What edition(s) of GT5 will you purchase?

To me a "special" or "collectors" edition needs to warrant the extra money it costs to buy the game..

If it gives me extra value for paying the extra price, then I'm sold..

I wouldn't throw down my money for every "limited editions etcetera".. but if it enhances my enjoyment, or makes me feel like I get more deeper into a certain series. Then I am willing to pay the price.

But If it is a new series, or a game I'm buying for the sake of getting a "new" game.. I don't fork over the extra money. Its mainly because there are so many companies out there that would throw out a sub standard "collectors edition" just to cash in on consumers who automatically think that because you pay extra means "thats the best version because it costs more"...
 
I won't bother with any frills. If I get a PS3 I'm gonna get the regular GT5. Just gimme GT5 and PS3 and I'm happy.
 
Ultimate for sure, as long as the contents are worth the money.
 
Standard. If it doesn't effect the game or give me anything extra I cant get anywhere else I don't need all that extra junk.
 
Ultimate if it's with the DFGT.
 
Standard for sure, after waiting for a quite long time, the game is the only thing coming from PD that really interests me.

A Collectors Edition would be nice, but I just don't think it worths more money just by having some add-ons and toys. I would be only paying to have a big "Collector Edition" moniker on the cover, so Standard is ok to me.

Collectors. I really want the book, and the ingame cars. Maybe I'll sell the model car, unless I really like it.
 
Right now I have the CE on pre order, but I might be willing to get the Ultimate depending on what it includes and if it is even available in the US.
 
I bought the Forza 3 CE (regretting it now as the Kia Forte has been released as DLC), so it's only fair I buy the GT5 CE.
 
Collectors edition is what i'm aiming for.

Might stretch to this mysterious 'ultimate' edition when they finally reveal whats in it. But if it doesn't contain a wheel or something of decent value (Like some Motorsport memorabilia of some sort), I probably won't bother. Depends on what it offers more than the CE and for what price.
 
I'm curious about this supposed "Ultimate Edition," but at the moment I'm signed up for the Collector's Edition.

Same if it's not announced here in AU/NZ, I'll just get the CE then.
If I'm too late to order the CE then I'll just buy the standard edition instead. :)
 
Ultimate edition if I can get my hands on one,But I've had the regular one ordered for about 3 years..:lol:
 
I was thinking Collector's, but it depends on the details of the Ultimate.
 
probably standard since i my true love for GT died with gt4. but, if ultimate comes with a nice gt5 g27 wheel then ...
 
I have the collector's edition but it the ultimate is priced fairly with something I just got to have then maybe I might get it.
 
I pre-ordered the CE, so I am getting 5 DLC cars, a book, a keychain, a model, and the game.

I estimate the following:

DLC cars = $1.99 x 5 = $9.95~ $10
Book = $15
keychain = $2
Model = $20+
Game = $60

total = $107.00+, but the CE was only $100, so since these are all things that I am pleased that I will soon own, I see it as more than worth it.

Also, the Keychain is almost the best part to me (besides the game). Ever since I got last in my first GT game, and I got a nice little leather keychain and like $200 cr, I have wanted one in real life!
 
I have the CE on pre-order, $100 is the most I'm willing to spend on a game. I can't imagine spending nearly $200 on 1 game unless there is a crap load of stuff that is worth it.
 
I will go for the CE . The ultimate is too expensive .
 
Depends on what the ultimate edition contains if its alot il go for that otherwise the standard edition as i would rather play the game than read a book on how to play it like a professional.
 
I've already pre-ordered The Collectors Edition along with the standard edition.What the hell,I may as well order the Ultimate Edition.
 
I will get the fourth edition of GT5, bundle with PS3. :dunce:

It was not announced yet, but it's just a matter of time as we know...
 
I will just get the standard edition and purchase DLC later on at some point (if it is offered..)
 
As of right now I have the Collector's Edition ordered. But it's very possible I will change to either the standard or Ultimate

The way I see it, the DLC cars that are being released as pre order bonuses and the collectors edition stuff specifically will be released one day as a normal dlc pack. I mean we all remember the fuss that GTPSP caused with the DLC cars. When ultimately they became free dlc.

The book just seems to give you general driving techniques and other car related materials based on it's description

I cant say anything for the keychain, I do think that's cool.

but the way I look at it, the collectors edition is starting to be less and less collectible. The content inside it is actually rather average and if our poll here and amazon's tracker of best selling video games is any indication, this collectors edition will be out of 100000 or something.

The ultimate edition is really the one factor that's keeping me from switching. The GT4 ultimate edition had a pair of shoes from nike in them. That wasnt worth it in my opinion because I would get no use from the shoes. But there is rumor that GT will be doing something with Mercedes as the release date gets closer. If the ultimate edition doesnt prove fruitful. I'll just save my 40 dollars and go standard
 
Ultimate edition, with kettle, toaster and fingerless oven gloves for me please.
 
Ill buy the standard version unless whats in the ultimate edition has a decent wheel. The Collectors edition isnt worth the money in my opinion. I got more for my money for a lot less with the Collectors edition of Forza 3.
