Coming off of GTP for a few hours and finding that there are a million more posts on this thread...:ouch:

Trying to work with migrane...

I'm pulling a graveyard shift & the money is too good to call in sick.

Come on, hang in there, 'only' 6 hours left :(

Hmm, I'm not to sure it's a cold sore. See, the chapstick helped lower the pain, and made the swelling go away.

Plus it's not actually a visible bump, it's just part of my skin where it's turned red like it's irritated. The pain feels like a bruise as well. Could it be caused by the air being dry? Maybe me bumping into something?

Also, are canker sores part of the Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1? I get those a lot. It seems like a lot of people have HSVT1 though, almost all my friends say they've had cold sores before.

Coming back to GTP after a night to find that there are a million more posts in this thread. And then having my grandfather come in for a visit when I'm the only one home. I had to sit there for about one and a half hours saying almost nothing about nothing. At the one hour mark my brother came home. I hoped he would come out to talk to him so I could have a break. But no he heads straight into his room without a word and starts playing guitar. I had to sit there another 35 minutes!!! I JUST WANTED TO READ SOME POSTS IN A THREAD DAMMIT!!!!!

You have to remember that one day he won't be there any more, so you should enjoy your time with him while he's around.
Even though old people can be rather boring at times. :sly:

Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit's knockout thingy. There's no mind championship save, and the tracks a hideously long.

Friend zone? I'm permanently in every girls friend zone. It sucks.

I'm currently in the excruciatingly slow process of removing myself from the friend zone of a girl I've been friends with ever since first grade. Trouble is, I don't have the self confidence to ask her out.

On a different note, I feel really depressed.

9-10ish for me. I hate it I have to sit under my blanket with my iPod if I can't sleep.
I almost always do this. It's nice to listen to an episode or two of Old Harry's Game before sleeping.

He also puts a lot of stress onto my mother. He comes every Friday to make her do his paperwork. And then he complains about pointless things. He's nice now, and it will be sad when that time comes. But he caused so much stress it caused my grandmother to get cancer. She's dead now. :( He was a cruel father, he would beat his children for almost no reason. He even beat his own wife and they all lived in fear of him. Not meaning to be disrespectful to family but that is the dead truth. The beatings were hard as well.

But it is quite sad to see him after nana died. He got pretty bad and he never recovered, not even after four years. :(

I don't think stress causes cancer but I get your point. Sorry to hear that by the way. My grandfather's the same, not beating wise, but he does cause stress to my aunt and mum. Then again he and my aunt (who is now visiting from England) never got along since she left Australia.
He grinds my gears a bit when he doesn't understand how to use electronics after I've explained it a few times but he does have the excuse of being 84.

Right now, the delivery company is grinding my gears. I ordered a new Tivo couple days ago & it's already here.

Ordered my camera last Saturday & they said it would arrive early this week. Then, it was changed to tonight at 6:30pm; it's almost 8. How the hell does it take nearly a week to ship me something that's less than 40 miles away? Could have just picked it up if the option was there.

No but seriously, people seeing this thread as a competition grinds my gears..

Winner winner chicken dinner.

Second place goes to.....

This is seriously part of the reason that I don't post in here much any more. It's become a thread of one line conversation.

If you have a genuine gear grinder then this is the place for it, if you're chatting about how crap the weather is over the space of 2 pages then take it to PM.

84 is definitely an excuse to not understand, but take 20 years out of that number and that's me. ;)

I admit I have been involved in these one line conversations. :(

Bobs Track Builder is really annoying me right now. Apparently it is the most user friendly of all track creators... Then how come I can't put camber in one turn and ONE turn ONLY!!! How come I can't just line a wall with the track. How come I can't do it as simply as your tutorials depict. It's a stupidly agitating thing, and I'm fed up with it after it crashing the minute I think, I actually made a track!!!

The snow grinds my gears. Or the lack of it. They said it would snow this (Friday) morning, but all I have outside now is rain. Bloody Met Office.

I'm not really that bothered. All the snow we had has melted, all that remains is a smattering on the cars.

I doubt I'll see snow this year in CQ as the city never gets cold enough but the missus is going crazy to see snow as she's never seen it. That means when we go back to Britain I'll be getting hounded to take her somewhere snowy which will probably mean somewhere I don't want to go. That'll be grinding my gears very soon.

 I like to stare at fat people, but I saw this really odd women the other day, her stomach was like a balloon, really weird..

Didn't your mother tell you it is rude to stare?

My parents, again.

My brother has never really done much in his life. He failed the first year of uni, worked in the games industry for a bit, but didn't really do much, then had a couple of joe-job type affairs.

6 or 7 years ago, he decided to do something about this. He worked hard to clear all his debts and went back to uni to study law. He did the extra year to qualify as a solicitor and graduated this summer.

With the job market being the way it is, he's been struggling to find a job. All the while he's been looking for a job, my parents have been constantly hassling him about him being out of work (not that he lives in their house or anything), ranging from "still no job then" to "you really need to stop messing about and get yourself a job! The longer you stay on the dole, the less employable you'll become!"

My brother went for an interview on Tuesday and the company rang him yesterday and told him he hadn't got the job he went for, but they want to give him a job working in the litigation department. This is a really good thing - it might not pay as well as the other job right now, but if he works at it for 5-10 years, he'll be running into the "can afford a Porsche" salary range.

So what do my parents say when he tells them he's got this job, in front of me and the wife?
Mum: oh right
Dad: better than sitting at hom all day, I guess

Way to be supportive. They could have at least pretended to be happy for him.

I don't think work has paid me properly for the last fortnights work. By my count I'm nearly a nights pay off. :grumpy:
Now I need to wait for the boss to get back to me so I can find out if it's wrong or not.

Brando, I'll be your tag team partner! First we'll dispatch your boss then we'll put all the bankers to sleep too!!

The fact I can't tell the difference between a fat woman and a pregnant woman..

Usually, I can. But I've just been reminded of a very awkward situation from the past. 6 years ago, I took a temp job with Glasgow city council. There was one girl who worked there who was absolutely beautiful. Very natural looking. Not too skinny, but definitely not chubby. She was just right.

Except for the belly. Big old pregnant belly. Aside from being pregnant, she was in excellent shape. Anyway, one day, we're both at the filing cabinet and the small talk starts. I (being 18 at the time and still a little naive) asked her when the baby was due.

Her jaw hit the floor. Now I'm not exaggerating here, it looked like she was carrying a basketball under that top. Next thing I know, she's in the bathroom crying her eyes out and everyone in the office thinks I'm a total 🤬.

He's my mates father so that might be a bad idea.
And I'll need to get my money out of the bank first. They currently hold... most of it.

A different friend once gave up a seat to a "new mother" except she wasn't a new mother. She was carrying around a doll for a school assignment. We still laugh about it and that was 3-4 years ago.

The snow earlier, it was mocking me, it was falling but not settling. It was basically a blizzard. What did I do to deserve it?
