :sly:

The last buy was double-glazing. The next buy is a pair of floor-standing subwoofers for the TV, followed by a pair of Pirelli P6000s for my car. Mainly it's all house stuff, but, and Kelly would be proud, there's an Esprit coming to my house in the course of the next couple of years... :D

Nah - just an ordinary 98/R V8. It's a little way off at the moment - although I have recently stepped into an inheritance-sized pot of cash, I've got a house to spend it on and a perfectly good car I don't need to change. Yet. :D

I typically splurge on tons of PC/PS2 games, but I'm stopping that, since I'm starting to save for the day when I buy my first car. Hopefully it'll be a 240SX with an SR20DET waiting to be swapped in. My major concern is insurance though, damn corrupt province :grumpy:

Usually 1:18 car models - I can occasionally leave a shop like ModelZone without a purchase, but it doesn't happen often - and books, particularly Terry Pratchett ones. If I see a Discworld book I don't have, I'll just buy it immediatly, regardless of what I left the house to buy in the first place.

I'm trying to not spend too much on the Mini, and am currently winning.

I don't splurge on anything because I have no job and therefor no money to splurge. My dad on the other hand, lets just say he has 9 computers and only uses 2.

I splurge more on my boys then on anything/anyone else. I had a lot of toys, and it was fun. But now, it's their turn. Whatever they want, I usually buy. Yes, they're a couple of spoiled brats, but I don't care if they are. They deserve it.

Most of my money goes towards cars and some of the other money goes towards electronics like car stereo, home stereo, new comp. 2 ps2s, router, games, surround sound.....

Like many of you, I splurge on electronics, but wisely. I always look for good prices. Lately, I bought a car stereo, a digital camera, computer stuff, and I rent a lot of movies.

I'm thinking of getting a dual layer DVD burner and a spindle of DVD-Rs. I saw one on newegg.com for $83. It seems soooo tempting. iPods also seem tempting, but they're just too expensive. I tried the freeipods.com thing, but they took away the eBay deal.

Or maybe I should just save up for a car. I doubt I'll be driving my parent's '97 Corolla for the rest of my life.

I can relate to that. Except it isnt an amp, it is a set of Oakleys (most recent), a good leather jacket or a new cell.

My regular splurge is..........books :D. Usually online, and usually in clumps of 4 or 5.

The urge to buy things for my car is now in recession. I'm buying a couple more things and then that should be it for a while. Then I'd like to cut down on my eating out. I don't mind taking my girlfriend out to eat, but I hate spending five to six dollars a day on myself for fast-food.

Like a lot of people here, I like to splurge on electronics. I've got this thing that makes me want to change my mobile phone every 6 months. I try to justify my habit with the thought that mobile phones are constantly improving (and getting cheaper for more features) and a phone is under constant wear because of the daily use.

Hey flerbizky need a wheel set for a mountain bike? I was trying to get Crossmax disc for $275 but it was already sold... I have to sell mine and then use it to get the wheelset I want. It is expensive... luckily all I need now is the wheels.
