What games are you playing now?

I'm concentrating on Horizon Forbidden West (PS5), but it has been less enjoyable than Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm still liking the story, characters, voice acting, and the world in general, but the game feels longer and burdened with unnecessary content, like they wanted to do their version of Witcher 3 or AC Valhalla, and things like climbing mechanics and jumping animations really didn't improved, in fact they feel kind of worse. Really, Aloy has some of the worst jumping animations out there. And the combat, I just put the difficulty in story to avoid more frustration.
Agree on all points. A good game, for sure, but I think I prefered Zero Dawn.

Stalker 2, just hunting artifacts every playthrough. I'm still at 6% progress for the story lol

KDC1. Just bought it yesterday after the next gen update dropped. Quite a chore but it's interesting too. Hopefully I don't loose interest in the long run.

Vurtua racing on my Switch 2, Daytona USA and outrun 2016 coast to coast on my PS3. Man these simple arcade games absolutely crap all over modern race games. One car and three tracks done right go a very long way. I remember Sega Rally Championship on Saturn. I played that for massive amounts of time trying to beat my best times.

After a long pause, I picked up Final Fantasy XVI again and I hope to finish it soon. I gave up on the PC version because of the stutters, and this seems to be a general issue, if the forums on it are to be believed. At least the Xbox series X version runs smooth at or near 60 fps. I'll give my opinion on it after completion, but it's safe to say that for me FF VI will never be topped.

After a long break because of a particularly challenging project at work I got back to Armoured Core 6 yesterday, the vibes are so immaculate. Before that I'd only had time and energy for Cookie Clicker and then quickly beat Proverbs (like a less difficult Mega Mosaic, which was my first 70 hours of gaming for 2026), not much to say about either of those though. AC6 is just too good, glad to be back.

PC - mainly American Truck Simulator delivering valentines presents
Just started a new tertiary PC save on The Crew 2 (which I had bought when it was 80 pence!)
I've also downloaded Forza Horizon 3 to run some events - I still have many cars left to buy - super smooth at ultra settings on my laptop.
And I run a daily race on Forza Motorsport 23 to get my reward points - gradually working through the remaining events.

PS4 - just running 3 GT7 weekly event races each week, still have 90+ cars to collect gradually.
And my secondary The Crew 2 save on the weekly summits.

Xbox - The Crew 2 (main save) and Motorfest.
Ride 2 career and unlocking the bonus badges by doing quick races for the daily challenges (I love this part of Ride 2 as it gives you the opportunity to ride bikes that you never use).
Project Cars 3 - I have been enjoying the last few days of the daily time trails before it goes offline 😭

About halfway through Resident Evil 9.

Can't deny the quality of this game, very good so far, im expecting the story to pick up a lot in the second half as Raccon City and the original T virus outbreak has been mentioned a lot prior to release as its not got into that all that much so far.

The only downside for me is the amount of times the game changes who you control, both characters play very different and in my opinion breaks the flow of the game a little, not a big deal though.

I like the story so far (not sure where I am in the game but I would say past the middle), the fact that the first part of the game gives you no KP with the 2nd character is a bit frustrating. Some choices by Grace are a bit questionnable as well. I like both playstyle even if Grace sometimes is a bit slow to move the way I want. So far I'm enjoying my time, let's see where we are going.

This might be a stupid question but what's KP?

I get what you mean by Grace feeling slow, not sure if it's intentional game design or because I played her section in first person view.

That care centre section with Grace in the beginning was classic RE, I loved it and cant wait to play it again but in third person this time.

I'm at the end of RE Requiem. It feels like many Resident Evil games spliced together and as a lifelong fan of the series I am loving the game.

Interestingly, even though I consider myself a horror survival fan more than action, I am enjoying the action bits a bit more here especially in the second half of the game.

Its not, I wasnt sure how to name the Bonus Point/Killing point you get with the 2nd playable character as I play in japanese subbed in french.
Ah I see. Yeah im with you on that, another part which adds to the breaking up the flow of the game when switching between characters.

Im deep into the second half of the game and much prefer it when the game sticks with one character for a long period of time.

I've had it since launch, but still popping back to RDR2 from time to time (last played in January '25) and last night I did the final mission before starting Chapter 6.

Knowing what happens to Arthur, it's getting more and more poignant, the closer I get to that point.

NASCAR 25...

Trackmania...

And Not Wheels Unlimited...

Well I would be if the servers weren't down for Emergency Maintenance ... 🤣😂
