Realtime Adjustment. The little menu that comes up that allows you to change the ABS, traction control, brake balance, ASM and torque split during the race.

If you'd googled "GT5 RA Menu" you would have all the info you needed

I never understood why people ask before doing any research on their own.. *shrugs*

Most people don't know about it because you must configure your controller to find it. It's not in the default button mapping. Great for shuffle races and the new TT!

so keep it a secret!

Haha I think a lot of people don't know what it is

Can I be Honest and say that I sort of did know what it was because I've been using it for some time now, just didn't know the abbreviation 'RA" meant what it did.

I do shuffle a lot and would like to look into this as well.
I found how to set up RA.
Can anyone suggest basic BB settings for FF, FR and 4WD cars... or is it just too varied to apply a simple solution.
I currently am forced to drive auto because I have a Logitech Wireless wheel without pedals, so maybe good BB settings could make up for time I'm losing by driving auto.

If you have a wheel with a D-pad like the Fanatec GT3 RS or a D-stick like the Fanatec CSW, you can map the RA up/down/left/right to the pad/stick and tweak TCS, brake balance, etc. on the fly. Other wheels like the DFGT came ready to go.

Double-T: these settings are wildly variable. They are meant to emulate the controls real racecars have that are adjusted sometimes every lap.

You must learn what they do, no one can give you a generic setting.

Aside from the fact that this game is so deranged, it has 2 independant settings for brake balance, which is entirely illegal and illogical, I can only offer the following rudimentary advice:

If you are being beaten by others, increase both brake settings, so you can brake harder and later. *without skidding* Some cars have the brakes by default so sensitive that they will instantly skid if you even look at the brake pedal. In this case reduce them.
Once you've done that:
If your rear end slips out from under you during braking, reduce the rear brake.

Both of these problems could be a sign of some other more serious suspension problem, but it doesn't sound like you care about that.

The 4wd setting I'm entirely unfamiliar with, that not being anything any racing organization seriously uses. So you're on your own there. Some cars used to allow anti-roll bar adjustments too, but not in this game.

And then there's the lovely traction control setting, which is blatantly obvious how it works, but everyone hates for some reason. Seems to be based on robots taking over the world or something...?

And I'm fighting a losing battle in pointing out that ABS is banned everywhere. Be a good boy, and just turn it off entirely. It will help you figure out the brake balance as well.
