I have a skylight window above my bed and the rain is making a bloody racket on it. :mad: Could be a sleepless night for me...
 
Currently grinding my gears are the folk in this thread trying to post as much as possible to win 'Grumpy of the year' award. Let's face it, you ain't beating me at a Mr grumpy competition, no matter how much more you post than me, it's all about content chaps! And I am the most miserable git you'll ever meet, even when I'm happy.

Secondly, grinding my gears is the fact that it's 4am, I'm drunk, already spoke with the missus, have work in the late afternoon tomorrow yet must sleep0 because I took to many body shots in a 'friendly fight*' this evening.

*We're good, very good pals but he's MMA and I can only box. Boxing, I win, anything else, he has the upper hand. and that's it. I'm off to bed.

STILL Grinding my gears is all the slow chat STILL going on in this thread, moderators have warned about this and I don't want this thread shut, so please, stick to the concept 👍

Although your tales of drunken woe amuse me, the fact is I don't think it is setting a great example for the younger ones on this forum. Granted, you likely will never meet them and quite rightly don't care/think about that but it does sometimes come across like your almost bragging about it, which in my eyes at least is a little, well, teenage.

I'm not trying to have a personal dig or offend you and I hope you don't take this the wrong way but I had to say something.

^Im hoping to meet shem at some point in my life. He sounds like a fun guy to be around, if a little alcohol based. And don't worry, he's not going to turn me into an alcoholic. ;)

Same thing grinding me gears as Jai.

What do I want for Christmas? I have no idea, so I asked for Battlfield 3 and sony earbuds. I was going to get a wah pedal, but I have nobody to jam with and I don't want to waste my parents' money on something I won't use.

Along with what I want, I still haven't gotten anything for my larents or girlfriend! :angry: I have a rough idea of what to get for my mom and my girlfriend, and I know my dad wants a Rush DVD/CD pack. I have about three weeks, and $50. I don't know what to do...
 
What's grinding my gears at the moment is that my mum is trying to make me take a Latin GCSE when I have absolutely no intrest in learning other languages. AND it will clash with my normal GCSE courses that I will take next year. This means I will have no time to have a social life at all.
 
I can't finish a model car to save my life!


When I started building, I could finish them in two days. Here I am 2 years later, and it takes me 5+ months to build one, and they don't look any better!

Seems tough now, but frankly at your age, the odds of it lasting were slim.

Don't be so depressed mate. You live in Ontario (a place I'd give anything to be a permanent resident of). You are a stones throw away from the US and live right next to lake Erie. I know you're upset at the fact that you're father is $20,000 in debt, but really $20,000 is nothing so long as his debt does not keep growing.

If I was you, I'd study hard, finish School, get a job, save some money up and head for Toronto. Despite it's problems (soup kitchen's closing so the homeless have nowhere to get food, Taxi drivers being complete 🤬 and the horrible smell on Garbage day during the summer), Toronto is an amazing city.

The city is the most ethnically diverse in the world. You'll make friends, experience many different cultures, live in a beautiful city and still be within driving distance to your family. Best of all, in a few years time, when you're able to get a job and move out of your parent's house, you're father's debt will start to shrink, as he'll have one less mouth to feed.


PS. Please don't in any way take that to mean that you are responsible for your fathers debt. I simply mean that when you move out he'll find things easier.

But... But... As a sheep owner I know this. It will just run away and get hit by a car, as sheep are the most idiotic things ever! We had a Ram that would jump fences to shag the sheep next door instead of the ones here on out property! And the rest of the sheep just run away from you because you want to feed them, but they think you want to kill them.

Though, there are exceptions, we have a sheep we named Marty (yes, named after Marty Friedman) and you can pat him, and he'll follow you, you have to teach it from when it's born. Just like we did with our first lamb this year (the mother would have killed it by leaving it behind in a ditch, like it did to its other lamb). But now this lamb thinks it's a dog, and is wondering why we put it into a paddock now. :lol: It thinks our male Sheepdog is its mother! :lol: This lamb gives new meaning to the word, Sheepdog! :lol:

I know right! Then they act like there's some horrible thing. I didn't care about it when I was in that situation when we were back in class the next Monday (this from earlier in the year) But she acted all weird about it after she said, "No acting weird about it on Monday." :rolleyes: Pffft.

I had an amazing time in Toronto. I met so many great people. I also met a few guys who were around 18-21 who moved from places like Alberta and BC, so a lot of young guys are doing the same.

After the problems I've had with the UK government recently, I'd happily give up my British passport for a Canadian one. It seems I'm Tokyo bound, but I intend to get my Canadian PR card in the next 5-10 years. We can all dream. ;)

My life at this age.

Don't think I'm mindlessly saying how life sucks blah blah blah, it's just that this age isn't a great one to be at. I am hopeful that life will become way better, and that it's just this age. The problem with it is that at 15, you are treated as a child, and rightly so. Most people 15 can't be left alone to make decisions and live without supervision or guidance, although it would kill off the "stupid" genes. I have been told by numerous people, friends and coworkers, other adults, that I act much old than I am. I feel like I am mentally, as well. Being like this makes me wish I could just do things at my own pace on my time, not be forced into doing illogical things like arranging dishes a certain way or being yelled at because I didn't put out garbage when I am actually in the zone to do some homework. I just want to be able to make more decisions by myself, and not be around all of the kids that I am every day. Today was another example of the drug problem so many kids face:Two old friends of mine had been called down to the nurse for being drugged on on k-pins, and there were other kids that were out of their minds as well who hadn't been caught. There's the others who act just plain immature, acting melodramatic over stupid things, and instead of focusing on schoolwork that they are failing decide to launch spitballs at each other, hitting others in the room at the same time. At lunch today, I had to try to refrain from flipping out on all the kids around me making animal noises and being louder than I knew kids could be. I can't wait until I'm out of college (hopefully) and can (hopefully, again) live on my own property. I will be anti-social if I have to, but the point is I could do what I want.

In those dreams lies another problem, I have no idea whether my life's plan can work out. I have trouble focusing on the task at hand in school, and usually zone out and come back in. Sometimes after a long day when I'm tired I will listen to everything being said and then forget it in a minute or two because I can't focus. So the fact that I want to become an engineer (mechanical or electrical) scares me, being that it requires excellent grades which, as of now, I'm managing, and a 4-year degree at an appropriate college. (Drexel, Lafeyette, Penn State) To have a better looking repertoire, I'd like to go to about two years of community college as well. I just don't know if I can do all this, financially and mentally it will be demanding of me, although financial should be ok, as my dad would be proud if I could go through.
